I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

So sorry to hear that Ozzy ♥️

I've booked a scan for Saturday. With my sickness people are getting suspicious and we're having to tell more people so would be happier with that if I knew all was ok so far

jennac · 06/06/2018 14:00

Still have 2 weeks and 2 days til my scan which seems mental! Have nearly known for 6 weeks now! This is proving to be an amazing lesson in strength and positivity Grin

Ash1992 · 06/06/2018 18:57

Anyone else had the worst sickness at 8 weeks ??

Frenchiemamax · 06/06/2018 19:08

Yes mine seems to have peaked in the last few days, I’m 8 weeks today.

jennac · 06/06/2018 19:28

I just pulled on my trusty black high waisted jeans to pop out for the evening and THEY WON’T DO UP! Oh gosh, I’m only 9+5, haha

Ash1992 · 06/06/2018 19:35

@frenchiemamax are you on any medication

Frenchiemamax · 06/06/2018 19:39

Jenna same problem here too! Can’t wait until I can shop maternity 😂

Ash no not had any meds for it. It’s not too bad, couple of times a day at moment but if it gets any worse I might ask for some anti sickness. Hopefully it goes on its own soon anyway!

Ash1992 · 06/06/2018 20:18

@frenchiemamax I've got meds but they make me like a zombie completely knocked out plus I still feel sick I just had nausea all day and dry retching I think I would feel better if I didn't take them

Upsydasiy · 06/06/2018 21:12

After another 24 hour admission with IV fluids I’m home. In bed with love island and a hot water bottle.
Hope everyone is okay

LG93 · 06/06/2018 23:12

Glad you're home and feeling a bit better upsydaisy.

I've managed to avoid admission so far as every time it seems like the only option I seem to improve- very strange but not complaining!

How do you know when you are dehydrated

Frenchiemamax · 07/06/2018 07:15

Glad you’re home Upsy!

Frenchiemamax · 07/06/2018 08:57

Woke up feeling awful. Depressed, spotty, fat, constantly heaving, just cried over the phone to my husband on the way to work! This little one better be really good! 😂

Leliana · 07/06/2018 10:50

I know the feeling @frenchiemamax - I'm still fitting in my old clothes, but only just!

stegosauruslady · 07/06/2018 10:56

Ugh, I'm with you on feeling fat and generally a bit gross! I'm having to graze to keep the sickness away and up until this week I have done so much less exercise than usual, I need to kick myself into gear, I hate not exercising.

That said, as the tiredness has eased off for me I'm getting back to it. I can cope with feeling sick while running, I couldn't cope with feeling like I needed to stop for a nap!

I have my scan date! 4th July, DP is off work which is convenient. We are ripping out our kitchen that week, which will be interesting.

Frenchiemamax · 07/06/2018 10:59

Sorry to hear you’re feeling it too ladies, I honestly underestimated these early stages so much, I can’t believe the toll it’s taken on my body. Exciting news that you have a scan date stego! X

TheNewDelia · 07/06/2018 11:00

So sorry to hear from Ozzyseb, and others with bad news :( we are all so vulnerable at the moment and it could be any one of us. Huge hugs all round xxxxxxx

WeeBump89 · 07/06/2018 12:46

Afternoon girlies. I'm going for a scan tomorrow now up at local EPU. Cramping got awful yesterday so just want to get checked out. They were so lovely on the phone. Fingers crossed its just the baby having an almighty stretch. I've been having jokes with my OH at night to have a word with his child. Mummy is trying to sleep lol

LG93 · 07/06/2018 12:51

Fingers crossed your scan is ok weebump.

Midwife just called to make my booking in appointment which is quite exciting! Seeing them on Wednesday so not long to wait either which is good.

Ash1992 · 07/06/2018 14:01

Hi all got my scan appointment on the 29th it just came through the post. Feeling excited but nervous too.

Frenchiemamax · 07/06/2018 14:20

Weebump hope it all goes well! I also had some terrible pains last week, went for a scan and turned out to be loads of gas 😂

Lg Ash exciting about your appointments!!

Maxbenji · 07/06/2018 14:32

Had my booking in appt today, they have changed the due date to 25th Dec! But when I said it was about 34 days between periods they said yes will probably be later and will be confirmed on scan. However they think I'm 11 weeks so have said the scan should be in the next 2 weeks! Excited!!!
Also self referred to consultant led care as I had issues last time, feel much happier now.
Weight, bloods, blood pressure done and lots of consent papers signed for tests!
All my sickness and major hunger seems to have gone and have lots more energy, hope you all feel the same soon!

loopdeelou · 07/06/2018 14:45

@Maxbenji how exciting! Potentially a Christmas baby. Glad yours went well.

I also had my booking appointment today and am pretty furious. Turned up and I've been booked in to see a midwife from a completely different hospital which is not the one the referral was sent to from my doctor so she couldn't do the appointment. 😔Turns out the doctor had it wrong and can't refer to that hospital and I have to refer myself. So cross because I've waited 5 weeks for this appointment and missed the morning from work. I wish they'd told me weeks ago. I'm now nearly 10 weeks and have to wait for them to contact me to see a different midwife so who knows how long it'll be until I actually have my booking in appointment! Hope nobody else is having NHS admin issues!!

Oh thats awful loopdeelou, i have a choice here but have to be referred by the doctor, but it's the same choice as last time and they had all my notes so it was pretty easy.
My dd was 11 days late so I think it will definitely be into January but you never know!
