Hi everyone, just got a bfp this morning after over a year of trying, so excited whilst trying to keep calm as I recently had a mc. This will be my second baby, would love to chat to others who have just found out too!! Xxx

@smellsofelderberries fingers crossed for you SmileI'm sure it'll be fine, fwiw I'm going through similar, had light spotting Thursday but didn't mention it to mw as it was so light, then last night started spotting again but much darker red this time, but still not much, mw is on holiday so just waiting to ring gp so I can get a referral for a scan.

MakeLemonade · 02/07/2018 18:51

🤞🏼🤞🏼 for you both!

How was your scan elderberries?

smellsofelderberries · 03/07/2018 03:06

Healthy 8 week foetus with a nice strong heartbeat 🎉💕🎉

Koalatom1 · 03/07/2018 07:12

Hooray so pleased to read that!! Must be such a great feeling of relief xx

MrsY87 · 03/07/2018 07:14

Great news @smellsofelderberries

thismeansnothing · 03/07/2018 15:51

Hi ladies. Tentatively tentatively hopping on board.

Just got a bfp that popped up in about 30s so no denying that. I'm 33. This will be dc2 DD is 6. Had a miscarriage and a big haematoma in 2016 at 10 weeks which I had a d&c for. Then 3 months later had an ectopic and the treatment for that was just awful. I'm terrified.

Done a due date calculator and got 26th feb and 6wks today.

furandchandeliers · 03/07/2018 16:22

Has my scan today everything is fineSmile9 weeks 4 days, strong heartbeat, little stumpy Arms and leg buds, looks like a jelly baby!

Koalatom1 · 04/07/2018 08:28

I finally have my midwife apt tomorrow when I’m 10 weeks! Slightly worried it’s going to be busy getting apt’s to see them as I booked this one 4 weeks ago!!

I bought my first baby outfit today!! I love frugi clothes so bought a unisex sleepsuit. They have a cute 2 piece but I’m not sure on trousers & cardi for going home?

It’ll be cold so will need something cosey!

emalady · 04/07/2018 14:18

Glad everyone is doing ok. @furandchandeliers it could be the blighted ovum or it could be after 5 pregnancies your risks start increasing so that may be enough for extra scans.
I'm going for a reassurance scan tomorrow. Morning sickness and breast tenderness are both a bit better which has got me worried! Don't like the nausea but worry without it, so annoying!!

Since2016 · 04/07/2018 14:32

Congrats all on scans - lovely news! @Koalatom1 my first had lots of frugi stuff their snuggle suits are also great!

Pregnancy low today - retching on the tube and then on way to Waitrose - loudly 😳 oh and my manager said that despite my loose dress she could see... so despite my best efforts people are going to start guessing 😫 8 weeks on Friday .

jeanzbeanz · 04/07/2018 15:04

FYI everyone there is another thread which is way more active than this one - sure you would be welcome to join.

furandchandeliers · 04/07/2018 15:15

@emalady I hadn't thought of that actually, good point, I guess I'll find out Smile

Lulabell1 · 04/07/2018 15:47

Hello ladies..catching up sickness is very strong not a day goes by without being stuck too the toilet finding it hard at work! None of my jeans fit now and to top it off wasnt able to move our holiday so really struggeling on what to do and read so many threads on what others doneConfused. To top it off im craving all things i cant eat..patè, cheesecake and just generally cheese which iv worked out makes me very sick!! All fun and games ahhh

furandchandeliers · 04/07/2018 17:13

You can eat cheesecake! Why wouldn't you?

imreallyamermaid · 04/07/2018 21:04

@Since2016 I'm 10 wks on sat and my admin lady at work remarked that I already had a bit of a bump Confused I feel like I do as well! Think this may be a big ol bubba!
I'm ticking along nicely otherwise, expecting a call from mw tomorrow to arrange booking in, still so scared something might be wrong. I went through a therapeutic termination at 17 wks between ds and dd because little one had sadly passed away at about 16 wks, turned out he had a serious heart defect and downs so I'm a bit nervy atm.
On the bright side though still no actual puking just nausea mostly in the morning and usually as I get half way through my tea Hmm

Bluebeee · 04/07/2018 22:23

That sounds really heart breaking @imreallyamermaid

@koalatom I love you are thinking going home outfits already. I was on nameberry. Com yesterday. Anyone got any name ideas?

Koalatom1 · 05/07/2018 07:17

I did think I was getting ahead of myself with outfits!! It’s because frugi has a sale and I was looking to see if I could pick anything up cheap. Sadly without knowing the gender a lot isn’t neutral.

I do love their snugglesuit-gutted I sold all of my youngests (cheap too!) as he lived in them.

Names...I have always loved the name Rachel for a girl. Boys is trickier as I only ever loved the name Sebastian which we’ve used. My husband named our 2nd son.

@imreallyamermaid stay positive and have hope!! Sending love x

Koalatom1 · 05/07/2018 07:18

@jeanzbeanz that thread moves so fast I can’t keep up!

furandchandeliers · 05/07/2018 10:55

@imreallyamermaid Thanks that's so sad, I would feel nervous too but the chances of it happening again must be slim?

I'm thinking of names too,I like Isadora and Emmeline for girls names and Otto and Casper for boys. Do likes stan! Which I like but I want something a bit differentSmile

imreallyamermaid · 05/07/2018 11:02

Thank you, it was a very difficult time but thanks to some lovely ladies I met through here and dh and my family I came out the other side ok and had dd only a yr later, she helped heal me massively.
I like Delilah for a girl finding boys names harder we both only really like Harry but I'm worried it's a bit overused?

SallyStartsSinging · 05/07/2018 14:59

Hello! Can I join?

8 weeks here, due 15th February.

All day sickness, fatigue and now dizzy. Seeing midwife tomorrow.

First baby so what’s the etiquette on the thread xxx

Bluebeee · 05/07/2018 19:34

The other groups thread is full now so would be a good time to move over to their new one if you'd like.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3298120-February-2019-part-3?watched=1

@sallystartssinging welcome and congratulations! I don't think there is much of an etiquette tbh. Seems a free place to have a self indulgent moan/ get advice etc.

Rowse · 06/07/2018 20:26

Hello,

I've just read about a listeria outbreak, with 9 fatalities. It's caused by some frozen vegetables from lots of supermarkets and brands.

It's dangerous all the time but particularly for pregnant women and for unborn babies.

The (very long) list of recalled items is on the link below, definitely worth checking the freezer and asking in restaurants.

Dawny1234 · 15/07/2018 17:06

Hey ladies, I’m due around 14th Feb! Can’t wait for my first scan in a few weeks, keep worrying n thinking the worst but trying to stay calm.

imreallyamermaid · 18/07/2018 09:59

All booked in! Scan is next Tuesday... nervous exited!
