I’m creating this thread so that we can continue the October 2018 baby bus. Only one page left on ours and once it completes we can’t share this link so getting this done now .... all aboard!

I'm getting more movements everywhere, i.e I feel something in my ribs and then lower down at the same time. Defo feels more urgent than it did a few weeks back! Wake up every morning with mid back killing, think this is more to do with how much bump has grown in last month too.

I've sent my number by PM @Milknosugar1

Not much going on between my sheets these days. I just can't shake that something will go wrong after mc last time. Normal service resumed when DS was about 20wks old last time.

TinyTerror1 · 30/07/2018 18:09

I sometimes get individual pokes still but mostly a series of pokes or rippling. She's just started with the hiccups, not too often so far. And very occasionally a weird stroking feeling down my side which I guess is baby turning around but it's very strange lol. And if I rub my belly I often find one area is firmer than another as if she's right there.

Does anyone feel anything in their back at all? I sometimes think I am maybe feeling a kick at the back but it's very faint.

My favourite thing for comedy - but not in the moment - is when she pokes me in the bladder while I'm weeing...

RhiBee29 · 30/07/2018 18:11

Went to see Mama Mia 2 last night and baby was loving the music, full on disco going on in there, it was making me laugh more than the film Grin

Havetothink · 30/07/2018 18:50

I'm getting huge movements, feels like I'm further along than I am. She's churning my whole stomach with legs and feet distinguishable to feel sometimes and seems to be trying to force her way out through my belly button most of the time, nothing at the back. A couple of times she's suddenly pushed down in a very uncomfortable fashion, it definitely feels like she's getting bigger, heavier and sinking.

Havetothink · 30/07/2018 18:53

Rib pain could be your rib cage expanding under the pressure, something they don't advertise prepregnany.

TinyTerror1 · 30/07/2018 19:11

Oh yes, has anyone's belly button popped out yet?

Havetothink · 30/07/2018 19:23

My belly button popped long long ago.

Doll87 · 30/07/2018 20:07

When the midwife measured her on Friday she said her bum was up under my boobies and head down in my pelvis....which made sense to me as I had loads of rib pressure and the top of my tummy was really hard/ridgey. I think she's moved slightly today as I've felt a lot of rolling movements 💕

Wish I knew how to feel her to know what position she was in! All so exciting.

No belly button popping here, it's kinda just flattened out lol. Perhaps I've got a really deep button? 😂

unicornchaser · 30/07/2018 20:11

Could be my rib cage expanding @Havetothink, my bra back size hasn't increased since the last time around 18 weeks. But maybe the top isn't going to expand more till right at the end. Glad I am still able to get away with my underwired bras though so I really hope my ribs don't expand too much up the top!!

Hayleyxmx · 30/07/2018 20:27

My belly buttons still an ‘inney’ it’s strange that was one of my things I asked my midwife at booking will be belly button be ok. I think she thought I was a bit nuts and said that’s the least thing you should be worrying about 😂

justtowarm · 30/07/2018 20:34

@Hayleyxmx my belly button hasn't popped and it didn't last time with my son.... I think it just likes being an inney

Hayleyxmx · 30/07/2018 20:41

@justtowarm Hopefully mine likes being inside too lol.

twobambinos · 30/07/2018 21:31

My bellybutton hasn't popped either it didn't the last two times but I'm a lot bigger bump wise now. I have anterior placenta I wonder if that makes a difference it does in my mind anyway

Oh I second the bra extenders picked up a three pack for about 2 euro. Well worth it. I don't seem to change cup size at all during pregnancy but my ribs definitely expand. I swell up after to rival an enlargement campaign however. Sports bras and breast pads at the ready for those few days.

I think I have everything bought for the labour and birth now just to pack the bags Blush and wait. Grin a long time.

Nausea and mild vomiting is back. And I think it's here to stay.

I think we are doing OK on the bedroom from maybe twice a week. We have done it a few times and I've had awful pains under my bump after so quickies only now.

I’m still also in the inney camp. I can see around my belly button where the old top of it used to be and that’s spread out to maybe 2cm all around and what’s left is now only half the depth it used to be. I can see the bottom now so maybe it’ll all come out in the next few weeks.

What do hiccups feel like? I’ve had some more subtle movements which feel quite regular but they feel too fast to be hiccups. Do babies just hiccup really fast and this is perhaps what they are?

The kicking and squirming can sometimes be really strong and has woken me in the night quite a few times. It’s such a funny sensation when a bit actually tries to poke out for a few seconds rather than just a quick kick eh? It’s a bit like a rollercoaster lurching type sensation. I also never expected to feel this much with 11 weeks to go!

@twobambinos so sorry to hear you’re suffering with sickness again :(

lovesrunning · 31/07/2018 05:41

Oh also, does anyone have a line down their tummy yet or does that come later?

RembeccaM · 31/07/2018 06:01

No line, no outey belly button- I just look like I've had way too much pie and beer Grin. I keep comparing myself to men with their bellies out in the heat haha

Belles86 · 31/07/2018 06:39

It looks like other people were up too last night? 😂 YAWN..

lovesrunning and milknosugar that's how my belly button is at the moment too. I read that nearly everyone's pops out but tbh my belly has only just got to looking nice and rounded (I carry a bit of extra weight so had the B bump for ages) so I'd be really gutted if my belly button pops out before I have time to enjoy looking nicely pregnant (vanity eh Grin).

lovesrunning The line is likely to have come by now I think but I guess it could still happen. For me the hiccups were very regular movements about 1 second apart. It was too regular for me to think it could be anything else, but lasted less than a minute.

Milk good to hear the NCT class was what you were hoping for. Mine don't start until 23rd August, wish they were sooner. Good luck with your appointment today. A couple of weeks ago I was having the waking up and not getting back to sleep thing, but it seems to have passed so hopefully it will for you too.

twobambinos I wish I was that organised! Planning to cut down on work a bit from Wednesday and actually start buying and sorting out baby and hospital bag stuff. Sorry to hear you have sickness again though.

caoraich · 31/07/2018 09:30

RembeccaM that's what I look like too! I can see the bottom of my belly button now though. I've NEVER been able to see it before, it's always been really deep!

Going to John Lewis with my mum today as I have a day of annual leave, and determined not to let her convince me to buy expensive baby things.... hmmmm

lovesrunning · 31/07/2018 09:30

Ah cute I think it must be hiccups then. They’re far too quick for adult hiccups but I realise I’ve never experienced baby hiccups before so that’s probably it! They’re very regular.

@milk yes! It’s very soft like baby skin. It’s so weird!

@tiny I think we’re allowed to be vain when our bodies are changing beyond recognition before our very eyes and we have no control Grin I’m rubbing in bio oil like a boss.

Maybe I won’t get a line...

Hope everyone sleeps better tonight :)

Havetothink · 31/07/2018 10:40

I have a slight line at 30 weeks, it was much darker in my first pregnancy. It's caused by hormones and the muscles separating. My muscles completely separated in my first pregnancy and never went completely back together which I assume is why the line is much lighter this time round.
