Congratulations to those having scans. Thanks for posting the photo, Caffeine, that's amazing. I have one week to go until my 12 week scan. Am keeping everything crossed.

Sorry for your loss, E2017. It's a funny old mix of relief and sadness when a person who has been suffering dies.

Milney25, I weighed myself this morning and have also gained five pounds. I read on the mumsnet week by week baby guide that five pounds in the first trimester is about right. So, either I stop gaining for a couple of weeks (Never gonna happen. I have a serious cake habit.) or I go a bit over. I gained about three stone with DD, so I'm expecting similar this time.

Feeling a little better, thanks to those of you who get where I'm coming from and my dd father saying I was like this last time has helped loads.
So today I'm the proud mum of a 21 yr old daughter!!!😂😂😂😂🙈 going out later to eat loads of food!

Last night though my dd father drove the usual 4 hours every two weeks to collect little one and she point blank refused to go. I tried all the encouragement whilst he sat there like a plank for over two hours looking sorry for himself. She's a feisty little bird and I feel it's positive she has a voice. I think there's a few issues going on with his family which could be an issue for her.

Hi All. Would love to join the thread. This is my 2nd baby. First had but turned 1 so looking forward to the crazy world of 2 under 2. Am currently stuck in bed with a sickness bug. I was worried I had suddenly been hit with the worst morning sickness but seems it is a bug. Due date so far is 23rd Aug but haven’t had a scan yet. Thanks

My scan went very well, I had to have an internal scan so was a bit scary but we saw a beautiful little blob with a heartbeat. I am 10wks today based on missed period but baby is only measuring 7+3. She said she wasn't worried and I must have just ovulated late which I have checked and is completely possible, luckily we dtd when we did! I've been a bit shocked as wasn't expecting it but as long as he/she is happy then I am happy. We saw it moving and the heartbeat was very strong so I'm feeling much more confident now. Due 19th Aug now!

Squirrel, that's very reassuring, I have no symptoms so have booked for an early scan next week too.

Has anyone else got absolutely horrific bloating? Had nothing like this with my first - I looked the same at 12 weeks as preconception. Struggling with actually getting clothes to fit! Only 9 weeks.

E2017 you have been so ill it’s not surprising. They say it’s common to lose weight first trimester if you’re very sick. I’m sure you’ll be putting on the pounds soon

That said 8kg so over a stone? May be worth mentioning to midwife just to be sure this is normal for you x

@TheGrumpySquirrel this was taken in the morning! Legitimately like this constantly and it is making me feel so sick and tired :(

MamofFrankie I have a big tum too, but have got a big ovarian cyst in there with 7w baby. I don't think mine is noticeable though because I was nowhere near as slim as you pre-conception!

@CaffeineDragon your scan picture looks great. I still haven't heard about my 12 week scan so I'll be phoning to chase it up on Monday morning. I was hoping the scan would have been next week but that seems unlikely now.

Sorry i haven’t been on in a day or two, lovely to see some and hear of scans that have gone perfectly. Had a few lower down pains so hoping it’s just the stretching of the uterus. It’s going sooo slow :( not even 8weeks and I just want my 12 week scan!
@E2017 I’m sorry for your loss. I have had a few close losses and have found looking at all my memories with them (ie pictures or videos or just simple texts) to be reassuring that I had the best time possible with them and that they are always looking down on you. Of course you may cry more but it’s part of the grieving process. Always here if you want to talk xx

Thank you all. In terms of weight 8kg is a fair bit for me. (I was 68kg prior to ivf implantation). I'm 5'5" so it's not like I was especially tiny or large before hand. The bloating has kept me looking like I need to lose a bit anyway though lol. X

I also found out today I have a cyst on one of my ovaries, what are the risks? Do they just go away? She said it was very normal and didn't look dangerous but I don't really know what that means and was too in awe of baby to ask

@Gem173 I think we must be due around the same time, my due date got changed today to the 29th when's yours?

Peterpanwendy when I saw the doctor she said 29th by ovulation dates etc but I’m sure it will get pushed back maybe even early September if I go to my 12 week scan and baby is smaller than the date I think I am

@Gem173 I can't wait for my scan either. Got my date though and it's on the 26th! Just can't wait for someone to say "everything looks fine" x

@amzq83 your so lucky! My booking in appointment is so late aswell, when I’m 9+6 il be having it, which means my scan will prob be pushed to 13 weeks. Just feels like a long time coming! Best of luck with yours!
