Hollymchollyface · 30/01/2018 12:32

Great news Mona!

Sals27 · 30/01/2018 12:48

Yay Mona!! You must be so relieved. So now that you've seen the heartbeat at 8w you're in the 98% camp! Congratulations! You've made me all excited for Saturday Grin

intelligentPutty · 30/01/2018 12:57

Congratulations Mona that's fantastic news.

Flybynight1 · 30/01/2018 13:00

Ahh great news Mona!

Nixen · 30/01/2018 13:15

Sals and Fly I’ve got a scan on Saturday too! I’ll be 10 weeks

LostMyBaubles · 30/01/2018 13:20

Super happy for you mona!

Those that are struggling with sickness speak to your mw about some cyclzine and once it's built up in your system it's soooo much better

RedRobin7 · 30/01/2018 13:24

I posted a few days ago for the first time. Could you add me to the list please?

RedRobin7 - 29 - DC1 - EDD 29.09

I saw the dr last week and the receptionist took my details for the referral. She said, "Don't ask about the flu jab, we aren't offering it at the moment." Is this something we should all be offered? I noticed a few of you have mentioned you've had it so now I'm unsure what to do.

mummaavocado · 30/01/2018 13:43

@RedRobin7 I booked in at boots for flu jab, mentioned that I'm pregnant and they gave me an extra form to fill in & it was free. This was at 7 weeks, before booking with a midwife.

Sals27 · 30/01/2018 13:58

Wow, busy day for scans Saturday.

Nixen 10 weeks, you'll see an actual baby looking scan by then I imagine. I'll be 8w and I'm concerned there won't be anything to see. Although at this stage I just want confirmation its there and growing.

How far along will you be for your scan flybynight?

MonaTheMoaner · 30/01/2018 14:02

Here she is! I’m just going to refer to her as she until I’m proven wrong. Gut instinct, two previous DD’s, no boys in 27 years and a heartbeat at 171 says girl so it’ll do! Only 8 weeks to find out for sure Grin

maxiflump1 · 30/01/2018 14:23

Great news @MonaTheMoaner

Nixen · 30/01/2018 14:46

Here was my 8w scan - although measuring 3 days behind where I thought I was. We did the heartbeat but they wouldn’t tell us the bmp, boo!

Hoping the 10 week scan will be even better as you say Sals! 😃
Just got my fingers crossed everything will be okay!

MonaTheMoaner · 30/01/2018 14:52

Aww Nixen! I love scans.

UppityStitch · 30/01/2018 14:53

Congrats on the scan @MonaTheMoaner.

I'm in agony today. The trapped nerve in my hip has gone but I've got lots of pain in my lower back. I hope this isn't pregnancy related as it doesn't bode well Confused

MonaTheMoaner · 30/01/2018 14:54

Get the flu jab at a pharmacy Red! Our GP isnt doing them either at the moment. I know Superdrug and Boots do them but run out of stock fast.

MonaTheMoaner · 30/01/2018 14:55

Ooh UppityStitch, any chance you have a tilted uterus? I’ve got severe back pain and GP said it’s related and normal.

RedRobin7 · 30/01/2018 15:01

@mummaavocado and @MonaTheMoaner - Thanks, I will check out my local Boots and Sainsbury's to see if this is an option.

Exciting to see lovely scan pics Grin

guiltynetter · 30/01/2018 15:14

can i join? i’m 7 weeks today, i think, no idea really as my last period was at the beginning of november & i have very long cycles! got a booking in appointment on thursday. it seems a little early!

can i ask why so many are having early scans? i know sometimes it’s medical reasons (for example my sister had IVF and she had lots of scans before 12 weeks) are people paying privately for them?

guiltynetter · 30/01/2018 15:15

ooo and symptoms so far...very hormonal, cry at adverts on tv! really sore boobs, and for some reason for the last few days i’ve been hungry all the time! i feel sick, unless i’m eating...

MonaTheMoaner · 30/01/2018 15:20

Hi gullynetter congratulations!

Most of our early scans have been for medical reasons - pain, bleeding to rule out ectopics. Some of us have had previous losses too. I have had two NHS scans and one private. The private was due to me no longer feeling symptoms but all is well.

UppityStitch · 30/01/2018 15:36

Hello and welcome @guiltynetter

Yes I do @MonaTheMoaner. I had no idea they were related as I had none of this with DS.

guiltynetter · 30/01/2018 15:38

ah i see thanks Mona. i have had 2 previous early miscarriages so i’m on pin’s with this one, but i don’t think i’m going i have an early scan. it’s so hard to wait though isn’t it!

Namechangedtoscream · 30/01/2018 15:41

Such lovely scans! And welcome @guiltynetter

I'm due my 3rd scan on Monday when I'll be 9+1 if this one is fine then chances are we are home free to the end god willing.
