This is my 2nd dc. We weren’t trying so unexpected but I’ve had a feeling something was going on for the last week. Tested this morning and got a BFP.

So it’s DC2 (already have a 4 year old DS)
Due date 5/11/18 I think

My feb 2014 group is fab and I’ve made some lovely friends on there so hoping to do the same this time all being well!

Oh, and best of luck with the job interview, @Cupcakesandlove! Although it’s probably the last thing you need to think about right now.

SakuraSunrise · 01/03/2018 14:16

@Cupcakesandlove I just read your other thread, keeping everything crossed for you that your lines keep getting darker. When I had spotting with DS it was so stressful being in limbo waiting for scans.

@sarahhh1984 you're right it is good to have support from close family if anything like that happens, so much to think about Smile

whiningandwining · 01/03/2018 14:31

@Cupcakesandlove sounds like a really tough time. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Anyone else not really having many symptoms? I've had some stomach cramps, and tiredness, but not much other than that. Making me worry a little, as I was quite sick in my last pregnancy. Keep worrying about it.

MeredithShepherd · 01/03/2018 14:45

No whining I have no symptoms other than tiredness and sore boobs. Like I knocked one earlier and could have burst into tears it hurt that much. Cramping seems to have eased off. I wasn’t sick at all with DS so hoping I’m the same this time!

@sarahhh1984 and @Cupcakesandlove fingers crossed everything goes well for you both.
I've finally got round to sorting out my booking in appointment it's on 21st March.
I'm unsure what to do with regards to telling people yet, the only person who knows is DH, last time I told a close friend and my sister at 7 weeks and our parents at 10 weeks after a early scan. I really want to tell people has late as possible because once you tell them that's all they ever want to talk to you about. I'm going to York for the day on the 17th (st Patrick's day) for a girly day. It will be very obvious I'm not drinking and they know I'm TTC so will figure it out very quickly, but I don't want friends knowing before parents.

Pumpkin2018 · 01/03/2018 14:57

Not many symptoms here too, I had sore boobs and nausea before testing but that's eased off and all I've had since is a bit of cramping.

hellotoyellow · 01/03/2018 15:50

Can I join? After trying for a year exactly, finally have a BFP at 3+1 (10dpo) - actually had two yesterday on FRERs and one today on an internet cheap test. I tested super early because I had an event at which there were free drinks and I thought I'd better know. EDD would be around Nov 12th. Now on a mission to use up all my tests Grin.

Anyway it seems absurdly early... this would be baby number one. I told one friend immediately as I've known immediately for her babies, but I guess I'll try and hold off telling anyone else for a while. DH is all excited :)

Not sure where I'd book - I'm in London so loads of choice. Amazed that some of you have appointments already! :)

Cupcakesandlove · 01/03/2018 16:26

HI @sarahhhh won’t they see you at epu? Or take your bloods?
I didn’t end up going to the interview I’ve rescheduled as the trains are delayed and my car is snowed in, I don’t need the bad luck of going out in this weather. I’m staying low.
I definitely would love to share my preganavies with people as it is such an isolating time and very very worrying esp in the early days. We had a bad pregnancy with my daughter as in were told a few things that worries me, none of them ended up effecting her and she ended up with hip dysphasia a tonge tie and a herni none of which could ever be seen in a scan. But anyway she’s perfectly fine.
I don’t have any symptoms as such my boobs don’t hurt, but I feel quite nauseous and had bad sickness from 5 weeks till birth a with my first. However right now I would welcome sickness as I would see it as a good sign.

Cupcakesandlove · 01/03/2018 16:29

Also re the booking I’m not doing it yet, just for personal preference. But then I’m worried I will miss my appointments I might leave it till after the weekend... when have you all booked and where?
@hellotoyellow I had my daughter at chelsea and west but it was an accident I was booked a two queen charlottes but they told me to call back and it was all too late. I’ve heard from friends who have just had babies at Queen charlottes that they are quite over booked at the min so if you want to go there I suggest doing it ASAP x

Cupcakesandlove · 01/03/2018 16:30

MY main reason for not wanting to book in is because of my experience yesterday I don’t want them thinking I’ve made this whole thing up after them telling me I’m not pregnant and if I am I won’t be for long

Aussi · 01/03/2018 17:34

Hey everyone - thrilled to be joining !
Did a test about 5 days early (couldn’t help myself ) on Monday and a got a postive. Very happy!

Now trying to decide which hospital to book in at as I’m in the middle of two. Anyone live in London and have any experience of kings or lewisham ?

Nightmanagerfan · 01/03/2018 18:03

Congrats all! @aussi I’ve self
Referred to Kings based on friends’ experiences but am not sure based on reading some reviews on their website. I’d be interested to hear any other views on Kings too.

Congratulations to the new joiners!

whiningandwining · 01/03/2018 18:52

Reassuring to hear others feeling similar. Thank you.

It's so hard when you want to keep it quiet. I think I must drink far too much red wine usually as two close friends asked me during a girls night away, so they now know before my mum which isn't ideal! Agree about it being all people want to talk about!

toasterstrudle · 01/03/2018 18:56

I ended up telling friends early last time as it was just too hard with all the occasions with drinking (I was 8-12 weeks over Christmas period!). I also figured I'd want support in the event all was not well, so didn't mind that they knew. I was lucky though and all well, DS arrived last July.

Might get away with it this time as less occasions and rarely get the chance to have drinks out these days anyway!

toasterstrudle · 01/03/2018 18:59

@Cupcakesandlove I feel for you, I didn't enjoy my last pregnancy and felt quite worried about movements and extra monitoring due to a lump on DS's cord (which turned out to be nothing). Nice to have a group for support. Here's to a calmer ride this time round Thanks

On the plus side - I found a newborn a breeze compared to being pregnant!

NovDoe · 01/03/2018 19:28

I'm finding not telling people really difficult. I don't really want to tell anyone yet, it feels too early, not real yet, and still uncertain. But I hate lying to people as well and am not very good at it/ at making stuff up!

dontquit · 01/03/2018 19:28

Hi all and welcome to the newbies. Great that everything is going well so far for all of us. Just spent snow day sorting through my 2 dds clothes. They grow out of things so fast and seem to have only just put 4yr olds away when I'm pulling them out again for 2yr old. Have been so lax the last few mths and stuff was everywhere. Wouldn't really mind having another dd but would love a boy just so I could get rid of all these boxes of girls clothes and everything bar newborn stuff will be new. This will be the last so love that I'll be able to get rid of all the clothes once finished with them.
Lower back is killing me now so paying for my effort!

Nightmanagerfan · 01/03/2018 19:35

I won’t be telling anyone until after the 12 week scan, but as others have said I’m sure there will be eyebrows raised when I say no to a glass of wine!

Symptoms include mild cramping (comes and goes), swollen boobs that seem to be growing huge already, and what I have now learnt is called “javelin vagina” (thanks Google) - sharp pains down below. Anyone had similar?

Really pleased to have this thread to support each other. @cupcakes I’ll be thinking of you and hope you get good news soon.

Cupcakesandlove · 01/03/2018 19:44

I decided to book a blood test
For tomorrow. Will keep you updated

january29 · 01/03/2018 20:05

Congratulations to all the newbies.

@cupcake I haven’t seen your other thread but good luck for the blood test. My lines have been pretty faint so far but a lines a line as they say. Fingers crossed for you.

Have booked a gp appointment for a couple of weeks which will then refer me in for booking in and scan.

january29 · 01/03/2018 20:12

@cupcake I just looked at your other thread and I really think your pregnant, your lines are getting darker and a little bit of spotting can be normal. Hope you keeping as relaxed as you can.

Cupcakesandlove · 01/03/2018 20:15

@january
My lines have def got darker since Tuesday, but the lady at the epu said she suspected that I am/will have a chemical pregnancy. As she took a test 5 min after I had done one as I had an internal scan and the pgt was negitive and the scan showed nothing just thick lining. The scanner said that it may be too early the midwife did touch on that as well but said no after I tested negative.
Im fully aware that a loss can happen at any time and I don’t want to cause anxiety or upset to anyone on here for no reason as you all are having a blissful time. I’ve added my tests but I don’t think I’ll bring my negativity to the board again.
However i will let you know if my hgc levels increase

Anyone else with a November 2018 baby yet?
MeredithShepherd · 01/03/2018 20:25

Have you tried a clear blue digital cupcakes? My first basic boots test was negative. Then I did another one 2 days later and it was a very faint positive. So I did a clear blue digital two days later and it said pregnant 1-2.

Aw @Cupcakesandlove I'm sorry. Will keep everything crossed for you just in case. I had a chemical last time and got pregnant the next month. It was a horrible time though Thanks

january29 · 01/03/2018 20:31

@cupcake it’s such a worrying time. I think you got terrible support from the epu. There’s still a lot of hope so I’m staying positive for you. Keep us informed, you testing again in the morning, I am as my line isn’t yet as dark as the control. Keep strong
