September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital ) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon

Anyone else find tooth brushing is causing gagging? It’s horrible!

@Paranormalbouquet Yep. Although the gagging seems to very temporarily help the nausea.

Hi all,
Can I tentatively join? Got a surprise positive last night and think I'm around 7 weeks today. I'm in complete shock as three months ago I gave birth to my stillborn daughter, and I had to go through full on fertility treatment to get her. Have a scan at 4.00 today and expecting the worst as I just can't believe that the 3+ on the clear blue can be correct. No real symptoms other than nausea, last time I had cramps and painful boobs but none of that so far which makes me expect the worst as well.
Thinking of everyone else with scans today x

Morning, can I join please, we found out on Monday that we are surprisingly pregnant with our fourth child. After being at the doctor with what I thought was a UTI. Because of my symptoms I was scanned at the epu as there was a possibility of an ectopic pregnancy. However no ectopic and an EDD of the 5th of September. I think im still in shock, even after the scan I have taken 7 tests 🙈 our oldest will be 18 in May and the other two are 11 & 4.

This is so exciting for everyone! Welcome! I have older children too mummyvb127 although my eldest is 9 and youngest is 7. Bit of an age gap!

Good luck to everyone with scans today. I’m just about to set off for mine! Update us all as to how they go.

Oh rubbish I've just started checking my blood sugars and they are high already I think my gestational diabetes might be back can't believe it would happen so soon- have left a message for diabetic midwife ive not even had booking in yet!

I gag on the toothbrush when the nausea eventually hits - which it hasn't yet (fortunately or unfortunately, depending on point of view). Think there was a point with DC2 that I literally could only tolerate a quick polish of the front teeth for fear of instantly vomiting up my insides (and even that would make me gag.)

Iamloading I'm so sorry about your daughter, I'm not surprised you're in shock. You're in good company here. A lot of us have slightly more complicated pregnancies, so you can talk candidly with us.

Twinkletoes I hope it was just a rogue reading. My SIL had gd with both pregnancies, it seems so unfair to make a pregnant woman control her diet so strictly, when all you want to do it pig out.

I'm going to look at 7 seater cars with weekend. Mines playing up a bit and we need a 7 seater before September. I know it's too early, but with dds friends wanting to come round after school it'll be great to have one.

Hope everyone's scans have gone well. Just on the ward waiting for mine and the couple opposite look like they've just been given bad news. If this is any of you please know my thoughts are with you xx

Sometimes that's the only way she can get checked. Been in that situation where I've had to take all 3 kids with me.

Currently in epu right now
They won't scan as I'm not 7 weeks yet so if my hcg Is over 1500 they will scan tomorrow

Joining cautiously. Got BFP last night with EDD 23 sept. Overjoyed and petrified - got pregnant with out first in July but ended in MMC end August. So scared will happen again.

I turn 40 2 days before EDD

Inconclusive scan. Possible foetal pole of 2mm gestation sac visible and endometrium thickened. Back in 10 days for a rescan. She seems hopeful I'm not.

Oh NameChanged, I'm gutted to hear that how sure are you of your ovulation dates?

Namechangedtoscream in the same boat. Baby measured 2mm and there was a slight flicker but they said the baby is so small it’s hard to see. Back 9am the 22nd.

They managed to scan me
She saw sac and yolk nothing else
She said I'm measuring 5weeks. I'm sure I was 6 weeks tomorrow.
Is it normal to not see heartbeat this gestation?

Thankfully it's not ectopic which is what we worried about.

Will be having another scan to make sure it's progressing properly

I'm not too sure of when I ov as my tests were confusing me and I think I might have tried to ov once then again as I had pain a few days later again

And the fact I didn't get a bfp until my period was due rather than before makes me wonder I might just be a few days behind than what I thought. Fx

So sorry to hear those having early scans didn’t see what they wanted and weren’t reassured. It’s still such early days though, everything changes so quickly at this point, so don’t lose hope.
