i know it doesn't quite rhyme but it does nearly, and it's completely inoffensive to everyone but Eddas

Ange, thanks for the update re Smole. My thoughts are with her - what a rough ride.

Eddas, pmsl at the thought of dh having a rummage "up there"! Good luck for the 12th - my dh's birthday!

CB, I like the name Laura - and there aren't that many around now. I suppose it depends on what your surname is. Can't believe your dh has to go back to the UK so soon. How long will he be gone for?

octo · 09/04/2007 13:57

Sorry the sweep didn;t work eddas

Sending you and Claricbean string labour vibes .... .... come on!

Has anyone actually put their car seat and hospital bag in the car????? or is it in the house on standby?

eca · 09/04/2007 13:58

hey loves!

Girt!! Woweee!!!! What a fast labour! Well done you! Glad all's well and you're all ok. Must say, I would die if my bro had to catch the baby. !!

Smole - lots of love and prayers for you and baby Jesse xxx

Ange - You're pic's of Isobelle are beautiful. I especially thought the one of her by herself with a mw's hand on her was one of those really special ones that capture a moment. Amazing x

Eddas ! Can't believe baby was engaged and now not! Good news about the induction date though.

CB - so how long do they let you go over in spain before induction??

Hi to everyone else! xx

Katy44 · 09/04/2007 13:58

Oh smole
Love to you and Jesse and your family, hope you have him home soon xxx

octo · 09/04/2007 13:58

CB I like the name Lauren more than laura - just a thought

Pesha · 09/04/2007 14:00

Hi cb - laura is nice although prefer the other names you suggested.

We are completely stuck for names. Afew months ago it was betwen finlay or dylan but finlay seems to be very much a 'name of the moment' around here. Not sure it is nationally but I know lots all of a sudden so has put me off that. And although I really like dylan Im just not um comfortable with it if that makes any sense. And dp seems to be going off it slightly. He now likes maxwell but i dont really. And thats it, we have nothing! So any suggestions gratefully appreciated We have Maia (only pronounced MAYa) and Nathan and surname is Stewart.

Has anyone else put on lots of weight all of a sudden? Im 39 weeks today and seem to have put on 4or5lb in last week or two and bump has got huge all of a sudden. Dont remember doing this before at all and getting abit scared now!

claricebean · 09/04/2007 14:03

eca - I don't know how long they let you go over because I've never gone past my due date before so never discussed it with obstetrician. I have an appt with him on Wednesday, so guess we'll talk about it then.

Octo - I prefer Lauren too, but our surname starts with a 'n' so I think the 'en' ending would get lost and everyone would be confused, LOL.

SOSPL - DH has 9 more days to do in the UK, then he's done. He's desperate to get it over with (as am I) and we thought number four would've put in an appearance by now so it's all booked up. AAAAAHHHHHHHH. My dad is coming out to help with the other 3 (but don't want him as a birthing partner - too freaky!).

claricebean · 09/04/2007 14:05

Pesha - x post. DS is Dylan Eliot and I still love it. I know what you mean about sometimes going off a name though. Weird isn't it. I guess in the end they grow into them and you can't imagine them being anything else.

eca · 09/04/2007 14:07

CB - oh dear! Here's hoping for some action for you asap!! The last thing you need is your dad helping in labour!!! Is there no way dh can change the trip????

muminamassivetummy · 09/04/2007 14:09

Wow Congratulations Gwe!!!
Fantastic news.

Thinking of you smole, dh and little Jesse - hope the wee man picks up soon.

Can't remember anything else - still feel like crap, had a bath....ankles seem a bit puffy today too....

Just get the bugger OUT!!!!!!
x

eca · 09/04/2007 14:11

pesha - don't know about how much weight i've put on (don't go near the scales!!) but I'm definately feeling really heavy over the last week. My knees and hips are really aching, esp if I get tired.

Pesha · 09/04/2007 14:14

CB - Ive always really liked Dylan but i find when people ask what names we've thought of Im abit reluctant to say it, somehow it just doesnt feel right IYKWIM but when dp was set on it I was happy to go with it but now he's saying it doesnt feel right either. Think his family might have alot to do with that actually
Oh well dont expect a name announcement at the same time as a birth announcement from me!

Katy44 · 09/04/2007 14:16

eca - my knees really hurt as well, especially at night (think it's just cos I can't fidget as much to relieve it)

Pesha · 09/04/2007 14:18

Baby had hiccups the other day and dp could see it from the other side of the room, I said thats big hiccups for a little baby. He said thats cos its not a little baby!

My spd has been getting really bad and I find now even if i get the chance of a lie in I cant take advantage of it cos my hips really ache after a night of lying on them and I just have to get up.

weeonion · 09/04/2007 14:26

congrats to girlwasp fab news for the begining of teh week.

smole - hope jesse improves - must be a worryingtime for you. xoxoxooxox

pesha - poor you and sore hips - its so hard to find the right way to kip. my hips are murder - apparently i whimper all through the night. cant sleep on my back, cant sleep propped up, cant sleep on hips. ah well - not long to go now!

cant quite belive all these quick births - where are the 48 hr labours??
my nct group - 4/6 have all had had boys. 2 sections - and the other 2 were both 3 hrs long for first timers. gulp - lets hope it continues for the remaining 2!

runnyhabbit · 09/04/2007 14:42

Smole - thinking of you all x

CB - lol at your dad being your birthing partner. Although tbh, I think dads can come into their own when their really needed Ruby is currently top of our girls list - we have good taste

Eddas - sorry the sweep didn't work, but at least you've got an induction date.

Pesha - I've put on about 6lb in the past week. A grand total of 3 stone throughout the whole pregnancy

Going to see if I can have a bit of lie down. Still feeling a bit weird.

Katy44 · 09/04/2007 14:49

Oh I missed that (about Eddas's sweep). Glad you have your induction on the 12th, but hoping you won't need it

Pesha · 09/04/2007 14:50

RH - I am now edging towards 3 stone very quickly. Only put on 2 stone in last pg if that.

Glad Im not the only one though

nellyhel · 09/04/2007 14:55

Congratulations to the new arrivals, lovely to hear news and see pictures to keep me motivated. Hoping not to be quite so fast waspelly, does it not feel odd for nine months buid up to be over so quick??
Hope you are all coping smole and Jesse is ok.

hlm - I was late with second after being a couple days early with first. Those three days were the longest of my life. Only plus point is I think I coping better with last few days this time, instead of focussing so much on due date (Friday). Labour was quicker and easier though, lot less pushing !

cb- I like Laura - it is my middle name! Think it can be quite serious though (or maybe that's just dd's friend), maybe have something quite girlie IYKWIM for a middle name? Just a thought.

For boys names, dh has finally accepted that we are going with Fraser (he failed to come up with anything else decent). It was the name we had picked for dd if she was a boy, but had gone off it totally for ds. It is funny how that happens!

My bump is also so heavy now and I can't lift anything or put my weight to one side cos of spd too. I hate those leg and hip pains too, mine seem to be really deep and nothing shifts them except getting up. And hopefully giving birth - soon!!

Eddas - at least the end is in sight!

Hello to everyone else I have missed - I did try to remember the posts as I read today!

Pesha · 09/04/2007 14:55

Just got a big road map carpet thingy off freecycle for the boys room. Its great and should cover up most of the lilac carpet thats in there! But it stinks! Had hung it over fence outside to air abit and sprayed it with febreze but dd has just dragged it into the house. God knows what she was thinking, shes old enough to know she should have asked (she's 6.6) and so now the whole downstairs stinks and its making me feel sick. Really with her eventhough its not really that bad but so fed up with her behaviour at mo and really really running out of patience.

nellyhel · 09/04/2007 15:05

Pesha - that's why we are now in front of a DVD, everyone no patience and arguing this morning so figured time for a rest and I could catch up on mn!! My dd is almost 6 and it is even more frustrating when you expect better I think. I am too grumpy and lazy today really...

Pesha · 09/04/2007 15:08

Do we know where Ellie is today? Its not like her to have not been on at all by now and it is her due date today

Pesha · 09/04/2007 15:12

Yeah bad behaviour from the 3 year old I can take but with her she should know by now!!! We also got a couple of hot wheels tracks off freecycle so ds is happy with that but think she's bored. Im just too tired and achey and grumpy to do anything with her though and dps got football, again

hensden · 09/04/2007 15:18

GWE - congratulations on your speedy little one

SMOLE - thinking of you, hope Jesse is better soon, love to all your family

EDDAS - Sorry your sweep didn't happen, but not long 'til 12th

CD - hope you had a relaxing time at the beach, you lucky thing

Welcome - WhyWhyWhy

You're all coming up with such lovely names and we're just hopeless, want inspiration??

Not much going on here, no signs of labour, did wake up last night laying on my belly again, bump doesn't seem to mind??

Take care all

Tili · 09/04/2007 15:23
