Eddas - I know you had a nasty experience last time, but a pal of mine was recently induced and had a REALLY swift labour, despite having an epi. She said the epi was in fact her top tip, as it stopped her worrying about whether induction would be more painful than spontaneous. So if you do go in tomorrow, wishing you a birth like that one

Emmymummy - I was going to say, fake feeling like crap, but in fact we ALL feel like crap, so you wouldn't be faking at all. Ring your friend now, say you don't feel up to it, but you'd love to re-arrange for when the new baby is a few weeks old.

Pesha · 12/04/2007 21:05

Dp is going to work now and taking laptop with him and wont be bringing it back til sat morning so I will have no internet access till then

Ellie could you text me if anything exciting happens or f you're getting short on credit dont mind you passing my number on to anyone else who isnt ( how cheeky am I?! )

He's hassling me now!

So good luck to you all, Ill miss you Good bye...

Eddas · 12/04/2007 21:06

That's nice to know bugmum, what's an epi(sorry if being very thick). Thing is i know it won't be the same, they never are, i'm just a worrier!

Hi emmy, if you really don;t wnat to see your friend just tell them. I'm sure they'll understand. Better to say something than spend the day wishing they'd go

Bugmum · 12/04/2007 21:07

Pesha - oh NO! That is NOT what you need at this time: no internet. I know you know that - so what a rubbish thing of me to say! But I send hugs

Bugmum · 12/04/2007 21:08

Eddas - you are not being thick, I'm just being lazy not typing proper words! Epi=epidural. I'm a worrier too, hence the constant thought that I won't get my VBAC, even though (as long as we are both fine), a C-section is hardly the end of the world!

Eddas · 12/04/2007 21:08

Luce, i'll let you all have the phone number and you can get them for me

Right i really must go wash my hair and have a bath. I don't want to turn up looking like Vicky Pollard!!

Emmymummy · 12/04/2007 21:09

Thanks, yes you are right, I should just tell her I'm feeling crap and need some peace & quiet. Wouldn't be a lie at all! I really shouldn't have arranged to see her, but was feeling a bit guilty that we hadn't arranged anything at all this week.

Can I be in your gang? I'm sure I could scare Eddas's MW by threatening to sit on her!

Bugmum · 12/04/2007 21:10

Night and good luck, Eddas. And night all: am off to make myself raspberry leaf tea (I quite like it).

Wishing ma homies a wicked good night

Eddas - hope they let you in tomorrow and it all goes to plan. Good luck!

Eddas · 12/04/2007 21:11

Thought it was bugmum just wanted to make sure

Had one with dd and it was great. Mind you it stop working down one leg at one point and was f*in agony. Was fine whilst it worked though.

I hated gas and air so sure an epidural will be a goer for me. Maybe i won't need any pain relief, it'll just pop out in a few minutes

Emmymummy - PMSL at the thought of the WHOLE gang threatening to sit on her!

Right. Tea.

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 21:12

Bye Pesha
Am happy to text you if you'd like to share Ellie? You'd have to tell me what to say though, I'd be useless - erm "someone has had a baby"

Emmymummy · 12/04/2007 21:13

Night Bugmum.

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 21:13

good evenign folks - what no more babies!!!!!!!!!
edda - good luck to you for the morning - hope they have a space... xo

clarice - hello????????? any news? who is her buddy??
emmy - echo what others said - you have a day to yourself 2morro and lunge/ laze/ pamper while you have the chance!

was out and about all this afternoon. roasting day here - rare fro glasgow so made the most of it - sitting outside in teh sun with my nct mums and then another m.n.'er. lovely time before meetign dp and sitting at a beer garden. was treated like a princess by the staff and punters - even got sent a bottle of wine (uncorked)from a table to put away for when the bubba is born. aint that nice??

gmm - i have emailed you re my plans fro 2morro - i am meeting up with some workie ones and have to try and find a garage to MOT the car(had forgotten!)

strange thing today - i pushed the bump over to one side off my belly's hot spot and could really really feel pressure and twisting sensation right low down in my pelvis. yeuch. wont do that again!

whats the betting that when i log on in the morning - there'll be another 2 babies??

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 21:23

Nothing really, he's just had half a bottle of wine and is doing the annoying drunk thing! He's normally lovely though so I shouldn't complain. He's gone to bed now as he's had a few early mornings and broken nights (good preparation!!) leaving me in peace to MN!

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 21:25

weeonion - at least 2!
My bump got incredibly wonky earlier - looked as though he was all on one side pretty much. He seems to have straightened out now. Just curious, what do you mean by 'hot spot'?

Emmymummy · 12/04/2007 21:29

Katy - surely he shouldn't be drinking too much - what if he had to drive you somewhere in the middle of the night?!!!

Weeonion - that's so nice about the bottle of wine. Crickey, you don't hear about generosity like that very often.

Well am taking my squirming bump off to bed to see if she'll settle down. Can feel little arms flapping around near both my hip bones, very strange indeed. Night all - looking forward to seeing of we get any little Damiens born tomorrow!!

weeonion · 12/04/2007 21:30

i have a really sore bit on my belly - feels liek it is burnt on teh inside. if i touch it or someone else does - so so sore. i cant bear anything on it - even the elastic of my trews. had it checked at hospital as they wondered if anything was up =with placenta. all fine but they reckon it is where the tummy muscles have overstretched and split a bit lengthways - a bit like a hernia/ it is sore but hey - my tummy was a bloody mess beforehand so not so worried.
