Yes, I get that pain too! Horrible! My cold has also ramped right up. I sneezed 4 times last night in a row and worried that my waters might pop lol!

Athers666 · 25/11/2018 11:22

Can't wait to see the first baby announcement on here! Aaargh so exciting.
So I am not going to work my last few days of work now. I simply cannot do it. I can't sit in the car without being in agony from rib pain, let alone drive and then do a day of work and then drive home again. I can't walk in either as even though I live pretty nearby walking is too uncomfortable and brings on the Braxton Hicks. Manager has been understanding about it but I feel terrible as they've had to sort out last minute cover etc. But DH put his foot down and said I'm not allowed to do any more! So yeah, officially on maternity leave now. Thought I'd be delighted but I just feel anxious and weird!

AGirlinLondon · 25/11/2018 15:25

Good for you @Athers. Makes such a difference not having to think about work.

I am starting to find the night times tough now. Restless leg and I have this weird sort of prickly heat rash too? Comes on when I get into bed.

I seem to be making milk now too!!

Anyway it’ll soon be over!

December2018 · 25/11/2018 15:44

Agirlinlondon I had the prickly rash, I went the doctors last week with it and it something called pupps... or something (I'd have a google)

He gave me epederm cream and it's gone now... I have a bath and smothered myself in the stuff, it really works
It was mainly on my bump, arms and legs and sometimes I'd get it on my back too, I got myself a pair of those exfoliating gloves you wear in the bath and I scrub my skin with them

December2018 · 25/11/2018 15:47

Athers I know what you mean about feeling anxious and weird, I'm so used to running around in work and when I finished the boredom kicked in fast! (Too much time to think) 😱
Hoping to decorate my living room next week tho... spruce the house up a bit to make time pass a bit quicker 😜

kaytees · 25/11/2018 19:45

Good for you @Athers666 - sounds like the right decision! I thought of you just now as husband has decided today that Casper is high up on his list again - wasn't that one of your preferred names?

AGirlinLondon · 25/11/2018 22:49

Thank you @December I did wonder if it was that (from my googling!)

AGirlinLondon · 25/11/2018 22:52

I will give the cream a go. Sounds like it is risk free and a nice treat

emwithme · 26/11/2018 03:52

Had such a disturbed night's sleep tonight.

Got up for what I thought was wee no 497 only slight exaggeration and waters have just gone.

Husband on night shift. Just waiting for his colleague to get him from the arse end of the plant and call me!

December2018 · 26/11/2018 05:37

Omgggggg that just made my tummy flip with exitement 😊
Does it feel any different to a wee when your waters go?
Sorry if that sounds daft but I have no idea 😂

emwithme · 26/11/2018 06:39

I went to the loo, did a normal wee, wiped, stood up to wash hands and it was like a no-control wee just went splosh onto the floor.

Since then it's been pretty much dribbling out whenever I move, no control whatsoever.

Am now at hospital waiting for them to examine me. Contractions coming every 5 minutes or so, but are breathable through with a little swearing.

December2018 · 26/11/2018 07:01

I'm so exited right now 😱😊
Haha "splosh" love that!

Athers666 · 26/11/2018 07:33

@emwithme All the best to you, hope you're okay!
@kaytees Yep you're right! We are probably calling him that 😍
Had a huge puke session yesterday as i didn't take my heartburn medicine and now I have pulled back muscles. Dying!

emwithme · 26/11/2018 07:35

Hospital have confirmed waters gone. Just waiting to see if I'll be allowed home for a bit or whether I'm off up to the ward...

Athers666 · 26/11/2018 07:57

Eek! Good luck x

MagicalCreatures · 26/11/2018 08:17

@emwithme ahhhh!!!! Excited isn’t even the word.
Looks like you will be the first after all.
Keep us fully updated. Love a love birth feed!!! 😂
You’ll have your bubba in your arms soon x x

Eek! How exciting! Fingers crossed for a good experience for you!

emwithme · 26/11/2018 10:20

Still waiting to see if I can go home. Doctor now doing c section so may be a while. I have given DH the bed as he's been awake since yesterday afternoon and I'm happy enough in the chair...

I just either want to get up to a ward (and send him home to sleep) where I can be co comfortable or ideally go home and get in my own bed for a few hours (and he can be in the next room sleeping properly).

December2018 · 26/11/2018 11:09

Good luck babes 😘😘 xxx

AGirlinLondon · 26/11/2018 12:53

@emwithme this is awesome - and you both must be knackered. Hope you get to go home for a rest. Can’t believe it’s finally time 😬 @balalala me and you are due the day after @em!

emwithme · 26/11/2018 13:05

Finally at home. DH about to go to bed. Induction moved to tomorrow unless things happen naturally overnight.

kaytees · 26/11/2018 13:27

Hope you get some rest @emwithme - being at home so other half can have a sleep is a great plan. Look after yourself xx

@Athers666 how funny! It is a fantastic name, I nearly fell off my chair when hubs said he had decided to consider it as he definitely didn't agree when I first suggested it. I'm pretty sure we live in different parts of the country so even if we both choose it we should be safe 😍

balalalala · 26/11/2018 13:35

@agirlinlondon ahhhh! Crazy! I feel like due date has approached so much faster this time.

Dh has been sent home from work as they said he's too ill to be there! Baby best stay put until we're both another couple of days through this horrid cold! Luckily dd is in nursery so we can both just laze on the sofa.

Athers666 · 26/11/2018 14:08

Lol Kaytees, imagine if we went for the same name! I'm glad someone else likes it to be honest as a lot of people I've mentioned it to have been kind of hmm about it. So the more the merrier!
I am sooo bored today! Stuck in bed with rib pain and feeling just rubbish. It's actual hell! Car is just sitting outside untouched, I want to cry, aaarghhhh.
