September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital ) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon

I just feel permanently travel sick. Even when I’m lying in bed at night. The only thing that stops it is eating so I’m doing a lot of that!

twiggy it really is scary isn't it? I'm already panicking about a newborn again and if it's going to have a negative impact on my two. I was so desperate to be here, yet now I am I, I don't know if I can do it. Yet the thought of anything happening makes me even more upset. It's a big confusing mess in my head.

Oh NameChanged I missed that, good luck tomorrow at your scan. Hope it goes fabulously well. Most of all I hope they don't get either of you waiting too long for them, the waiting is the worst bit imo.

I go from nausea to absolutely ravenous followed by eating something bad I wouldn't normally eat to just about not nauseous anymore.

Hi, can I join? I’m 4 weeks pregnant with due date 20th September. I found out 5 days ago and it’s been a loooong wait to 4 weeks! I had a chemical pregnancy last month. I have 1 dd and had two chemicals before her. I’m hoping this one is going the right way, lines seem to be progressing better this time than last month. If this pregnancy sticks then we’ll have an age gap of just over 3 years.

Hi Fia, how are you? Thank you so much for all the support over there. I had a bit of a wobble yesterday as my line had gotten slightly lighter than the day before, but it’s back to dark again this evening and is now ever so slightly darker than the control line. I’ve spent all day believing I was having another chemical. However, cb digital only showing as pregnant 1-2. My husband thinks I have gone mad with all this testing (and he’s right).

I relayed to my sister my clearblue testing panic and she (who is just confirmed as 12 weeks pregnant) said she did one test and then waited for her 12 week scan!

@Secondsop, I wish I could be that normal about it all!

I also went mad with the testing! I think I did 8 frers and 4 digis all in all it ended up making my anxiety worse though, waiting for the result in the hope it would be better than the one before! The last one I did was a whole week ago now, which was my last cb and finally got 2-3 on (at 4+4, was still getting 1-2 at 4+2). There's a part of me that out of interest would love to do another but at the same time, I don't want the anxiety of it not being what I want to see, and also can't cope with wasting more money

That gives me a bit of hope @Fia256, I’m going to wait another couple of days to do the other digi from the pack and check it’s ticked over to 2-3.

Secondsop I wish I could be so normal about it too. I took another CBD this afternoon with diluted wee just to make sure it still said 3+ (I’m 6 weeks today).

It has felt like an eternity that I’ve known I’m pregnant and in reality it’s less than a month. Damn me finding out at 3 weeks!

Can’t book in with the midwife yet as the surgery has no booking in forms so I need to wait until next week and then hopefully I can fill it out and wait for someone to get back to me. I’m raring to go through this pregnancy and just want all the exciting things to happen that will seem really mundane at the time like midwife appointments, blood tests, not being able to fit in my clothes, movements etc and then my anxiety comes knocking to remind me not to get over excited.

DH thinks I can get excited at the NHS dating scan. Personally, I don’t think this anxiety will calm any until I’m 24 weeks and the baby is viable and even then it will continue until we have a healthy baby and thereafter. My DC’s are 9 and 7 and I still worry all the time!

Yeah just give it a few more days and I'm sure it'll go to 2-3. I'd love to get another and get 3+ but I remember with dd it took ages to and caused more stress! It really is so hard to step away from the tests after you've had chemicals though so I know exactly where your coming from

@twiggy123 I'm older too, I'll be 38 when baby comes. Also, my lg will be 4. It's a thought to go back to it again.

I only did 1 test time and have pinky done one this time too. Last time I was sick straight away and boobs were so sore, no denying it. My family is super fertile too (bil has 6 kids, sil has 4, brother has 4, yeah we're fertile).

I only did 1 IC and 1 digital. And I did the digital simply because I've never done one before!

Meant I've only done one this time.

I think my sister is the “abnormal” one for not obsessing about tests!!

I did find, though, that the weeks went much quicker for my second baby. For my first pregnancy that made it (which was after a miscarriage) at any given point I could pretty much tell you to the minute how pregnant I was. Next one, not so much.

In my first pregnancy I did one test! Oh the naive young woman I was. In my second I did four. This time I've already done eight. I refuse to do digitals though. I just know they'll panic me no matter what it says.

Did you guys hear about ikeas campaign in Sweden? A flyer that if a pregnant woman pees on, it shows a voucher code for a cot! A pregnancy test from a magazine, it's the future.

I only took a normal and a digi last time... I had a digi left over for this pregnancy! So when I test on Saturday (with my third digi ) I'm hoping for a 3 weeks + 🤞🏻

You managed to be pregnant for a whole 9 months with a pregnancy test, unused in your house?!?!?! I am in awe of that.

Cuppasarah and mrrsmith (sorry I can't seem to bold on my phone). I think we will be fine. Hormones also play their part with feelings and worries and everything feels heightened! If that makes sense?

I've taken three tests (at work) so far and line is stronger. 6+2 now but will have a CS due to previous labour issues. As I'll be just 40 in Sept not sure if will be brought forward a week.

I took loads of tests the first two weeks but have refused to do a digital this time. Not much point now as at almost 7 weeks they’ll possibly start getting lighter again soon and that will stress me again.

I’m feeling really really tired. Which given that my nausea and sore boobs have gone is making me feel a bit better!

Totally with you on the multiple tests I've done 8 in 7 days! I've spent so much money!
