Oh @Secondsop I'm so sorry. Are they 100% sure or do you need to go back?

maxiflump1 · 29/01/2018 11:15

So sorry to hear this @Secondsop. Go easy on yourself ThanksThanks

intelligentPutty · 29/01/2018 11:26

@Secondsop so sorry. Thanks

PumpkinPatch000 · 29/01/2018 11:27

So sorry to hear that @SecondSop sending you love

blondie1001 · 29/01/2018 11:34

Oh @SecondSop I'm so sorry - sending lots of love Flowers

muffyduffster · 29/01/2018 11:44

So sorry @Secondsop, that's horrible news x

Secondsop · 29/01/2018 11:46

Thanks for the kind words everyone. @kirinm I think they’re 100% sure - they didn’t say anything about coming back. I’ve called my husband and asked him to cut short his work trip so he’ll be hopefully back in a few days.

kirinm · 29/01/2018 11:52

@Secondsop are they not going to offer any further support? Do you have anyone that can offer support until DP gets back?

Secondsop · 29/01/2018 11:58

@kirinm they’ve left me to make the decision about how I want to manage it - they explained the options but I couldn’t make a decision then and there so I will have to go back to them if I want the medical option. I do have my mum but she’s not always much of a comfort in times of trouble. I have my sister (my poor sister who is pregnant too and who must feel dreadful for me) and a couple of other friends I told. What I really need is my husband back to help support me through the practicalities, drive me places etc.

Secondsop · 29/01/2018 12:07

I must just keep reminding myself that I am incredibly fortunate to have the lovely boys that I have.

Anyway - thank you for the support everyone. I hope everyone else’s pregnancies go swimmingly.

CuppaSarah · 29/01/2018 12:12

Oh SecondSop I'm so so sad to hear this. I'm so sorry your dh is away too. I hope he can get back quickly and help you get through all the practicalities. I'm near Reading on the off chance you're near me, I'm happy to help you till your dh is back.

Fia256 · 29/01/2018 12:29

I found the baby's heartbeat on my home Doppler this morning! I've always been able to find all my babies very early on all using the same Doppler (I'm not very big so there's not a lot of room to hide lol) had filled my bladder up and then decided I'd see if I'd be as lucky so early again this time! After ages of only picking my own heartbeat up (there's a very obvious difference to anyone who's dubious), just as I was about to give up for another week of looking, suddenly that lovely fast steam train type beating popped up! Twice as fast as my own and only managed to hear it for around 10 seconds before it disappeared and then could only hear my own again (much slower and deeper etc). I recorded it on my phone and played it to the dr I work with this morning, who also is trained in midwifery and she confirmed that I was right! Won't be relying on the Doppler though, as last time i suddenly couldn't find the heartbeat (baby had indeed stopped growing) but it caused so much heartache. Will probably listen in again the day before my next scan so I know what to half expect either way!

MonaTheMoaner · 29/01/2018 13:14

I’m so sorry SecondsOp

Fia256 · 29/01/2018 14:01

Pixiedust25 · 29/01/2018 15:39

So sorry second!
Just marking my place.
Had some left sided pain so called EPU and have a scan at 8am tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed all is okay.

LostMyBaubles · 29/01/2018 15:55

Pixie glad they can scan you so soon. Hope it goes well.

My sickness is better than before. Still there but not as bad.

Made salt and pepper chicken today for the first time as I fancied Chinese lol

Namechangedtoscream · 29/01/2018 16:06

So sorry to hear of your news second

I've had a rotten day today I really shouldn't be trying to work at the moment but being in a new job i can't go sick. WFH Thursday then off on Friday

Nixen · 29/01/2018 17:34

So sorry to hear your news second - hope DH can be home soon Flowers

Cuppa I am in Reading! waves

CuppaSarah · 29/01/2018 17:59

Nixen I'm Wokingham! We're so close! If you ever want a toddler to practice with let me know Grin

Namechanged sorry you're struggling, if it's possible could you maybe take a half day. You're really suffering and you don't want to end up hospitalised, hg is serious.

Fia that is amazing! I hope you hear it again before your next scan. Pixie good luck tomorrow. I'm glad they're seeing you so swiftly.

Zoey36 · 29/01/2018 18:04

I told my a boss I'm work today as I need Thursday morning off for booking appointment. She was so lovely and gave me a big hug but I honestly felt like I was lying to her! Like I've just made it all up and I'm seeing how long I can keep up the lie to everyone. I know that's really strange but that's how it felt!

Nixen · 29/01/2018 18:49

Haha I might take you up on that Cuppa! Nice to know there is someone local on here 😁

littlepooch · 29/01/2018 19:00

Hello all. Placemarking as I haven't posted in a while because nausea and sickness is absolutely awful. I am barely functioning on a day to day basis. Had my booking in today at 7+3 and found out I will be consultant led due to this being my third c section and so close to my second one. We've booked an early scan at FMC on Friday when I will be 8 weeks so really hoping we see a nice conclusive heartbeat. I'm so nervous already!

UppityStitch · 29/01/2018 19:17

I'm so sorry @Secondsop

My trapped nerve is still messing with me. It's in my left hip, my bum and across my back. Not getting a wink of sleep. Paracetamol is not helping it at all

intelligentPutty · 29/01/2018 22:18

@UppityStitch is it caused by pregnancy or just unlucky timing?
