Has anyone dared weight themselves yet 😳? I'm 12 weeks on Monday and I've gained 5lb, thinking I need to make a conscious effort not to eat the nausea away...

Good luck to all having scans. We've got a private one in a couple of ours.

It's comforting I'm a way to know I'm not the only one with a toddler that still doesn't sleep. The first three months I thought "I've got this!" and then it went down hill and while it's not still 3-6 times a night with feeds, it's still about 2 on average and lots of screaming.

I think the biggest thing to get your head around is that babies/toddlers/young kids don't have the biological set up to sleep like adults in the western world, but they will get there eventually. Here's hoping that's soon for all of us!

Good luck to those of you having scans today! I’m only 8+1 but feels like I’ve been pregnant forever already, 12 week scan can’t come soon enough!

I also have a non-sleeping 14month old. Well I say non-sleeping, he sleeps fine in our bed! He does 7pm to around midnight in his cot and then at the first wake up he comes in with us and goes straight back to sleep. I’m just going with it at the moment because I’m so exhausted and hoping that in the 7 months until the new baby is born a miracle will happen!

Sorry I've been out of touch for a couple of days, my Grandad has been very ill for the last week and he died during the night last night so I'm just feeling relieved but distracted. 🙁😢

@TheSleeperandTheSpindle consleep loads here too. It's how to survive! Having to stop as of last night though (except when he's sick) as he seems to have an obsession now with pulling and pinching and digging into my lips, mouth & ears :(

There is a baby with a heartbeat! Measuring 8+3 so due date 22 August (even though I know I’m 8+0 by ov date). We got to see the heartbeat flickering away 💗 the pic they printed is rubbish, though I don’t mind 😊

Sorry for your loss E2017. I know that feeling of relief but sadness, has it when my granda died after a long illness. Look after yourself

Great news thegrumpysquirrel, good luck to the others with scans today.

Feels like I have to wait ages for mine, not got my booking in appt til 26th then I'll get a scan date the week after. Saw the midwife on Wednesday and assumed that would be the booking in but she just asked some basic questions and advised I needed a higher dose of folic acid and vitamin d as I am overweight and gave me a prescription for that. Time really does drag sometimes

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been so quiet. Returning to work has been tough with the sickness. I've found scrolling on my iPad makes me feel sick too. And I have had bad fatigue.

On the upside, I did get an early scan (due to the severity of my sickness and abdominal pain) and things look good. 7w+2d little bean, thankfully a singleton who looks perfect and textbook for development. Unfortunately my abdominal pain is coming from a tennis ball sized ovarian cyst. Which explains the bloating and tight trousers. The plan is to monitor as the pregnancy should shrink it apparently.

Psychologically feeling much happier despite the sickness, but it is so tough. I had several naps to get through the day yesterday. I had to drive a 190 mile round trip and had to kip in lay-bys. Never done that before!

All good here - phew! Couldn't wait for the 12w scan!
