@MrsY87 I'm really surprised you've had no reply - I would be very hurt too. Is there a chance she just hasn't looked at her phone or not received the message?

Our dc are nearly 11 and 8 - much harder to hide these things from!

MrsY87 · 29/06/2018 05:53

I sent it on WhatsApp so I can see she's read it. Her reply to my DH was oh my goodness we know who wears the trousers in your house. Sorry what?! We are both adults and made the decision to have a 3rd together it's just happened a lot quicker than we expected and we certainly didn't expect twins! Glad I'm not being over sensitive, she's always a bit weird but this is a whole new level of weird!

MrsY87 · 29/06/2018 05:55

Oh yes much harder to hide! When are you planning on telling them?

Picklesandpies · 29/06/2018 07:07

@MrsY87 what a bizarre reply! It doesn't even make sense. I'd be hurt too but she is the one who will lose out with that sort of behaviour. What did your husband say?

Picklesandpies · 29/06/2018 07:11

Oh, not planning on telling dc until after 12 week scan. Unfortunately my nhs scan is after we get back from holiday (to see dh's family who live abroad) so I think I'm going to move the scan I have booked for Sunday to one just before we go so I can feel more confident sharing the news with our dc before we leave and dh's family while we are there.

By the way, my boobs weren't hurting when I got up this morning - usually the really hurt first thing. Anything to be worried about? 8+2 today. Probably just be paranoid!

MrsY87 · 29/06/2018 08:07

My husband just said you know what she's like when I said I was a bit hurt by it. She has now actually just replied to me saying she's in a state of shock but happy with the news so at least that's something!

Good idea to move your private scan @Picklesandpies and fwiw my boobs haven't hurt at all not once yet so I'd try not to worry too much they do say symptoms can come and go.

Since2016 · 29/06/2018 11:36

Morning ladies. Had a scare last night - bright red bleeding late. Barely slept for worrying. Our EPU has a walk-in morning clinic and was seen within an hour.

Saw the heartbeat, baby all present and correct and measuring a week ahead of where I thought! So 7 weeks now instead of 6. V emotional - and challenging with a toddler in tow! Just thought I'd share my good news after a fairly sleepless night.

MakeLemonade · 29/06/2018 11:43

How worrying for you Since2016, so pleased it was good news. I had bleeding throughout both of previous pregnancies and it was such an added stress.

Early scan here today, all well with a strong little heartbeat. Put me at two days further along than I thought so 6+5 but said wait until 12 weeks as they’ll confirm then.

Picklesandpies · 29/06/2018 12:21

What a relief @Since2016. So pleased that it was good news at the scan. Smile

Since2016 · 29/06/2018 12:27

Thanks @Picklesandpies and @MakeLemonade - feeling v real now!

@MakeLemonade they said the same to me the dating scan will confirm but sonographer quite confident! Glad yours went well too. Such a relief isn't it!

@MrsY87 let's give her the benefit of the doubt shall we?!!!

smellsofelderberries · 29/06/2018 12:52

So pleased you had a good scan @Since2016 !

Anyone else knackered but struggling to sleep? I'm having terrible night sweats and waking at 5 every morning and just can't drift back off (until 6.30 which is when DH and DD get up so I get an extra 30 minutes then Sad) possibly pregnancy related, possible it's also just my-toddler-is-an-unreliable-sleeper-and-has-buggered-my-sleep-patterns related 🤷🏻‍♀️

Since2016 · 29/06/2018 13:07

Me @smellsofelderberries but also think this is cos DD has screwed my sleeping patterns. I'm enjoying naps this week no idea how I'll manage back at work next week 😫

Thanks @MakeLemonade

Glad to hear positive scan news from you @Since2016 & @MakeLemonade

It's my birthday today, 2nd in a row I've been pregnant on! Might go all out and celebrate with a glass of Shloer!

furandchandeliers · 30/06/2018 07:43

The hospital rang yesterday and said I'm having extra scans at 16 and 26 and 32 weeks, I asked why and they said because of my history but wouldn't go any further into it.

The only thing I can think of is about two years ago I was pregnant and got to about 14 weeks and hadn't had a scan, and I started bleeding and they scanned me and there was a sac but nothing inside, it's called a blighted ovum I think. Before this I had 5 healthy pregnancies. Could it be because of that? And is anyone else having extra scans?

smellsofelderberries · 30/06/2018 09:49

I forgot how un-fun going to the supermarket is when you have morning sickness 🤢 might switch back to online delivery for a few weeks I think!

smellsofelderberries · 30/06/2018 09:51

@furandchandeliers have you had a scan yet? The only thing I can think of is if you have placenta previa.

Since2016 · 30/06/2018 13:05

Happy birthday @MrsY87 !

@smellsofelderberries I missed my online slot and did the same today it was utterly grim. My sickness has stepped up - so looking forward to the rush hour next week not.

@furandchandeliers agree - no trauma before? How odd not to tell you why?!

OpenThatTrapDoor · 30/06/2018 14:43

@furandchandeliers I’ll have extra scans as I’m type 1 diabetic, from memory it’s something like weeks 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 then fortnightly from 30ish

So my first will be next week.

Lots of nausea here, and the tiredness is kicking in. Lots of tv time and easy meals for my three year old! Did manage to force myself out for a run this morning though which I’m really pleased about. I run a lot generally and really want to keep it up during pregnancy but struggled last time with the nausea.

furandchandeliers · 30/06/2018 15:23

I had a scan at 7 and 8 weeks one was for spotting the other was a private one bit the placenta wasn't formed then so they wouldn't be placenta, I've never had diabetes, so I'm lost!

The only thing it could be is the blighted ovum I think, that's the only thing that's ever gone wrong, everything else has always been text book. I guess I'll find out!

furandchandeliers · 30/06/2018 15:25

Is anyone else finding the sickness comes and goes? Mine was really bad this week and I've actually lost five pounds, but today I've been better and managed tomest and keep it down! Still can't keep my eyes open once it gets to about 2pm though! I'm napping daily!

5Makes9 · 30/06/2018 15:41

Anyone else still not really got any symptoms? With my last 4 I've felt so sick from 6-12 weeks solidly (all day, every day) but this time - nothing!

My tummy felt really weird yesterday but that's about it!

Mrscooper13 · 01/07/2018 20:04

I feel like I have more symptoms this time then the first

My boobs ache horrendously when I take my bra off
I keep try wretching
And waking up at about 5-6am feeling so bloated and full of trapped wind
Plus being tired is killing me any chance for a nap and I’m having it

Although I’m happy I got away with not drinking on my night out think it was too hot for anyone to notice or they just being polite

smellsofelderberries · 02/07/2018 03:23

@furandchandeliers I definitely feel like things come and go. Yesterday wasn't too bad at all and only had a bit of vague nausea in the afternoon. This morning my stomach has been churning and I feel really rotten. Have just put DD down for a nap and am in bed myself already.
I'm just reminding myself this is pretty much exactly how I felt with DD, it came and went with her too, so just being thankful for the days which aren't too bad!

smellsofelderberries · 02/07/2018 07:47

Have just moved my scan forward to tomorrow. I've been having brown tinged discharge for a few days now. I have had one MMC before DD where I had lots of spotting, but I also bled from weeks 5.5-14 with DD, so my body obviously just like keeping me guessing. Positive thoughts would be very much appreciated all, I'm really hoping everything is okay 🤞🏻
