Hey girls!! Place marking xx

Paranormalbouquet · 13/01/2018 21:21

Mona I think that dippy eggs are fine now. I’ve gone totally off meat and runny eggs actually. I started retching when I saw someone having poached eggs at lunch yesterday, had to look away. I usually love them!

Namechangedtoscream · 13/01/2018 21:22

Has anyone copied over the EDD list?

Twinkletoes2018 · 13/01/2018 21:26

@moanerthemonster think they changed the guidelines to say dippy eggs are ok if lionstamped think I'll find it hard to tryst that though after eating hard eggs only 13m ago

Twinkletoes2018 · 13/01/2018 21:28

Not sure why even though I've posted on this thread it's not coming up in my 'I'm on' threads! Trying another post!

Zoey36 · 13/01/2018 21:35

So is anyone taking prenatal vitamins?ATM I'm just taking folic acid and vitamin D. Are prenatal vitamins useful or just a waste of money? I've been reading about vitamin B6 being good for nausea also, does anyone have any experience of this? I feel so so sick but haven't been sick.

MonaTheMoaner · 13/01/2018 21:37

Ooh I hope dippy eggs are fine! I’ll steer clear until I see a doctor or nurse and if they say yes I’m going in for poached egg on toast with loads of cracked black pepper.

HannahJH · 13/01/2018 21:43

Runny eggs are fine as long as lion stamped 👍🏼 Xx

kirinm · 13/01/2018 22:49

I've been eating runny eggs. Lion stamped are okay.

Flybynight1 · 13/01/2018 23:00

From the NHS website
Lion Code eggs are considered very low risk for salmonella, and safe for pregnant women to eat raw or partially cooked. So you can eat raw hen eggs or food containing lightly cooked hen eggs (such as soft boiled eggs, mousses, soufflés and fresh mayonnaise) provided that the eggs are produced under the Lion Code

Lion Code chickens are (and have been for some time!) vaccinated for Salmonella.

Mrsssmith yay date twins!! 😁

CuppaSarah · 13/01/2018 23:00

Hi jumping into the new thread. Symptoms mostly gone today which is a bit unnerving.

I have one of each, so not too worried about babies sex. I'd quite like another girl as sil has two boys, so it'd be nice for the pils to have another granddaughter. Plus I have nearly convinced dh to let me us the name Petra if we have a girl! I love that name and dd and ds have super conventional names.

Flybynight1 · 13/01/2018 23:02

Zoey I'm taking pregnacare (have been for the past 3 months too whilst ttc), I did with my last too so can't say if it really helps with nausea only that I've not got any nor had it seriously last time but it could just be me!!

rabbitsdontlayeggs · 13/01/2018 23:09

I'm taking Pregnacare Max. Often on offer at Boots 3 for 2 (good job because they aren't cheap).

It's what I took when I was pregnant with DD so using them again.

I don't mind what we have. We have a daughter already so a little boy would be nice but honestly as long as baby is healthy I don't care. I will probably find out this time though. We didn't with DD but I feel like I want to be more in control this time, and knowing will help with that I think.

UppityStitch · 13/01/2018 23:24

I took Pregnacare Plus last time with no side effects. Just ordered some off Amazon who are also doing 3 for 2 and cheaper than everywhere else.
Heads up - if you add it to your 'Baby Wish List' and purchase from there you qualify for a free Tommee Tippee Nappy Disposal unit

Twinkletoes2018 · 14/01/2018 00:43

I found pregnacare suites me last time I've also heard seven seas are good. I can't sleep tonight worrying about the baby- I've had 5 high blood sugar readings in 3 days so my gestational diabetes is back but the midwife wont bring my booking in forward I'm going to bypass her and phone my old consultant I'm thinking that I may need to be on medication pretty sharpish worrying about these high blood sugars affecting the baby I didn't get it until 24 weeks last time when they tested (although suspect I had it from 19)

Fia256 · 14/01/2018 02:22

I use pregnacare too. Last time it made me really sick, but this time after bothering to read the instructions, I'm now taking it with my main meal and I've not felt sick taking them once!

I am however, at half 2 in the morning, lying here feeling a bit sick! How ridiculous that I'm excited about this Grin

muffyduffster · 14/01/2018 06:58

I've been awake for an hour, forgot about the joys of pregnancy insomnia Hmm at least the cricket is on, but the baby is in bed with me so I have it with no sound Sad

CuppaSarah · 14/01/2018 07:47

I'm on pregnacare and take them after dinner. Does anyone find they lessen your morning sickness? I often have low level nausea, but that's it. Feeling a little worried I'm not as ill as previous pregnancies.

muffy I wasn't able to sleep either, finally dropped off at 1, only for the dc to wake a million times. They never wake up in the night!! Letting dh sleep in and I'll go back to bed once he's up. I have to say I think I prefer peppa pig to cricket! Grin

iamloading · 14/01/2018 08:09

Is anyone else just petrified? Last time I was anxious but generally relaxed but now I'm just convinced that I'm going to lose this baby like my daughter at 26 weeks and I just don't think I'd survive it again. I want a living baby more than anything but almost feel like I can't cope with putting myself through this rollercoaster again 😓

Mrsssmith11 · 14/01/2018 08:36

I'm sure that steak is fine to eat a bit less well done. The bacteria is all on the outside, so as long as you're at least searing the outside you're ok. It's when it is minced that you need to make sure it is brown all the way through. Will see if I can back that up....

twiggy123 · 14/01/2018 08:40

Iamloading losing your baby must have been so so hard. This will make a big impact on how you feel in this pregnancy. Hopefully as time goes on in the pregnancy it may lessen? X

I am taking Boots pregnancy plus and don't have much nausea at all. I'm also still drinking tea which I normally go off by now. So happy to not feel sick but it's causing worry that it's another mmc. May book early scan

Mrsssmith11 · 14/01/2018 08:45

@twiggy123 I went off tea last time too. Still drinking it so far, but only 5 weeks today. I was about 6 weeks when I went off it before.

Fia256 · 14/01/2018 08:46

@iamloading yes I know the feeling, not quite the same as what you must have gone through bless you, but I had a mmc picked up at 20w scan back in June, plus 3 early miscarriages, so I just feel convinced it's all going to go wrong at some point! I don't think I'll feel relaxed at all this pregnancy. Every time I catch myself getting slightly excited I feel like I need to bring myself back down to earth again!

iamloading · 14/01/2018 09:09

Oh @Fia256 I'm so sorry for what you've been through too. I'm trying to rationalise that worrying won't change anything - but failing miserably at the moment!!

bitzy12 · 14/01/2018 09:36

I'm taking pregnacare, have done for nearly 3 weeks now since I found out. I usually get very severe sickness - hypermesis. So far I've had bad nausea, especially the last couple of days but no sickness as of yet. I'm wondering if this is because of the pregnacare. I never took them in my last pregnancies. I've heard they can cause sickness to be worse but some people really do recommend them. They have vitamin D in them that is supposed be be helpful when it comes to sickness but who knows. I'm going to continue taking them anyway as they've shown me no real side effects x
