Woops. I've just texted Dippy to ask the same. It's going to be on her hit list now with "Any twinges?"

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/04/2007 13:50

EM, your post really made me smile! I think it was the vision of a heavily pregnant woman skipping anywhere!

Had a good chat with dh and feel a lot better. I do wonder where his head is at at times though - bloody muppet!

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 13:50

Next thread title: SOME of us are popping like cheap microwave popcorn (going round and round and singeing slightly but not POPPING)

OK, a bit long and daft, but it would equal things up!

EllieKthePA · 12/04/2007 13:55

you're not even due yet Katy

will you lot please leave the being impatient to us over-cooked ones

matthew got some new outdoor toys yesterday, and there was a skipping rope in there. was very tempted ...

I just locked the dc out in the garden so I could wash the kitchen floor without them running in and out every 5 seconds but feeling abit guilty now so just gave them both a lolly to make up. And had one myself of course Somehow 1 just never seems quite enough though, should I have another?

Have also cleaned the car carpet thing with the foam i got yesterday, not sure its really done the job though. Might end up just hosing it down I think!

Not sure what to do now! Im getting fed up with dp working nights so sleeping here all day, makes it really hard to get on and do things without worrying its gonna wake him up.

geordiemacminx · 12/04/2007 14:03

Oooooh get Ellie - I think someone is getting ratty...

How funny would it be if ellie was last

maveta · 12/04/2007 14:04

LOL @ GMM...

Pesha - resounding YES to having another ice lolly.. I´m off to have a truffle instead...

EllieKthePA · 12/04/2007 14:05

Ellie - my moses basket stand has just arrived so as far as I'm concerned we're ready for the baby to arrive any time now! I'm sure you won't be last, I will be. Haven't even had a definite BH!

Pesha · 12/04/2007 14:12

Dc have both just come back inside which has put the kaibosh on me having another lolly cos then they'll want one and wont stop going on at me

Have just sent maia to her room for lying to me. That girl is driving me mad. She doesnt listen to a word i say to her, does whatever she wants and thinks she can just hide things from me or lie to me. Every day I think we argued too much yesterday, today I wont get cross but she takes no notice and she's driving me mad. I could cry.

EllieKthePA · 12/04/2007 14:13

i didn't have any bh with matthew at all so don't be looking for that as a hint!

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 12/04/2007 14:15

just got call back from midwife
why do i want to see them?
i told her because i'm overdue and haven't seen anyone for over 2 weeks
would at least like to know baby is still head down.

"oh. well i suppose i can see you in the morning then. but you'll have to come her."

fucking stupid snobby cow. seriously fucked off now.

Pesha · 12/04/2007 14:17

No this is the first pg ive ever had any BH and never had a show first time and last time it was when i stopped to go to the loo just as I got into the labour ward so less than 2 hours before he was born. And had my waters broken first time and 2nd time they went and he came out with them so no signs of any sort apart from actually being in labour! And this time he's not even bloody engaged yet!!

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 14:18

Ellie, sounds like they're doing you a huge favour - a midwife seeing a heavily pregnant woman?? Don't tell us or we'll all want to see one
Pesha, has she always done this, or is it a recent thing to do with adapting to the baby?
Didn't realise sometimes you just don't get BHs! I think I've had some anyway, but can't be 100% sure.

Pesha · 12/04/2007 14:20

Ellie Cant believe they're being so crap. Heres hoping she gives you a sweep and your waters go and spray all over her!!

Bramshott · 12/04/2007 14:21

Just popping in to say hi. Thanks for all the email updates Ellie. Sure this is why your baby is staying in - it knows we need you too much!!

Feeling very sunny-happy today - sun shining, DD1 watching Cbeebies, DD2 sleeping! Have even managed to achieve a few things today - registered birth, went to swings, sent a couple of emails, managed to escape with only 30 mins spent playing Alice in bloody Wonderland . Off to friends now to chill and and breasfeed on her sofa!

Pesha · 12/04/2007 14:32

She's always gone through phases of being a little madam (thats me putting it nicely!) and then we sort it out then she starts again so who knows what it is. just had a little talk with her but dont know if she'll actually take any notice or if she's just standing there nodding and saying yes mummy sorry mummy but not taking slightest bit of notice as usual. I know really I need to start some sort of reward based thing. Thats how we normally get her out of it just cos it moves the focus on to the posistive things rather than the negative. Its so infuriating though and Im not exactly awash with patience at the moment which probably really isnt helping things and i think Im staying cross too long and still being annoyed with her when I should have let it go.

I so miss being able to escape outside on my own for 5 mins having a fag!!

eca · 12/04/2007 14:34

ok, ice lollies confession... this is my 6th!!! They are mini ones though...

Ellie - those mw's are wierd!

pesha - sorry dd is being a pita. Hopefully it's all just pre-baby angst and will settle down after baby comes.

Hi Bramshott! Glad to hear you're feeling so upbeat! xx

EllieKthePA · 12/04/2007 14:35

doesn't sound like they do sweeps here at all

OP posts:
Katy44 · 12/04/2007 14:36

Hope you manage to get the reward system sorted out. Don't blame you for being lacking in patience!

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 14:37

Don't do sweeps??? Ellie - are you seeing a midwife or a car mechanic??

oooggs · 12/04/2007 14:40

whywhywhy, birdiebump & lesley R congrats to you all - seemed to have missed all the details.

Was thinking of you this morning birdiebump as this being our joint due date and you didn't make it either

hope all is well with you all in waiting, labour vibes

sospl - I think dh is being selfish & unreasonable too x

Just got Erin to sleep and now Jack is screaming arghhhhhhhhh

Pesha · 12/04/2007 14:40

That cant be right surely Ellie Can you start a thread in pregnancy or something asking what you're actually entitled to and who can you go to if they wont give it to you cos it doesnt seem right to me at all but i dont really know much!

Pesha · 12/04/2007 14:42

LOL at the thought of Ellie seeing a car mechanic Now if that were the case maybe he might be able to get things going

Pesha · 12/04/2007 14:43

Sorry for incredibly sexist presumption that car mechanic must be male but it was required for rude childish joke!
