New thread. Will attempt to post link in old thread!

Thank you becs86 and Putty. Congratulations to you too Becs. This one was planned but quite surprised as it was only second cycle of trying and took 18 months with DS. A bit shocked it's happened so quickly!

Secondsop · 15/01/2018 08:26

Morning all, congratulations newbies!

So having sworn off the clearblues obviously I couldn’t stop myself and did one this morning and I have a 3+, which has made me feel slightly better ahead of my early scan this morning. I am ready for the possibility that it’s too early to see anything. Just the reassurance that there isn’t anything in my tube would be something though.

HannahJH · 15/01/2018 08:41

Congrats to the new BFPs and good luck at the early scan.

I have rang the GP for a telephone appt about my anxiety so hopefully that will go well🤞🏼

kirinm · 15/01/2018 09:00

Good luck with the scan @Secondsop - what time is it?

I'm struggling with the commute. I feel so nauseous and want to be in bed.

Secondsop · 15/01/2018 09:05

Thank you - Scan is in about an hour.

I am extremely fortunate in that I have a mild commute (bus ride, nearly always with a seat) and I also have the option of getting a cab now and again. I can’t imagine doing the hardcore commute while pregnant.

Nausea not too bad again this morning. Gagging on the toothbrush but just a low level nausea in the background. However I’m working from home this morning and find it’s the commute that seems to really set it off, so may be a different story later. Getting lots of dizzy spells now, will need to start asking for seat on tube I think.

Congrats and welcome to all the newcomers! I think we need to update our list! Good luck to those having scans today.

CuppaSarah · 15/01/2018 09:30

Congratulations Maxiflump and becs!!

After posting about how worried I.was that I wasn't ill yet. I just got hit by a truck of nausea and was ill. Never been so happy to see my breakfast a second time. Grin right I am done woth anxiety I can't change anything, so back to enjoying being pregnant.

Good luck today secondsop I hope it goes really well!

Fia256 · 15/01/2018 09:31

Good luck today @Secondsop and brill about your 3+!

My nausea is definitely starting to kick in now. It's only low level but there was nothing before yesterday so big improvement! Spent the middle of the night last night weighing up staying in bed where I was cosy and warm but having to breathe back the feeling of needing to throw up, or getting out of bed to be sick. Managed to stay in bed but I don't think it'll be long till I have no choice but to be sick.

And a big congrats and welcome to all who have just got your bfp!

Sals27 · 15/01/2018 09:37

I don't think the stats made it over from the first thread so here they are. Quite a few more bfps since this was last updated Smile

I’m disappointed that the clearblues don’t show the results for long. Got a 3+ a couple of days ago and forgot to take a photo. Now the result is gone! Ah well, at least it’s reassurance.

Secondsop · 15/01/2018 10:09

@dingdongdigeridoo ive noticed that too and I’m sure the clear blues have got worse in that respect. When I was pregnant a few years ago the result seemed to last for ages longer.

I am 6wks+3 and have no scan date yet and haven't seen any medical professional. GP receptionist booked me in for a midwife appointment at 8wks+3 and that's it. Feel absolutely in limbo. 2 very close friends miscarried recently. As this is my first pregnancy I feel unable to get my hopes up until I know this pregnancy is viable - but that could be 7 weeks from now!! I don't know what to do or how to feel.

kirinm · 15/01/2018 10:54

@CheekyPearl I'm much the same. Midwife appointment isn't until 9 weeks - just under 3 weeks away. Scan isn't for another 6 weeks. I've had a scan already due to bleeding but I also had a scan in my last pregnancy and still lost the baby.

This is a horrible time and it is dragging for me. The only thing you can do is pay or a scan privately really.

intelligentPutty · 15/01/2018 11:01

Good luck today secondsop

blondie1001 · 15/01/2018 11:05

Good luck @secondsop and congratulations to all the new BFPs!

Secondsop · 15/01/2018 11:16

Thanks for the good luck posts everyone. I’m pleased to note that the pregnancy is in the right place and measuring ok for dates, and there is a tiny heartbeat. The twingey pains were from the corpus luteum cyst. I am to go back in 2 weeks because of previous miscarriage history.

Hope those of you in a similar boat get some comforting news soon. We are really in the dog days of January for our waiting aren’t we.

Shook2018 · 15/01/2018 11:16

Congratulations all newbies! I'm struggling with all day nausea at the moment and nothing's helping except carbs and lemonade!

I've also woken up this morning with the most horrendous cold symptoms, ergh, and can't take my usual night nurse!

Shook2018 · 15/01/2018 11:17

Oh that's fab news @secondsop

Paranormalbouquet · 15/01/2018 11:25

Congrats @secondsop. What’s your EDD?

blondie1001 · 15/01/2018 11:35

Great news @secondsop - so pleased for you.

@shook I have all day nausea too - carbs are the only thing saving me too. Hope your cold disappears quickly.

HannahJH · 15/01/2018 11:38

Secondsop that’s brilliant news, really happy for you.

CuppaSarah yay for sickness. I’m so torn between wanting to feel sick and being terrified of feeling sick!!

Anyhow I have a GP appt on Sat morn for my anxiety so yay! X

CuppaSarah · 15/01/2018 11:50

Yay secondsop! that's amazing to hear.

January and February are going to draaaaaag. Can we hit fast forward?

Secondsop · 15/01/2018 11:53

6 Sept EDD although I would expect that to change either because of my dates being off because of my long cycle, or because I end up being an AUGUST person on account of early induction.

OP posts:
kirinm · 15/01/2018 12:01

@Secondsop Is it true that if you're 40+ they induce early? How early is early? I'll be 40 in March.

Mrsssmith11 · 15/01/2018 12:01

I'm feeling a bit nauseous today. Not horrendous (yet). I was just saying to hub that I didn't feel like it was real because I don't feel pregnant. So kinda glad I'm feeling something but would be happy if this is as bad as it gets. Having felt rough until 20 weeks with DD.
