LOL - DS1 likes Red Hot Chillie Peppers and DS2 likes Metallica - may have to move out when they hit teenage years

annobal · 18/05/2007 19:11

Natty - I just answered your wanted post re birth ball - I got the one that Daisy recommended on Boots online for £4.50 - it's a great price and does the job perfectly - they also delivered in a couple of days...

foxybrown · 18/05/2007 19:12

pssst who the f* are lemonjelly?

annobal · 18/05/2007 19:13

I wasn't going to ask - just go and educate myself on itunes...

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:15

I think they are a punk band, I do remember them vaguely.

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:17

Just looked them up, not a punk band at all! They did that nice weather for ducks song!

annobal · 18/05/2007 19:18

As in 'when your shoelace breaks'? My dad used to sing that

derlor · 18/05/2007 19:18

hi (waves) everyone,
Natty - great news re paternity leave though.
muchostinky - hello and welcome
BZ - re your mum - i've got a mum that says stuff like that too.
Twiga - i vote we make you the thread law enforcer
well i've had a lovely day
DH off for 2 weeks now so i got to lie in till 10.30 then we took DD to softplay and i hobbled in then sat on my ass - then DD and i sat in Sainsburys cafe while DH did the shopping. We came home and the man who is doing our extension plans came round with the final drafts which are FAB - they have now been sent to planning. DH made tea and now i'm here!
wonder how Daisy and bumper got on ......

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:20

Glad you had a lovely day derlor! How's the pelvis??!!

derlor · 18/05/2007 19:22

Hi holly, pelvis is feling a bit better today actually though think that is down to the fact that i sat on my ass ALL day yesterday talking to you guys rather than the crutches
hows your leg?

notsolilKel · 18/05/2007 19:22

hello! just popping on while DH gives DS his bath & bed routine. The SPD has calmed down a bit, TG. It was freeking amazing, more painful than most of my labour last time (as far as I can recall!) I think staying off my feet, and, sadly, away from the PC, is helping a lot, so I've not been doing much except reading every silly magazine I can lay my hands on. Codeine is ok but would be better to have gas & air installed at home, methinks

So my countdown till Friday is still on. I've no idea how many people are on the cs "list" that day or where I am on the list. Hoping to find out when (if) I show up at hospital early this week to get my blood matched & other prep. Better not put me off too long, I'm one hormonal b*tch at the mo!

right off to catch up now...

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:23

Fine thanks, still a bit lumpy, but not black!! Dp had his bloods done this morning and he fainted!! I really hope I don't have to have a cs!

notsolilKel · 18/05/2007 19:24

Derlor glad to hear your pelvis is behaving better now too

must admit it's nice having the DH really pitching in for once!

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:26

Glad you are feeling better lilkel!!

annobal · 18/05/2007 19:27

Sounds like everyone has had a great day today. Lilkel, I can't believe that it will be only a week away - how exciting!

derlor · 18/05/2007 19:30

oh Holly i forgot to ask you about him - sorry can't believe he fainted did he get a cup of tea and sympathy?
Hi likel gald your pelvis is feeling better too - not long to go now so hopefully back to normal(ish) soon

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:32

He is a bit of a charmer and the nurses all fussed over him and gave him their quality street! He is such a wimp!

derlor · 18/05/2007 19:36

Quality Street???? pahhh he must have put on a good act!!! - i once had a man faint on me (literally) when i asked him about his medications - not a needle in sight just a simple question - he rolled off his chair and landed on my foot!! (maybe it was my startling beauty actually )

annobal · 18/05/2007 19:38

LOL Derlor - I'm sure it was Holly what was he like at dd's birth?

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:39

Lol, hope he wasn't fat!!

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:40

It was a water birth, so all the blood and stuff was diluted! He was very glad about that! After his first son was born he promptly threw up! That is why I had my mum with me as well, just in case!

derlor · 18/05/2007 19:42

He wasn't fat but he WAS smelly (sick face)

annobal · 18/05/2007 19:44

eeeuw - I thought DH would faint/throw up when he cut the cord for DS2 and got splattered - actually I thought I might

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:44

Ewwwww!!!!

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 19:45

Dp refused to cut the cord, I think that would have tipped him over the edge!!
