September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital Blush) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon Grin

kirin getting pregnacare max in my ocado order tomorrow, assume it has vitamin d in?

Shook2018 · 12/01/2018 19:35

Sorry to hear the early scans haven't been as reassuring as hoped! But it's still such early days Smile lovely news about the heartbeats!

I don't say this in a mean way but I'm glad so many people are feeling the same way as me! I can't eat anything but carbs, totally the same with the toothbrush gagging, and I haven't thrown up but I feel sick all day everyday!

iamloading · 12/01/2018 19:44

Does anyone not have sore boobs? Mine were so bad last time but nothing this time which worries me. Feeling very sick though on the plus side!

coastalchick · 12/01/2018 19:47

I just got 3 for 2 in boots on pregnacare max. My boobs aren't as sore this time. Which does worry me.

coastalchick · 12/01/2018 19:47

But I think every pregnancy is different so we must try not to worry

Mrsssmith11 · 12/01/2018 19:53

@LostMyBaubles have you tried that roll on 4head stuff? I used it last pregnancy.

Paranormalbouquet · 12/01/2018 19:54

My boobs weren’t sore at all last time, were sore up until a few days ago but not anymore. Nausea comes and goes constantly. @kirinm I take folic acid+vit d as a combination tablet- can get them in boots and Superdrug.

kirinm · 12/01/2018 19:57

Thanks. Due to a medical condition I already take 5mg of folic acid everyday so I wanted to avoid taking a multivitamin that has folic acid in too.

LostMyBaubles · 12/01/2018 20:06

I've not. Doesn't it smell a bit? I remember something similiar that we used to use in my late grandma and I'm sure it has a vicks type smell??

Twinkletoes2018 · 12/01/2018 20:14

@kirinm I'm on 5 mg of folic acid my obstetrician told me it was ok to take pregnacare alongside it but obviously check with your own team

Twinkletoes2018 · 12/01/2018 20:16

I think someone told me you just wee out excess folic acid

Jfw82 · 12/01/2018 20:35

Sorry for those not seeing what they want at their scans- these beans are so tiny this early

Had my bloods taken today for booking in and then midwife called me this afternoon to arrange my booking in - wanted to do it next week but we're going away for 2 weeks tomorrow so won't see her until 30th when I should be 8+1...

Am slightly concerned as holiday is to somewhere with some zika risk but have just packed about 5 different types of mosquitoes repelling products in the case so hyper vigilance alongside enjoying the sunshine

Sorry to all with scan worry. I've been there before and when went back it was fine. But I understand that nothing will take away that worry for you.
With some holiday insurance you can claim if zika high risk area and pregnant. Zika seems to be in a lot of countries now. I'm unsure with regards to pregnancy but a high amount of Deet in spray is recommended but need to check when pregnant.
I hope everyone has a good weekend and hello to everyone with recent positive tests x

The 4Head stuff is brilliant. I have a headache right now although I’m drinking about 3 litres of water a day due to intense thirst and paracetamol isn’t shifting it. Definitely recommend that and a cool flannel when you’re at home laying down with the tv on/reading a book.

I’m taking Vitamin C & D in one tablet from Aldi and then the regular tiny little folic acid tablets. Read that you urinate out excess folic acid but check with a midwife, pharmacist or doctor if you’re concerned.

Really struggling with a lack of caffeine. I’m coming from a few energy drinks a week and mugs and mugs of coffee per day to one or two cups of coffee max and lots of water. Any recommendations for keeping yourself alert and energised in pregnancy naturally?

Sals27 · 12/01/2018 21:04

Im sorry for the confusing scans today.

To those of you with nausea/other symptoms, how far along were you when they first appeared? Im 5w tomorrow and have nothing. I am most definitely not wishing they would hurry up, more likely hoping I get away lightly (especially nausea!) so wondering when I should start to expect something

Fia256 · 12/01/2018 21:10

@Sals27 if it helps I'm 5+5 today and today was the first time I've gagged a few times. But still not proper nausea really yet! I have always found it hits me at about 7 weeks, and then it hits me hard!

Fia256 · 12/01/2018 21:10

Oh and tender boobs probably started 2-3 days ago too. Nothing till then!

Secondsop · 12/01/2018 21:23

@sals27 I’m 6 weeks today, and this is the first day of my nausea (gagging in the morning, and then evening nausea. I’m an evening nausea person, and a nausea-without-vomiting person). In my previous pregnancy it was later - more like 9-10 weeks.

LostMyBaubles · 12/01/2018 21:46

5+2 here after scan (thought was 6weeks tomorrow) and my nausea has been very bad today

Boobs have been on and off hurting

HannahJH · 12/01/2018 21:57

I’m 4 weeks and felt nauseous today and yesterday. It’s really worrying me cuz in my last two pregnancies it started at 6 weeks. Didn’t even know it could start at 4.

I don’t really have other symptoms though and I think my boobs don’t hurt cuz I’m still feeding DD1 and they’re used to hormones maybe!?

Xx

MonaTheMoaner · 12/01/2018 21:58

I’m a nausea without vomiting person too. Within minutes of waking up and then in the evening but through the day I’m fine. I’m 6 weeks today so there’s still time for it to kick in full force but I was a nausea and not a vomit person in previous pregnancies too (except after drinking anything blackcurrent - that set off proper vomiting for some reason).

In a soft bra only my nipples are sore when touched but once my boobs are free it’s all systems go with the severity of the soreness. Bloody gravity.

kirinm · 12/01/2018 22:04

I've started having pretty much all day nausea now. I was nauseous on and off yesterday. I can calm it down with food which was easy enough to do until today when suddenly I couldn't think of any food that didn't make me want to be sick. I'm 6+1 today.

Mrsssmith11 · 12/01/2018 22:08

I'll be 5 weeks on sunday. No signs of nausea yet, I was gagging when my lg pooped yesterday though. That's a first. Boobs have been sore since before I found out, was one of the things that made me think I was pregnant.

Twinkletoes2018 · 12/01/2018 22:13

@MonaTheMoaner thanks I was going to try and gargle with some salt water before bed.

dingdongdigeridoo · 12/01/2018 22:15

6+6 here and the nausea has fully kicked in. It's not in the morning, but all bloody day and into the evening, making work difficult. Food sometimes helps. I'm also beyond exhausted and bloating like crazy. Agh, hopefully only 5 more weeks of the really bad symptoms.
