I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

Evening ladies! Anyone else constantly monitoring every little symptom or lack of and convincing themselves something is going wrong? I'm literally driving myself crazy :(

jennac · 09/06/2018 00:50

@fuckmyuterus you’ve hit the nail on the head there!! I’m always doing that. Like right now I’ve just come home from work and my nausea is worst than it’s been at any point in the last ten weeks...instead of just thinking that the sickness is having a bad moment, I’m convinced I’ve got food poisoning and something terrible is going to happen! Even though I’ve had food poisoning and it’s not like this. Going crazy I swear

Ash1992 · 09/06/2018 07:03

Anyone think folic acid makes you feel sick? I missed a day of taking it and I really didn't feel as sick as I did and was drinking more fluids

Kate0706 · 09/06/2018 08:53

@Ash1992 try taking it a t a different time of day, I seem to be better taking it after my evening meal rather than earlier in the day x

FuckMyUterus · 09/06/2018 09:11

No I mean like I've had minor cramps and pains in the vagina and despite that all being listed in Google as normal in pregnancy, I've convinced myself that I've either had or I'm having a miscarriage and it's all over. I can't stop, it's occupying my mind every minute of the day.

polkadotjersey · 09/06/2018 09:28

@FuckMyUterus Same. I was so excited to be pregnant and just not prepared for the fact that the first trimester is just a horrible combination of feeling awful and crippling anxiety.

Upsydasiy · 09/06/2018 10:51

@FuckMyUterus yep I get you! I cried that much yesterday I couldn’t sleep as I’ve convinced myself I have had a miscarriage 😩 DH didn’t know what to do bless him.

They don’t tell you how hard the first trimester really is 🙈

Just back from our early scan and it couldn't have gone better! My LMP date make me 9+2 but I have longer cycles and was tracking ovulation so has estimated myself as 8+3. She said currently I'm measuring 8+5 but reckons at my 12 week scan they'll make me a bit further along again so likely to be earlier in jan than I thought.

Got some lovely photos and got to hear the heartbeat which was incredible. The midwife who did it was so lovely and was able to put some of my concerns to rest too . So glad I did it - definitely worth the money!

Maxbenji · 09/06/2018 14:56

Finally got my scan date 26th june when according to midwife I'll be exactly 14 weeks... wanted an earlier one, debating to ring up and ask on monday...

Ash1992 · 09/06/2018 16:14

@maxbenji what area do you live in ? I have none when I'm 11 and a half weeks :/

Ash1992 · 09/06/2018 16:34

Is anybody taking a b6 supplement??

Maxbenji · 09/06/2018 16:47

West Yorkshire, I had my booking in appointment on Thursday so the letter was sent out quickly! Have you had your booking in? If so I'd ring the midwife to see if you've got one booked but not got the letter

Leliana · 09/06/2018 19:32

Having been in denial about it for a few days, I've finally admitted I've got a UTI and am on nitrofurantoin! Just took my first dose and am hoping it kicks in soon, as I feel rather miserable!

Hi all,
I'm due on the 13th of Jan. First pregnancy so needless to say I'm quite scared! So far the only thing I'm missing is the caffeine.. I know you're allowed some but the smell of coffee turns my stomach..and I was such a big coffee drinker pre-preg!

Leliana · 10/06/2018 18:08

Hi @esmith900! We have moved onto the second thread now - click the link above! Welcome! I'm due on January 13th too, and it's my first baby as well!
