@furandchandeliers thanks for reply re deodorant. I'm not sure there's any credible evidence but can't help worrying 🙄!

I'm not buying a thing until after 20 weeks if this sticks. Good news is that I've taken. CBD just now and it's gone up to '2-3'. When I had my mc in April it progressed very slowly (I know they are unreliable but even the lines on my frer are coming up quickly and very dark now.) Fingers crossed anyway!

furandchandeliers · 01/06/2018 13:33

I've gone and bought a few bits today Blush jelly cat bunny from John Lewis and some books ( peepo, dear zoo, baby's catalogue, hungry caterpillar) and a Sophie giraffe toy 🦒

I have had a miscarriage before at 16 weeks with blighted ovum and the way I look at it is that you never know when it's safe, you can miscarry at any time so I'm choosing to enjoy it while it lasts and hope for the best, and buying baby stuff is one of my favourite pastimes so I'm going to go ahead and do it Grin

hayleyfx · 01/06/2018 13:50

@furandchandeliers that’s really a great mindset to have. I MC’d at 12 weeks in December, during that pregnancy I started buying stuff early and I loved it. Now this pregnancy I’m too scared to buy anything, talk about the future and I’m desperate to tell my mum but I’m scared to ‘jinx’ things. Your message made me realise that I need to enjoy this! I can’t change what will happen but I can make the most of it. That’s definitely changed my outlook!

welshweasel · 01/06/2018 19:42

Can I tentatively join too?! 4+2 following transfer of a frozen embryo - we had IVF in 2015 and conceived our son, who is now 2. We had 3 embryos frozen, the first 2 didn’t work and so this was our final go. Fingers crossed it works out.

furandchandeliers · 01/06/2018 21:09

I'm happy that's made you feel like that I read something similar on here a long time ago and it's what made me look at it that way tooSmile

imreallyamermaid · 02/06/2018 12:13

Anyone having any symptoms yet? I'm on a late shift at work today and am soooooo tired 😩 I feel like I could sleep for a week right now despite getting a solid 8hrs last night

furandchandeliers · 02/06/2018 12:34

I feel sick all the tine bit haven't thrown up yet and have been so tired I've had to take a nap in the afternoons! Plus my already massive boobs are even more massive and feel like two huge bruises on my chest!

Happy though, all good signs!

Celebelly · 02/06/2018 12:49

I have cramps and sore boobs but nothing else really! I'm only 4+1 so I'm still super early though.

Lily311 · 02/06/2018 16:22

Joining in too, I got my positive this morning. I have a DD (5) And the group I joined then was and still is a lifesaver. It only took us two cycles to conceive this time, bit of a shock really. I’m 38 and worrying a bit too much I guess.

I am dizzy most of the time and can’t bear the smell of coffee at the moment.

Fiep · 02/06/2018 19:09

Quite a gang of us now!
I'm 5+? (funky cycles) and have just started getting some symptoms. So far:

  • spots on my chin and upper lip area (despite never having spots before, even as a teenager!)
  • headache
  • low appetite (which has certainly never been the case lol, I love my food!)
  • tired and not sleeping well.
Only just developed over the last couple of days though and I think I'm closer to six weeks than five - the calculations put me as due Feb 2nd.

Going to the GP Wednesday. Not sure what to expect from all this, as a first-timer!

Trying to distract myself by doing some gentle (non impact) team sports which seems to help :)
Fiep x

PeggyO · 02/06/2018 19:42

Hello everyone! I'm 4+0 today, so still very early days. I am 32, already have a little boy (2) and this was our first cycle trying. I was away all last week and purposefully didn't take tests with me, but as the week went on I started to feel SO pregnant (nausea, funny taste in my mouth, really sensitive to smells, and totally off tea!) so tested as soon as I got back yesterday. It's weird as I didn't have any symptoms this early last time around. The line on my test yesterday was really clear and quick too so I'm keeping everything crossed that these are good signs! I'm another who can't remember when I saw the GP or had my booking in last time - I think I didn't call them till about 6 weeks though, can't decide whether to do it earlier this time!

hayleyfx · 02/06/2018 19:58

@PeggyO @Lily311 congratulations! I hope you both have healthy and happy pregnancies 🤞

@imreallyamermaid yep! I’m only 4+5 but I’m absolutely knackered all the time. I could sleep all day 🤣

Picklesandpies · 02/06/2018 21:22

Just checking in Smile Nice to read all the new posts. I think I'm 4+4 today. No symptoms really - maybe feel ever so slightly queasy from time to time but so slight it could be my imagination! Anyone else not feeling any different? Trying not to get too excited because of previous mc so sometimes forget I'm pregnant at the moment!

Daenarys · 02/06/2018 22:38

Hi everyone

Can i join too? Congratulations to everyone :-)

3rd day in a row of BFP today. Got coil out end of april and so excited things happened so quickly!! Have a little boy already, he will be 2 at end of this month.

Feeling fine, no symptoms. Worrying and obsessively POAS which i need to stop. Will definitely be booking an early scan.

X

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 02/06/2018 22:47

Hi! Can I join too?
4+4 I think currently, I reckon due around 5th Feb.
Just tiredness and hunger and frequent need for a wee currently!
This will be our second child, our boy is 2.5 years and has just discovered asking 'why?'
Congratulations everyone!! x

Koalatom1 · 03/06/2018 09:40

Morning all! Cautiously joining. Love my mumsnet group (although we'd moved to the social media platform!).

I had a scan yday and another Friday to check all is OK.
Think I'm due 31 Jan/1 Feb based on ovulation but EDD is 25 Jan! Can't wait to get past the 6 week mark as both my m/c before have been before then.

I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks on Sat, so hopefully that'll be a good distraction!

Hello all!

Chocodrops · 03/06/2018 10:51

Hi @Picklesandpies your post re. aluminium deodorants had me shook Shock I'm 4weeks+4 with my first and this pregnancy lark seems chock-a-block with pitfalls Confused

I use odaban to manage hyperhydrosis which is aluminium based and super effective - the thought of facing 9 months without something is unthinkable for me or those around me! Have googled around and seen that there are a few scare stories, but the facts seem to be that the aluminium is not absorbed into the skin or body, it just sits on the surface, so there's really no risk to your or LOs health Smile

Eyedontknow · 03/06/2018 12:12

Hi all, got a strong BFP last week and guessing I'm around 6w. @Fiep , I'm first timer as well and have booked a gp appointment for this week. I haven't really had any sickness yet, just sore boobs, mild cramping, and constipation/bloating. I'm tempted to buy another test just to confirm for myself I'm not imagining things.

Fiep · 03/06/2018 13:27

@eyedontknow I did that too! It's all a bit exciting isn't it. I'm sure you're not imagining it. But it is a weird feeling to just trust that there's stuff going on in there - particularly if you don't have symptoms or the symptoms are mild / ambiguous (like mine)....

Fingers crossed!

Eyedontknow · 03/06/2018 17:55

I caved and bought a CBD. Another positive so that means the frer last week wasn't a false positive. It showed 2-3 weeks (4-5 weeks) which is probably accurate even though technically I'm 6 weeks. I have longer cycles and only had suspected implantation bleeding 1.5 weeks ago. Feeling a bit better that it's not all in my head and wasn't a test error.

rose7120 · 03/06/2018 19:50

Hello
Tentatively joining after a positive this weekend. I have a 12 month old and been back at work for a month. This was a bit of a surprise, but a happy surprise Smile
My estimated due date is 1 Feb. I found my last pregnancy pretty anxiety ridden, especially the first 12 weeks. So looking forward to the chat to help us all through it! Hope you're all doing okay so far. Looking forward to over sharing Wink anyone else finding it hard to pee?? Hmm

LookingAtTheStars89 · 03/06/2018 20:03

Hi everyone!

I got my VFL at around 02:00am this morning and my bro around 2:00pm this afternoon. I'm not sure how many weeks/days I am but literally only just pregnant! I worked out I should be due around the 12th of Feb. I don't ovulate until late on, my last period started on the 2nd of May though!

Celebelly · 03/06/2018 20:20

Hello @LookingAtTheStars89 !

So nice to see you on here! Was following your thread. Congrats!

Mrscooper13 · 03/06/2018 20:24

Hi Everyone
BFP this week and a little bit shocked as wasn’t really trying but very happy and nervous
Think I’m 5 weeks and due 2nd February with number 2!
Really need to book a doctors appointment eek

emalady · 03/06/2018 20:41

Hi all, I'm 34 and had a couple of bfps following our first round of IVF will be our first child. As it's assisted conception I have a blood test tomorrow and if all is OK a scan at 6-7 weeks. Been trying for 2+ years and can't really believe it's happened. Not really got any symptoms yet, constantly tired but had that with the hormones before embryo transfer.

Might be worth looking on your local hospital website, locally we don't have to see a GP for maternity care, just self refer to the midwife online!
