I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

Morning ladies. So sorry to those who've had bad news, I had the same as Ozzy last pregnancy, however I wasn't told that the sac was too small, I noticed it myself. Mine obvs didn't end well.
My sickness is being helped massively by the cyclizine that my doctor hands out like sweets, but tiredness is absolutely killing me off. Regularly sleeping between 13-14hrs a day with naps 😴

Ash1992 · 05/06/2018 07:49

Morning everyone just woke up had a bite of toast n few sips of tea n was dry retching 4 times not nice at all now I'm scared to eat anything I'm 8 weeks today should I tell my employer as I feel so awful and feel I will keep needing to go to the toilet. Seeing midwife today hopefully she can give me something for sickness. I work 40 hours a week and I do nails I wear a mask but there is no ventilation in the salon my boss would have to get the fan working in the nail desk to dispose of fumes and dust as this is a health and safety procedure right ?

Leliana · 05/06/2018 08:23

Morning ladies. Just eaten two Kinder Bueno bars for breakfast Blush

@ash1992, is suggest you tell your employer and get them to do a pregnancy risk assessment so you can mutually agree what duties you should be undertaking while pregnant. Good luck!

Leliana · 05/06/2018 08:23

*I'd

loopdeelou · 05/06/2018 08:36

@ohhellojo I'm so sorry to see your news . It must have been a terrible shock and I'm sorry you have to now wait around for a week.

@Ozzyseb I'll keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞

@leliana thanks I will tell her today . I don't think she's going to be happy as she is struggling with her business and cant afford to fix things like the pedicure chair and now she would have to be paying me mat pay at the end

purplesmiler · 05/06/2018 09:48

Morning ladies

So sorry to those having difficulties sending lots of hugs.

Seem to have been feeling sick the past couple of days, it does seem better when I eat something but if I have to be a passenger in a car it makes it so much worse.

My boobs look like a road map and have had sore nipples. They feel swollen and uncomfortable.

Despite sleeping at least 8 hours a night by early afternoon I am shattered and do nothing but yawn.

Given my situation I am quite pleased to have increased symptoms I hope its a sign that things are progressing positively.

Jebbs · 05/06/2018 11:17

@Ozzyseb Hope that the next scan brings good news and you're in the 20% Is there someone nearby that you can talk to? A friend or family member who knows about the pregnancy for instance?

@ohhellojo Sorry to hear about your scan. Will be thinking of you as the week progresses and hope that it won't be too hard on you. Here's hoping that 3rd time's the charm for you :-)

stegosauruslady · 05/06/2018 11:48

Morning everyone. So sorry to hear your bad news, I'm thinking of you both.

I have just had my midwife appointment (at home! Woo! One to one midwives rock!) My midwife is lovely, ended up chatting to her about Harry Potter and gigs, which was great. I have a date for my scan too, she could book it on her ipad so I've got it booked for a day DP is off anyway as he doesn't want to tell work yet. Blood pressure all normal, I have no risk factors for anything - long may it continue!

emdoc · 05/06/2018 15:58

@Ash1992 didn’t last unfortunately, woke up vomiting again today. I’m 10 weeks tomorrow. Blehhh.

Ash1992 · 05/06/2018 16:13

@emdoc have you not had anything off your midwife I had an appointment today and she's given me anti sickness tabs and just said it will make me drowsy

emdoc · 05/06/2018 17:23

I’m taking medication and I think it’s keeping the worst at bay but still getting some nausea and vomiting breaking through. I’m not sure how bad it might be without meds and I don’t really want to find out! 😛

Leliana · 05/06/2018 18:42

I feel like I've been hit by a bus - I'm exhausted, and I have awful backache! I've been at work since before 8am, and I'll be here another hour or two yet Confused Can't wait to get home!

Frenchiemamax · 05/06/2018 18:47

Knackered here too today. Just had to stop mid-dinner to bring it all back up again. Might just go to bed and call it a day Grin hope you lovelies are doing better than me today!

Leliana · 05/06/2018 19:45

@Frenchiemamax Noooo! Your poor dinner! What were you eating? I ate crisps for lunch Blush

Ash1992 · 05/06/2018 19:47

@emdoc what are you taking ? My doctor gave me cyclizine hydrochloride but said I may feel dizzy

Frenchiemamax · 05/06/2018 20:28

Leliana was only a jacket potato but I really bloody fancied it 😂 needs must, I hope they were good crisps!

Upsydasiy · 05/06/2018 22:44

So I’ve been readmitted 😩

Ozzyseb · 05/06/2018 22:50

Hello!
So it seems to be all over for me 😔 Which I knew deep down would be the case.
I hope everything works out for all of you and you will all have your beautiful babies come January. I wish you all a lovely pregnancy and I will keep popping back every now and then just so I can see how you're all getting on ☺
Ozzy xx

emdoc · 06/06/2018 05:16

@Ozzyseb I'm so very sorry to hear that Sad. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

@Ash1992 I'm taking something called Diclectin (I'm Canadian, not sure if they have that in the UK).

Followed up with the hospital where I'm supposed to get my NT scan today as I hadn't heard anything and seems they had lost the requisition Hmm. Apparently it happens all the time! Not ideal. Now booked for 27/6 when I'll be 13 weeks. Wish it was a bit sooner! I'd like to tell people once we have all our results but I suppose we'll just have to wait.

Frenchiemamax · 06/06/2018 07:38

Ozzy ❤️❤️

Ash1992 · 06/06/2018 07:59

@emdoc I've never heard of that one. I should get my scan within a week through the post but the midwife said you can be waiting for weeks for the scan :/ hate waiting around

Jebbs · 06/06/2018 09:44

@Ozzyseb I'm so sorry x

raffat89 · 06/06/2018 10:46

So sorry to hear your news @Ozzyseb Flowers

purplesmiler · 06/06/2018 12:20
