This is my 2nd dc. We weren’t trying so unexpected but I’ve had a feeling something was going on for the last week. Tested this morning and got a BFP.

So it’s DC2 (already have a 4 year old DS)
Due date 5/11/18 I think

My feb 2014 group is fab and I’ve made some lovely friends on there so hoping to do the same this time all being well!

Congratulations everyone! I’m getting an EDD of around 9th Nov.

P.s. Anyone else keep burping...? It’s a good job I’m WFH due to the snow as I’m not sure how I’d hide this at work...

Aussi · 02/03/2018 15:00

@cupcakes that’s great news!

Cupcakesandlove · 02/03/2018 15:08

@aussi. YES to the burping I’m sure I didn’t have this first time around.

SakuraSunrise · 02/03/2018 15:17

@Cupcakesandlove that sounds really promising, keeping everything crossed for you.

SakuraSunrise · 02/03/2018 15:38

The main symptom I've got is feeling really bloated to the point where I'm walking round the house with the button on my jeans undone Blush I'm also absolutely shattered and lacking in motivation, but don't think that's helped by the weather and toddler wrangling!

toasterstrudle · 02/03/2018 15:39

Fantastic news @Cupcakesandlove !

MochiBean · 02/03/2018 15:43

Hello! Me (if I worked my dates out right, I have my drs appointment on Wednesday to confirm).

I am new to the forums and this is my first. I'm pretty darn terrified so I'm glad to see some more mums in the same timeline as me with a much more experienced (and probably less panicky) head than me :)

Emelene · 02/03/2018 15:44

That's good new @Cupcakesandlove! I really hope it keeps heading in the right direction for you x

wejammin · 02/03/2018 15:59

Cupcakes great news! Crossing everything for a sticky bean for you.

Other 3rd-time-around-ers, have you broken out the maternity pants yet? My belly is ridiculous. My muscles must be shot to pieces.

Nightmanagerfan · 02/03/2018 17:44

Congratulations everyone. @billie yes I am ravenous too - I had two breakfasts today. It's as if my stomach feels completely empty.
Those of you for whom it's not your first pregnancy, when did your nausea start? My mum had terrible nausea/sickness but my sister was fine (with twin pregnancy) so hoping for an easy ride!

And @cupcakes thanks for the update - that sounds promising. I hope you can enjoy your weekend.

Nightmanagerfan · 02/03/2018 17:44

Oh and another question - when is normal to get new bras? I feel I've gone up a cup size already and was wondering about buying a soft bra to sleep in too.

january29 · 02/03/2018 17:45

Yay @cupcakes I knew you were still pregnant, your tests are much stronger so everything is looking really good!

@emelene my DH is excited but slightly
scared were doing it again Grin

@ashee due 5th November my dd was 5 days early so might even be October.

Cupcakesandlove · 02/03/2018 18:04

THANK YOU everyone for the support and well wishes. I’m not getting too excited yet.
I don’t know why but I’m so cautious this time around with my first the thoughts I’m having never once entered my mind.
About the sickness with my daughter I remember exactly because it was awful morning noon and night 5 weeks 3 days, and I’m nausious this time but no sickness however right now I think it’s a good thing considering! My boobs ain’t that sore just tender which is worrying x x

dontquit · 02/03/2018 18:04

@wejammin yes I'm so bloated already. Definitely no muscle left! Feel like I look so obviously pregnant and just over 5weeks! No.3 for me too. Some maternity jeans arrived in post yesterday but they are a size bigger than my normal size as tend to put on weight in pregnancy. We have communal changing at work so cannot go into mat jeans just yet as everyone will see. Not going to be able to hide it for long. Bulging from my bra all of a sudden today too. Did need new bras by 6 weeks on previous pregnancies. Loads of people I worked with knew I was pregnant on my first pregnancy by 9/10 weeks as my boobs got huge! Already fairly big.

There's a young girls at work pregnant now too and she's a little tiny thing. I know she'll have this cute little bump and I'll be huge beside her!

MiniMinions · 02/03/2018 18:25

Hi everyone! Haven't read back through all the messages yet but will catch up! Glad to hear things are ok at the moment @Cupcakesandlove

Had a feint line on IC the other day but due to the snow was only able to get a digi one today and yep BFP! This will be DC2. Accordingly to NHS due date calculator EDD is 7th Nov.

Will phone doctors about booking appointment on Monday. I saw people asking about when telling others. We are going to tell parents and siblings Mothers Day. Last time we told close friends after 12wk scan although like a few others I've got a couple of evening events where they might get suss as not drinking...then told others after 20wk scan.

So far I've had some cramping so was pleased to see BFP as was wondering if was AF coming instead. Also had some headaches and was bit dizzy the other day at work.

Looking forward to this adventure - just need to get house stuff sorted it's a tip!!

MochiBean · 02/03/2018 18:37

@Cupcakesandlove - I keep reading that every pregnancy is different, so I don't think it would be a worry that yours is different this time.

I also only have tender boobs, they're actually less sure than if they were just PMS (which I'm grateful for tbh)

Cupcakesandlove · 02/03/2018 18:42

@miniminions and @dontquit I’m hoping as I’m bigger than I was last time I am able to get away with it. And I live in leggings and baggy trousers anyway..... we’re goinng away with friends in June and she is pregnant due July I don’t want her knowing she was quite insensitive when she knew we were ttc for over a year and then she got pregnant “without trying” I’m not resentful but I had a convo about it the day before she told me and I went pretty deep.
I sound like such a moaner - I promise I’m not!!!

Cupcakesandlove · 02/03/2018 18:42

@mochibean same as me mine are more tender and sore before af than they are now! X

MochiBean · 02/03/2018 18:48

@Cupcakesandlove I don't think it would be a bad sign, I guess our bodies just do crazy things. I genuinely thought this was the one month I WOULDN'T get a positive test, and then... BAM. There was no questioning that pink line.

Good luck x

Cupcakesandlove · 02/03/2018 18:52

@mochibean and last month was the one we gave up ttc.... Hmm strange things!!

MrsMermaid · 02/03/2018 19:19

Congratulations to all the new joiners!

cupcakes I'm glad things are going well, the lines look good!

I'm pleased to report my queasyness was definitely the end of the sickness bug Smile but now it's gone and I've had 24 hrs of killer lower back pain... I didn't have this before! Have also noticed my muscles spasming and cramping in my hands a lot the last few days, like when writing or doing a tough zip - google tells me it's related! I'm a bit anxious about not having sore boobs, I did last time... is anyone else still breastfeeding an older child? I wondered if it's that or if it's just still too early for me to tell.

I don't think I really believe I'm pregnant yet, last time it was all I could think about but this time, even though we were ttc, I think I'll have to grow into it. The only person I've told other than DH is my boss, she asked me directly and I didn't want to lie. Will tell our parents in a couple of weeks and my Best Mum friend who is a few weeks further along, when I see her!

MeredithShepherd · 02/03/2018 19:41

Woohoo cupcakes so so glad for you!!!!

I’ve been to the doctors today and I’ve got tonsillitis. Feeling really guilty as not only do I now have antibiotics but I’ve been on paracetamol every 4 hours on the dot since 5pm yesterday! This baby is going to be rattling... I hope it will be ok.

january29 · 02/03/2018 20:11

@mrsmermaid I’m breastfeeding dd and so have no boob symptoms at all. I did last time but I’m thinking the breastfeeding and boobs already doing the work means less aching this time?!

bangwhistle · 02/03/2018 20:53

@Cupcakesandlove ah, those tests are looking really promising. I'll have everything crossed for you.

5+2ish today and man, I am beat. Hauling two Whitney toddlers tobogganing whilst feeling rough was horrible. What was I thinking? Am so knackered and queasy.

Good in a way, I guess, but you forget how draining it all is.

Burping and bloating here too. Pregnancy is so sexy. Seeing as we're snowed in, I'm operating on a no trousers policy for the foreseeable future.

FireworksBaby · 02/03/2018 21:27

I'm not burping that much, but think it's mainly because I'm too busy farting! Even more glamorous.

@weejammin I'm 5 weeks with number 3, but not much of a bump yet. I have ended up enormous with both previous DC, so suspect this will be a temporary state of affairs...
