Yikes I just felt a pop! Jumped up and dashed to the bathroom but nothing. Not a drop? Thought it was waters breaking, maybe just a mega kick from the baby?! Gonna lie down for a while and see if anything happens or I imagined it! I'm so

Athers666 · 26/11/2018 14:48

Oops. I'm not due until Dec the 15th though!

kaytees · 26/11/2018 16:40

Eep @Athers666! Definitely have a rest, sounds like you need it. Yeah I think Casper is one of those names that divides people but I love it

Athers666 · 26/11/2018 17:28

Yeah just resting up now. Deffo a false alarm I would say. Phew!

AGirlinLondon · 26/11/2018 17:34

I was reading about these big pops/clicks on a forum the other day - definitely can be waters but my baby also makes some bloody strange noises now too!

emwithme · 27/11/2018 15:09

Currently in hospital, had gel inserted a couple of hours ago and (from what I can feel!) things are definitely progressing. Will be examined shortly, and then again in a couple of hours. Have managed to have a bit of a nap which was nice.

A tip for people who have their waters go before anything else kicks off - Tena Lady Extra Plus hold far more than maternity pads so you're changing them less often!

December2018 · 27/11/2018 17:56

I'll grab some of those Tenas they sound fab!
I got a pack of cheap maternity ones from Wilkinson's lol

Good luck babe I can't wait for a bit of good news 💙💜💖

Athers666 · 27/11/2018 18:35

Best of luck em! So excited for you!
Don't know what's going on with me at the moment, Braxton Hicks are about every ten mins! Mostly painless but a few have period type cramps. So no idea what's happening lol

MagicalCreatures · 27/11/2018 18:39

Good luck Em.
Have been checking every few hours for some updates 😂
Yeh those Tena’s do sound like a good idea.

Athers get on that birthing ball and widen that pelvis 😂

@December2018 that cream has worked A TREAT I am itch free!! Thank you!!

emwithme · 27/11/2018 23:36

Still in tiny room on induction suite. No room in delivery so I'm just plodding along here. DH came back for the evening (aka when we expected me to be moving to delivery suite for the drip) but I sent him home again about an hour ago.

Hoping to get some sleep...

December2018 · 28/11/2018 15:50

How you girls getting on today?

Just had my 37 week midwife appointment and my boy is still back to back

balalalala · 28/11/2018 20:30

I'm doing OK, starting to shift the cold and have told dh that come tomorrow night we start the plans to encourage baby out... I feel it's time now!

AGirlinLondon · 28/11/2018 20:36

Hey @December I actually questioned that at my last appointment - they never actually tell me which way baby is facing. Head down yes, but they keep telling me the rest doesn’t matter including if he is currently B2B (and I’m due on Tuesday). Weird eh?

0lgaDaPolga · 29/11/2018 08:13

It’s my due date today! No signs of anything happening yet but I’m starting to get nervous to go too far from the house. Can’t believe he will be here soon. It still doesn’t feel real!

balalalala · 29/11/2018 08:22

Fingers crossed for you! I've woken up feeling really anxious. I keep thinking he's not moving but counting the kicks it all seems very much normal patterns so not sure why I feel so worried!

MagicalCreatures · 29/11/2018 08:58

Happy due date Olga and to those coming up!!!!!!
I’ve still got 4 weeks to go but getting nervous too. God knows how all you must feel.
Hope Em is doing ok x x x

Hi magical, I'm technically 4 weeks away but having c section on the 17th. I feel a bit in denial about everything. Want t meet her but scared! What are your current symptoms magical? Has your appetite increased? Mine has, massively! X

MagicalCreatures · 29/11/2018 10:04

@smorgasborgen Hi Hun.
It’s nice that you know your gonna have her here for Xmas though.
I’m getting agitated over the fact that I have no idea when my little boy will make an appearance.
I’ve been really lucky through this pregnancy and have had no sickness or anything other complaints really. I forgot I was even pregnant through the second trimester.
But I’ve found my appetite has increased only for junk food. Where as I’ve been really healthy throughout until now.
And this last week, if I eat abit too much dinner, I feel abit sick and as if it’s gonna come back up.
I’ve had bad hip pain during sleeping for quite a while now but this last week the pain has moved into my pelvis and I am struggling to move around as quick as I was before. Can’t wait to finish work Saturday and put my feet up.
How have you been feeling? X

Full birth story will follow in due course but Matilda Elizabeth was born Thursday 28 November, weighing 2.9 kg (6lb 6oz for the old folk amongst us).

Birth plan went entirely out of the window except for the "overall aim" - safe delivery of healthy baby.

Athers666 · 29/11/2018 11:14

Hooray we have our first birth! Many many congratulations emwithme! Matilda is just beautiful. Lovely name. Well done you, I hope you're ok xx

balalalala · 29/11/2018 11:15

Congratulations!

kaytees · 29/11/2018 11:19

Ohh @emwithme she is stunning and I love the name! Look at her little eyes checking everything out. She's here safely and that's what matters. I hope you're doing okay too.

So many due dates and people getting very close, exciting! I'm booked in for my section on the 21st. Finishing work tomorrow so if baby can just stay in until at least Saturday.. his head has started to engage which I'm
Surprised by, I thought second babies did that closer to labour.

December2018 · 29/11/2018 12:07

emwithme omg!!! Congratulations hun she is absolutely beautiful!!
So alert, with those big gorgeous eyes!
💖💖💖

marthvader · 29/11/2018 12:09
