What I want to know is...when did you stop getting up in the middle of the night to pee! I’m 9 weeks on Sunday IA and haven’t missed a night since around 4 weeks!

milney25 · 11/01/2018 10:57

@Expecto I got up twice last night! Does it ever end?! I'm over 11 now!

Sugarskulllover · 11/01/2018 11:12

@Expecto would love to know this too! 10+1 today and I'm getting up either once or twice a night to pee!

Feeling so tired this morning too! Just counting down the days to my scan to see my little bean again! 2 weeks today.

spydie · 11/01/2018 11:28

Night time peeing only gets worse ladies!!! Your bladder sits under your uterus so the more it grows, the more your bladder gets squashed!! Grin

Stephiewoo · 11/01/2018 11:41

😭😭😭 Long post alert!
So pretty low at the moment for some reason in the morning.
I've never been in a relationship with my previous pregnancies and I'm finding it really hard to deal with.
Me and DP have the most amazing relationship, I took a risk with him at first for various reasons. He's amazing , loves my children, supportive, is such a good laugh, we talk about everything.
At the moment I can't bare to be touched, there's irrational trust issues, I feel trapped
almost. I've thought of ending the relationship, the pregnancy and running away, I only feel like this in the mornings. I've only ever cared for my newborns on my own, my routine, my autonomy is paramount.
I suffer with reactive depression and anxiety, have limited support. I'm usually such an outgoing bubbly quirky knobhead, who says silly things. I feel I'm not me anymore.

None of this makes sense I know. What's going on?!?!😔

milney25 · 11/01/2018 11:42

@spydie this is not the news us first timers were hoping for 😱😂

milney25 · 11/01/2018 11:44

@Stephiewoo sorry to hear you are struggling. You sound so self aware, and so I am sure you can work through it. Can you go and speak with your GP?

I know you have children already so it's tricky but can you get some time to yourself to clear your head? I'm thinking long walk, or some yoga?? I also suffer from depression and anxiety and I find it really helps me.

spydie · 11/01/2018 11:53

Sorry @milney25 Blush I think it is meant to ease up a bit at some point and then get worse again, but I genuinely found it never did.

Hope you are ok @stephiewoo can you speak to your GP at all? Flowers

Stephiewoo · 11/01/2018 12:00

As for peeing, your bladder will never be the same again!!!!😂😂😂😂

amzq87 · 11/01/2018 12:14

Sending you all the hugs @Stephiewoo - I struggle with just anxiety myself and can tell the difference these hormones are making. It will be different having a partner I bet - have you spoke to to him about how you feel? X

Minkies13 · 11/01/2018 12:24

The peeing in the middle of the night is killing me too. Mine started at about 5 weeks and every night I'm up at least 4 times. At least now (8 weeks) I'm able to be half asleep going to the toilet and I get back to sleep really quickly.

My nausea has died down completely, unless it's first thing in the morning and I'm starving. I've begun to realise that my nausea can be treated by eating. So strange!

YouCantBeSirius · 11/01/2018 12:37

I'm 11 weeks today and still no news of my 12 week scan. My midwife said I've to chase it up if I haven't heard anything by Monday. My sickness and nausea seemed to have let off recently but it's come back again today. I'm also really struggling with tiredness and I'm wondering if I'm maybe anemic again.

RainbowsAndUnicorns23 · 11/01/2018 13:17

May be worrying over nothing here, but cleaned out my ds hamster this morning then i thought is that safe when pregnant?! I know cat litter u can't, so just stressinga little! Anyone else have a hamster? Or know the answer?! Thanks!

RainbowsAndUnicorns23 · 11/01/2018 13:18

@youcantbesirious im 11 weeks on Sunday and also haven't heard! Its been 2 weeks since booking appointment.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/01/2018 13:38

@RainbowsAndUnicorns23 AFAIK hamsters don't hunt and eat other animals so I think you are good Grin

RainbowsAndUnicorns23 · 11/01/2018 13:41

@TheGrumpySquirrel yeah i do think i am being slightly over the top 😂 tho it has bit my OH a few times! Ha.

Expecto · 11/01/2018 14:15

The problem is I don’t even have the urge to go during the day just at night!!!!

@Stephiewoo totally understand how you feel...as for me I am a total control freak and the thought of having someone else’s input freaks me out a little but then by the sounds of it he’ll be completely new to the game so will most likely trust your judgement on things and if anything you might welcome an extra pair of hands

LadesC · 11/01/2018 14:15

@kathryn he sounds a complete tool and no douby he will soon realise what hes thrown away.

Im so bloody hungry. Took 2yr old to my fave cafe...had big smoothie, huge luscious panini type thing with home made hummus, sun dried toms, olives etc and a mint aero brownie. Got back in car and im famished to point of feeling sick. Toddler asleep in back so getting some peace but i need to eat again...specifically an exact repeat of my lunch but i cant go back ha!

LadesC · 11/01/2018 14:17

Does anyone here work for nhs, already claim childcare vouchers for 1st child and can explain best course of action to max my mat pay. Some people saying reduce vouchers for my 2 qualifying mnths, some saying leave as is as altho mat pay will be less, nhs will pay 243 per mnth vouchers when im on smp or no pay. Im totally confused.

Gem173 · 11/01/2018 16:53

I currently use the toilet 2-3 times a night, think I have ibs so was getting up anyway to eat, but it’s worse to the point its affecting my sleep. Got up to wee at 5am and my alarm goes off at 5:20am, what am I supposed to do in those extra 20 mins? Aha just makes me so tired

Expecto · 11/01/2018 17:22

I keep reading oh it’s your body’s way of preparing you to get up and feed the baby throughout the night...guess it’s sleepless nights for the foreseeable future Confused

Gizzymum · 11/01/2018 17:27

@Expecto that's what everyone told me last time. It does NOT prepare you for what's to come 😱

Expecto · 11/01/2018 18:03

@Gizzy....thanks for that....I’m soooo crapping myself. I can go without food and everything else but I’m not a morning person and neither can I go without sleep...I need like 9/10 hours 😭

BunBunMum · 11/01/2018 18:08

@Expecto before my first inalways said I needed 8hr sleep minimum....now that’s 5hr and it doesn’t need to be 5 consecutive hours....you do just get used to it! I have a non-sleeping toerag though!

Babydreaming · 11/01/2018 18:25

I’m not sure the peeing ever prepared me! I remember feeling sorry for myself towards the end of pregnancy that I couldn’t sleep cus of the bump and needing to pee....then laughing at myself afterwards when I had the baby and truly learnt what sleep deprivation felt like! I would have killed for a night of just waking to pee for a few mins for a couple times...instead I had a baby who would regularly be awake from 1am - 4.30am and then sleep for an hour before waking again! 1 year on and he still wakes me at least once a night!

Bring a mum is a whole new level of sleep deprivation. I remember being so tired in the first few weeks I think I was hallucinating! I’m pretty scared of going through it again!
