@LostMyBaubles only extra strong mints!

Paranormalbouquet · 14/01/2018 18:11

Seconding the extra strong mints! Also in my case more rest seems to help.

blondie1001 · 14/01/2018 18:15

Ooh thanks for the tip - I’ll definitely be buying extra strong mints tomorrow. I’ve been awful today and the internet tells me it peaks in 2 weeks - the thought of it getting worse terrifies me!

iamloading · 14/01/2018 18:42

Yep sleep and chewing gum for me. Ginger never did anything as far as I was concerned.

Namechangedtoscream · 14/01/2018 18:44

Snacking - little and often rather than big meals
Drink between meals not at meals
Sucking on boiled sweets - the sharper the better
Eat a biscuit or cracker on waking
Ginger biscuits
Ginger tea

Can you tell what I've been having

HannahJH · 14/01/2018 18:50

I’ve had CBT a couple of times before and it’s worked really well but I think I’m struggling with the hormones and the impending doom of sickness so I need to do something new because I’m getting scared to leave the house :(

Hope you’re all ok and can keep it under control :) xx

LostMyBaubles · 14/01/2018 18:55

I've been looking for sharp tastes
To try and get rid of the feeling

I've been having mints not helping at all.

Keeping water in between meals as it is as I drink a lot lol

Will have to look into those extra strong mints I think.

Was going to get some ginger biscuits to see if they help.

I have to admit fizzy drinks (which I stopped drinking a long time ago) help a little at times.

kirinm · 14/01/2018 18:57

Ive found peppermint tea helpful(ish). And mainly trying not to allow myself to get too hungry.

Twinkletoes2018 · 14/01/2018 19:28

@HannahJH could you contact a hypnobirthing tutor mine is coming to do some hypnosis with me this Thursday. Xx

Twinkletoes2018 · 14/01/2018 19:29

I kept in touch with her after the last pregnancy- there are some amazing guided meditations

dingdongdigeridoo · 14/01/2018 20:27

I absolutely hate ginger, but I might have to cave and get some ginger tea. Bleugh.

coastalchick · 14/01/2018 20:34

Another one for hard boiled sweets here.

Ginger biscuits/ginger beer. Sparkling water.

coastalchick · 14/01/2018 20:34

Sister in law swears by salt and vinegar crisps - didn't work for me though

intelligentPutty · 14/01/2018 20:52

Hi everyone.
Just got BFP today. Still in shock and really keeping fingers crossed this is sticky.
Have one dd already but 2 pregnancies since ended In ectopic and MMC last May.

Metallic taste in mouth this afternoon. I think that's a symptom and very slightly tender boobs.
Know what u all mean about waiting to feel nauseous!

Nixen · 14/01/2018 21:06

Marking my place on the new thread, thanks for setting it up!
Just back from a weekend away, it was really lovely to have the break. Scan booked for next Sunday (21st) - hope it comes around quickly. I’ll be 8w2d and hope that seeing a heartbeat and a correctly sized bean will reassure my anxieties somewhat!

UppityStitch · 14/01/2018 22:17

Thanks for the tips re anxiety everyone. I'll definitely bring it up if I get a Doctors appointment tomorrow. I have a history of anxiety with periods of depression and one bit of PND after my DS thrown in.

Welcome aboard @intelligentPutty I remember you from the TTC boards

BadHominem · 14/01/2018 22:25

Confession: the only liquids I currently feel able to drink are Coke Zero and.... lager shandy. Made with Heineken alcohol free beer (one of my pregnancy symptoms is that alcohol becomes intensely bitter so I couldn't drink it even if I wanted to.) Cheers, baby, mummy didn't enjoy being healthy anyway.

This is all with with low-grade nausea; going to be interesting when the HG properly kicks in. Better take my ondansetron to work tomorrow just in case...

intelligentPutty · 14/01/2018 22:34

Hey @UppityStitch I remember you too.

Pollywhatshername · 15/01/2018 00:00

I've had no symptoms at all for almost 48hours now. If I'm not sick in the morning I'm gonna be really worried. Im about 5.5weeks...felt nauseous and wretching last week but it's all gone now. 😞 No scan till 2nd Feb. On previous pregnancies I was very sick by now. Plus I didn't get a positive till at least 20dpo on this one.... I have a bad feeling. 😰

MonaTheMoaner · 15/01/2018 00:53

Apart from sore boobs and lower back ache, mine are coming and going. DH gave me a lower back massage earlier which resulted in a little cramping that I got concerned about but it’s gone now. Seven days until my next scan and I’m worried sick.

CuppaSarah · 15/01/2018 07:24

My morning sickness is so mild compared to my previous pregnancies, I wish I could be relieved, but I'm just worried it means things aren't going well. I'm much better rested this time around so could be why.

I'm suffering with anxiety quite badly too. It's like there's this fuzzy cloud in my head I can't get rid of. I have a permanent headache too, no matter how much I drink. Think I'll mention it to the Midwife when they finally call me to book my booking in appointment

Welcome putty congratulations on your bfp!

maxiflump1 · 15/01/2018 07:26

Morning. Joining in as I had my bfp this morning. Have a nearly 3 year old DS and knew something was up as have felt so tired last few weeks. A bit achey in my back etc but no other real symptoms yet. Had no nausea last time so fingers crossed same this time. Thinking of you all with you nausea and anxieties: the first 3 months are a nightmare! Thanks

Bec86 · 15/01/2018 07:29

It looks like I will be joining the September baby club. Had a bfp this morning! First baby. I’m so excited but nervous all at the same time.

intelligentPutty · 15/01/2018 07:30

Welcome maxiflump
congratulations! Were you expecting it.
I had no nausea either. Fingers crossed for the same this time!

Bec86 · 15/01/2018 07:31
