aaarrrrggghhhhh my computer is running really slow tonight when i press "add" it takes over a minute to let me add anything think i'll switch off and back on again to see if that helps

DaisysGotABigBump · 18/05/2007 19:59

Good evening Ladies.....

By heck you should see that tatts on that Bumperlicious......and when she says "bumper" she means it....its the nicest Mack Truck i've seen in feckin ages.

Shit just realised what chat room I'm in.....

Had a lovely day, Bumper is lovely but made me feel really old. We had a lovely leisurely lunch in Cafe Rouge, then wandered around the shops before getting the train home again. Then my DS picked me up from the station and took me for an early bird supper at our favourite restuarant.....I'm bloody stuffed full of lovely food now and can barely walk cos my pelvis has seized completely.

What a lovely day!!

BadZelda · 18/05/2007 20:00

Hey ladies
Glad to hear everyone sounding so perky - feeling much better now as well - a combination of the gorgeous weather (though did get somewhat sunburnt) and a lovely day with DD has cured my blues. Yep, Holly - the ducks song is the one that did it for her on the lemonjelly front. Also found an episode of bagpuss on youtube, which went down well. Having been deprived of telly as a child I hadn't ever seen it myself - it's so sweet! link

annobal · 18/05/2007 20:02

Glad you and Bumper had a great day Daisy! BZ - glad you're feeling better. T loves the spiderman episodes on youtube

derlor · 18/05/2007 20:02

oh Daisy, glad you and bumper had a nice day - however so far we only have your word for it that you are not in fact a hairy trucker who has stashed bumper in your big truck!!!!!
"BUMPER are you there???????"

DaisysGotABigBump · 18/05/2007 20:03

To catch up...

Hi Muchostinky, I remeber you from way back at the beginning of the due in June threads...either that or I've 'spoken' to you on another thread....

Natty....glad you're still with us and that bub is fine. I echo everyone else about your DH...they can't make hin take the time off, and the suggestion that he takes his leave later (after the pirates of the carribean big hype is over) seems like the better idea.

Derlor...glad you're pelvis is feeling better. After my wanderings this afternoon I have a small idea of how painful it must be....and I was on a promise from DH this evening too, but I think it's going to hurt too much

BZ...I do remember you telling us that before...pregnancy addled brains are terrrible things.....some detective me

Thinks that's everyone....It took some catching up!

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 20:06

Sounds like you and bumper had a lovely day daisy! Did you go trucking together and compare tats??

Glad you are feeling better BZ. How come it was sunny in London, that's not fair! It was shit here and I'm not far away!

DaisysGotABigBump · 18/05/2007 20:07

Bumper will be out of the firing range of a computer till she gets home tomorrow if she can get out of the boot of my car that is....hee hee...and I can get in first with the insults.....

Nah, it was a really nice day and I feel much more relaxed and happy than I have in ages....surprise dinner from DH was great too....he dosn't deserve all the bad press that I give him!

derlor · 18/05/2007 20:08

forgot about the pirates of carribean comment.........wonder if Natty is married to Johnny Depp

BadZelda · 18/05/2007 20:08

It's the famous brixton micro-climate

BadZelda · 18/05/2007 20:09

Well Derlor, she described him as a 'gentle giant' - depp's not that tall? Think us girls are safe with our fantasies [wink}

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 20:10

YES!!! We only have the youngest 2 boys again !! That means we can have a nice relaxing weekend (hopefully there'll be no wee again!!)! I am going to do a nice birthday tea for dd on Sun!

derlor · 18/05/2007 20:11

BZ she might just be trying to thow us all off the scent so we don't go running round to her new house to meet her and Johnny!!

derlor · 18/05/2007 20:15

LOOK i've fornd a photo of them Natty and Johnny

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 20:20

What an interesting sling she has on!!

DaisysGotABigBump · 18/05/2007 20:22

LOL Derlor....

Right off to spend the evening on the sofa with DH (what....again?!!). He's been making suggestions for an alternative to actual nooky since my pelvis doesn't feel up to it....I might be a cheap date, but it takes more than a bar of chocolate, taxi service and dinner for me to put out in that fashion.....but there's no harm in keeping him hoping

also...using DH's laptop and it's just too strange, back tomorrow!

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 20:23

Night daisy! Have a fun night trying nooky alternatives!! xx

annobal · 18/05/2007 20:25

Night Daisy - you never know, he might return the favour

DaisysGotABigBump · 18/05/2007 20:33

Still here....he's gone out for a cigar so I have a few more precious MN minutes.

Annobal, perish the thought at the moment...

Oh, had an antenatal appointment today...blood pressure rising and I think I have a UTI {thanks Lulu for the heads up on that one}....

I think if I sit down I'm going to fall asleep, so there won't be any nonsense going on in this house tonight!

derlor · 18/05/2007 20:34

night daisy
yeah Holly the sling is unusual - maybe it's some posh thing for carrying Tom in??

riabutterflew · 18/05/2007 20:35

Hi all. Catching up not too painful today, only taken me Camberwick Green and half of Trumpton!

Am very of daisy & bumpers meetup, wish I'd been, I'm sure a nice civilised day in York would have done me good (esp if there were hairy truckers to be had...).

Am pleased you got good news Natty, am on your behalf re DHs paternity leave, I also am married to a workplace doormat (though I feel a bit guilty about moaning about him so much when you sound to be in much the same position and don't moan), I agree about suggesting he refuses or takes it later - don't they have 6 months to take it? I suspect that my DHs work will arrange something he won't be able to BEAR to be absent for in case it all goes tits up as he is very sensitive about his reputation, so if he actually has TWO WHOLE WEEKS with no "popping in to check..." I'll be bloody amazed. I don't know anything remotely legal though so I can't help properly. There is a government website somewhere (linked from jobcentre plus) that gives you the lowdown on Working Time Regulations and the legalities of working more that 39 hours a week. Not that it's much use unless the employer reads it of course... I am pushing for DH to do SOMETHING as he regularly works 50+ hours and gets paid very little.

BZ, sorry about your mum. Maybe it would affect you less if not PG? Mine is usually fabulous but makes me cry at least twice during PG as she can be a bit blunt at times. (She did redeem herself the other day because her hairdresser had commented that it was a surprise I was having a third - was it planned? Mum got quite pissed off on my behalf, despite that being her original reaction!)

Sorry, long post - too long. Bedtime...

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 20:35

Fucking cigars, they are the bain of my life!!! Have a lovely sleep then if no hanky panky!! xx

riabutterflew · 18/05/2007 20:37

Sorry for being dim, but what is SPD (is that right?)?

foxybrown · 18/05/2007 20:39

Oh I watched Trumpton with DS1 last night as a special treat. (for him, not me that is)

hollyandalice · 18/05/2007 20:39

Ria it's a horrible pelvis thing where your pubic bone stretches and really hurts. Like someone is pulling your fanjo open! Not nice!!
