September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital Blush) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon Grin

Ooo seems to vary! Flowers to all already suffering with nausea, it really is horrid! I'm dreading that part. Nausea/vomiting at work would be horrendous.

Hope everyone's enjoying a relaxing alcohol free Friday Grin

Twinkletoes2018 · 12/01/2018 22:22

We are getting close to need a new thread... does anyone know how to do it and post the link I'm a bit unsure

Mrsssmith11 · 12/01/2018 22:22

I've had the worst week at work, and my kid is having a sleepover with her cousin, but I can't have a drink. Meh!

MonaTheMoaner · 12/01/2018 22:35

kirinm you just reminded me that I’m 6+1 today too 😂 Due date twins!

Does anyone else feel like these early weeks are dragging? Another six weeks to the 12 week scan and the major danger zone feels like an eternity.

CuppaSarah · 12/01/2018 22:56

6 more weeks is unbearable. I just wanna know everything is ok.

Had to have a bridesmaid meeting and spent half of it trying not to be ill. I'm so tired I feel dizzy. My four year old dd had been so tearful and clingy lately, it's like she knows I'm different at the moment.

Lineeye · 13/01/2018 06:34

I got my Pregnant 2-3 on cb digi this morning at 16dpo. I’m so glad it went up, I was shaking trying to do the test I was so nervous. It never reached 2-3 with all three of my chemical pregnancies, but it did with the pregnancy which resulted in my dd. I’m so happy and the worrying has been allayed for a few hours!

ShutTheFridgeUp · 13/01/2018 08:59

Hooray for your 2-3!!

iamloading · 13/01/2018 09:16

Yey congrats lineeye! I just wish we could all go to sleep and wake up for the 12 week scan!

Paranormalbouquet · 13/01/2018 09:23

Anyone else delighted it’s saturday?!

My nausea is still at a low level but think not having to get tube/rush about is helping hugely. Sharp shooting pains around my section scar today, which is distressing but I believe not unusual.

Mona it’s really really dragging alright! Are bridesmaid meetings a thing?! I only had one and told her to pick her own dress. Very little fuss! Lineeye congrats on 2-3 weeks!

I’m either 6+6 or 7 weeks now.

Flybynight1 · 13/01/2018 09:32

Congrats lineeye!

I'm happy it's Saturday but mainly because DS was awake 4-6am... you know what makes the 18 month sleep regression even better? Early pregnancy insomnia and burning nipples!!

Agreed mona each week feels like a month!

CuppaSarah · 13/01/2018 09:37

Sadly yes, apparently they are. But we did nothing. I just listened to sil and her friend gossip while I smiled and nodded. I did do a hair trial for bridesmaid hair and it worked so well, I've woken up still looking like jenny from Call the Midwife.

My nausea has been way less severe this time which has me worried. I was way more ill with dd and quite a bit more ill with ds. Maybe it just gets less bad the more babies you have?

It must be a relief to be away from the tube this morning.

What a relief lineye do you think you'll be able to stop testing now? Or will join us in the constant test madness.

LostMyBaubles · 13/01/2018 09:45

Cuppa my 3yr old has been the same

None stop.
Sent him to bed for a nap so I could have a break from his complaining lol
It worked 😁

MonaTheMoaner · 13/01/2018 09:59

Congrats lineeye that’s amazing news!!

Delighted it’s Saturday. I’m trying to take it one day at a time which is much easier when I have two DD’s home to keep my mind focused on them. They spend most of the week sleeping at my sisters due to proximity to school and because they have their own room there while I’m working or studying so when the weekend rolls around and both DH and I are off it feels like real family time.

Lineeye · 13/01/2018 10:03

Thanks all. @CuppaSarah, yes I’m done testing now, just going to wait for early scan at 6w3d which will be two weeks tomorrow.

MonaTheMoaner · 13/01/2018 10:11

Oh that’s so exciting lineeye!

Anyone got a scan before the next 10 days or are namechangedtoscream and I next?

UppityStitch · 13/01/2018 10:12

Hello Everyone,
Tentatively hoping aboard as I got a light BFP this morning (15 dpo) -still don't believe it Shock. Had a MC in March 13, then DS in Nov 14. Been TTC 5 months.

I've been suffering with really bad flu for the past few days and I was too scared to take anything just in case.

Based on my LMP of 16/12, I'm 4+2 and my due date is 20/09/18

September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP
MonaTheMoaner · 13/01/2018 10:14

Welcome UppitStitch. Have you taken plain paracetamol? I know Lemsip is no good :(

kirinm · 13/01/2018 10:19

Morning. Only slightly panicking as my nausea has calmed right down (although I am still laying down)! I think I've got a cold coming. DP has been sleeping in a different room for the last couple of nights as he's got a bad cold and didn't want to give it to me (plus, his snoring is horrific even when he hadn't got a cold) but I think I may have caught it anyway. Urgh. I had multiple colds throughout December. At least it's not flu.

I am soooo grateful it's the weekend.

MonaTheMoaner · 13/01/2018 10:22

kirinm I’ve had the flu jab but I’m so paranoid about getting the flu. With being pregnant on top of fibromyalgia it doesn’t seem like a lot of fun.

kirinm · 13/01/2018 10:26

@MonaTheMoaner I didn't realise you have fibromyalgia- poor you. Did the flu jab make you feel unwell at all? Ive been putting off getting it as the tiredness and nausea are making work feel hard enough as it is.

UppityStitch · 13/01/2018 10:26

@MonaTheMoaner I started taking plain paracetamol last night and it seems to have helped a bit. I scared myself when I read that it can cause MC before 12 weeks

I've had my flu jab but this is something else. I couldn't function or lift my head of the pillow. I feel so bad I've left my 3 year old with snacks and CBeebies yesterday, but somehow he survived.

Paranormalbouquet · 13/01/2018 10:32

@kirinm I get the flu jab every year (NHS worker) and it’s fine. The flu is 1000 times worse- all those headlines re overful hospitals aren’t exaggeration, London hospitals are heaving with the flu. If you are on public transport you’ll be exposed in no time. Every year there are admissions of pregnant women to ITU due to flu. I strongly encourage everyone to get the vaccine!

MonaTheMoaner · 13/01/2018 10:32

kirinm Just a sore arm, no other side effects thank god. I have mild asthma too which is why I get it on the NHS. I’ve been very lucky as my dad is a Type 1 Diabetic and is very ill from every flu injection but I just get the heavy feeling tender injection site pain.

The doctor thinks the fibromyalgia pain contributed to the signs of an ectopic. They think I had an ovarian cyst that burst but the lingering pain was amplified by the fibromyalgia pain so thank god the baby is fine. I’m not on any medication for the fibromyalgia at the moment either so I feel I’m going to cope poorly when I flare during pregnancy. I was diagnosed after DD2’s birth seven years ago so I’ve never been heavily pregnant with it so far.

UppityStitch The illness can cause miscarriage or paracetamol?

kirinm · 13/01/2018 10:36

Okay thanks @Paranormalbouquet and @MonaTheMoaner I have quite severe asthma so am offered it every year (I've never taken them up on the offer). I'll arrange to get it next week.

MonaTheMoaner · 13/01/2018 10:42

Definitely get it kirinm. I’ve only had the real flu once and it’s a fresh kind of hell that ended in days of bed rest, hospitalisation and pneumonia. For what limited side effects you hear about, it’s a lot better than influenza.
