Ooh that sounds painful! Glad it's not serious!
Emmymummy, I know, we keep talking about this. I think the issue is that we are both in denial about the fact I'll actually be having a baby in the next few weeks! Think you're right and this might have to be the last time now. Didn't think he'd drank that much but he's a complete lightweight and it's all gone to his head

Katy44 · 12/04/2007 21:35

Good night everyone xx Don't think anyone's gone into labour yet tonight? (Not on MN anyway, which as we all know, is the only way )

runnyhabbit · 12/04/2007 21:45

Can anyone recommend a good nipple cream? and where I can get it from.
BF going well, but nipples are getting sore

geordiemacminx · 12/04/2007 21:55

lanasoh or something like that - its £10 a tube, although a bit cheaper on ebay bu supposed to be fantastic, or kamasilon or something?

bumble75 · 12/04/2007 22:00

Not from personal experience but the m/w at my ante-natal bf workshop recommended the lansinoh (sp?) one as well... so did the new mum who came along with her 6 week old - said it was the best thing she'd bought! It's in my local village pharmacy so imagine it's pretty widely available...

octo · 12/04/2007 22:13

Evening - no more babies yet???!!!!

Dh and I sorted school stuff.

Still grumpy here!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 12/04/2007 22:17

Eddas, good luck for tomorrow. I really hope you are treated with more respect than today.

Runny, what a fab birth story - brought a tear to my eye I have to say. Really glad things are going well.

Emmy, I feel exactly the same as you by the sounds of it. I have arranged to meet my cousin tomorrow for lunch, and all I want to do is stay local to home and have lunch with dh who is working from home tomorrow. (I know I hated him earlier - well not hated exactly!) I just feel a bit like going in to my shell. I am also fed up of being stared at and feel very paranoid/self conscious. Also, woke up this morning feeling like I had butterflies - all sort of excited but apprehensive. Most strange.

Hi LuceWheel,GMM, WO and Katy.

Right, off to bed now.

Hope everyone has a decent nights' sleep. Looking forward to news from CB and Doghouse as well.

Lots of love. x

My waters are leaking, my waters are leaking

octo · 12/04/2007 23:44

hoooorrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! !!!!

yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiippppppppppppeeeeeeee

great news eddas

would they really turn you away - I would just go and have it on the doorstep or phone an ambulance to get in LOL

octo · 12/04/2007 23:47

After my earlier grumpy post - it has taken me and dh 3 hours to work out and agree what to say at the school appeal! We had to get it right in case we can't make it as I am in labour or dh has to go on his own. It has been torture - more issues over me not using word shortcuts than what is actually being written- but it is done now and feel happier!

Eddas · 12/04/2007 23:48

Thought i'd b by myself so hellloooo Octo, i'm so f*in happy and about labour

She just said they might close the unit and i'd have to go to the other nearest one. Think it does happen that they can turn you away. Not sure I want to have it in the bathroom like WO's friend, LOL!!

octo · 12/04/2007 23:49

hooooorraaahahhahhhhhhhhh - I am soooo pleased for you - you have waited so long - I would have def lost my rag by now!

How far is the next nearest hospital from you?

Eddas · 12/04/2007 23:51

Glad to hear you've got the appeal sorted in your heads/on paper. It's such a PITA for you and the worst timing. I haven't had to deal with schools yet as dd is only just coming up for 3. But i think when i do because she's going to the one in the village we live in she should be ok. It'll be secondary schools which will be the nightmare. I know its a long way off yet but at the moment the non grammar schools in our area are terrible. Sure they'll sort it by the time we need them, they have 8 years,LOL!!

Anyway dd will be super intelligent and go to a grammar so shouldn't have to worry

Eddas · 12/04/2007 23:52

x-posted, erm think its about half hour drive. I've never been there though and dh is not the best with directions, lol so not convinced we'd get there!!!

octo · 12/04/2007 23:55

Google map it!

I am going to Royal United Hosp in Bath - takes about 1/2 hour (15 mins mega fast) - went into Bath earlier with the boys and noticed the road we would normally go down is shut ...

octo · 12/04/2007 23:56

If you need a giggle - go have a look at the thread in chat: most embarassing moment - one about horse made me chuckle!

Eddas · 12/04/2007 23:58

Oh dear, alternative route needed asap then!

I should put my trust in dh to find it be he is seriously the worst ever, ever direction giver in the world! His 'short' cuts are legendary bless him!

I think i will check out to see where it is, can't be too hard to find and hospitals are normally sign posted.

octo · 13/04/2007 00:04

Have contractions started yet???

I get the feeling me and dh are going to have a falling out on way to hosp already LOL

Eddas · 13/04/2007 00:05

Just had a quick look

Am going off now to try and get some rest. Got to ring hosiptal in half hour so will sit downstairs til then. Then if i don't have to go in i will go back to bed, wrapped in a towel

octo · 13/04/2007 00:06

Night night - am off to bed too - good luck

Eddas · 13/04/2007 00:07

No, no contractions, just pink coloured waters which are leaking. Wasn't even gonna ring hospital but wasn't sure if pink is ok. mw didn't seem bothered.

This baby is moving a lot though, ouch

Ok, maybe that was my first contraction. certainly made me stop and say ouch

Never thought i'd be typing my way through early labour, lol. MN has ruined my rl!!!!

Eddas · 13/04/2007 00:08

Thanks octo x

EllieKthePA · 13/04/2007 04:32
