i know it doesn't quite rhyme but it does nearly, and it's completely inoffensive to everyone but Eddas

Runny - how did she know Justin was talking to you? That is so funny .

Eddas - good luck for the sweep. Got me going last time, so you never know....

zazas · 09/04/2007 09:10

Morning ladies. Didn't read all the men talk last night but for my two pence - like the rugby shape butt and thighs too - luckily DP has exactly that - hmmm

Anyway I want to join with the rest of you who are having restless nights, pains that lead nowhere, clear outs and a general feeling of yuck! All I can think is that it can't go on for much longer - can it?????

My DC's are with their Dad for a couple of days and my 5 year old DS rang me at 8am to ask if I had the baby last night - so sweet! Every morning they have been rushing into our bedroom and going "is the baby here?" I think they are as impatient as me.

Feel more energised today (nesting?) so will have a good clean up - hope you all have a good day too.

Sorry I keep forgetting to wave back to CaptainDippy

LesleyR · 09/04/2007 09:12

Morning all

You were a frisky bunch last night with your man talk

Good luck with sweep Eddas. Hope it gets things going.

My sympathies to all who are struggling with sleep. I had my first fairly restful night in about a week. Think exhaustion took over!

MIAMT - sounds like thing might be happening for you today. Fingers crossed.

Welcome Whywhywhy. Sorry for not saying this earlier, not been on much.

Due today, but don't think anything is going to happen for a while. I've been having niggly pains since Wednesday but they don't seem to be leading to anything.

Going to spend whole day with DH, think he's got a BIG walk planned and a nice lunch out.
Will catch up later.

Have a good day everyone

runnyhabbit · 09/04/2007 09:12

Do you think its possible to sneeze the baby out?
Just sneezed so hard, it really hurt, but swear I felt something move lol

doghouse · 09/04/2007 09:25

Morning everyone
There seems to be a bit of a theme now ... overdue, increasingly uncomfortable - can I join the club. Am a week overdue tomorrow and I know it isn't a long time in the scheme of things but just want to not be pg and meet this LO. DH and I have even started called it our 'imaginary friend'!

Congrats Smole. Lovely pics of Isobelle too (love that name). Hope you are feeling OK CD and hello to everyone else ... sorry, not to be more personal but it is exhausting just trying to keep up with you lot!

enjoy the sunshine - not too long to go for us all now xx

charNbump · 09/04/2007 09:26

i had a dream i sneezed and baby came out the other day....so lets hope so runnyhabbit! ha ha x

Mumcab · 09/04/2007 09:29

Morning all, Eddas would love to know how it goes with your sweep, i am having one tommorow and a bit apprehensive about it all. D day was yesterday and despite lots of contractions and discomfort, sleepless nights, no sign yet. Finally setled on name that dh and dd and ds agree on...Maia Grace, yes we are having a girl. Maia (pronounced MYA)

runnyhabbit · 09/04/2007 09:33

argghhh - really annoyed
Just going to download photos from camera to pc, and can't find the lead Thing is, memory card is nearly full because it hasn't been downloaded, so might not have enough room for new baby photos
Have blamed dh seeing as I knew where it was before he moved the pc. Since he's moved it, I can't find anything.
Tbh, I blame everything on dh atm

runnyhabbit · 09/04/2007 09:35

mumcab - lovely name Think we've decided on Ruby Kate (if it's a girl)

runnyhabbit · 09/04/2007 09:35

maybe I should try and find this lead, instead of being on MN

Mumcab · 09/04/2007 09:36

Runnyhabit -I know exactly what you mean, I don't mean to be horrible but at the moment my dh is really getting on my nerves. Don't stress about it. your lead will turn up.

Mumcab · 09/04/2007 09:38

Runnyhabbit, we considered Ruby, a lovely name but kids were more agreed on Maia, and kate is very classic. i prefer names that can't be shortened

Katy44 · 09/04/2007 09:42

runny - how old is your computer?
Our laptop has a hole where you can put the SD card from the camera directly in, instead of using the lead.
Just thought it was worth checking

Katy44 · 09/04/2007 09:43

Our laptop's about 18months BTW, so I think if yours is about the same or newer it might have one

CaptainDippy · 09/04/2007 10:34

Hello people!

Lovely name mumcab! We think this one will be Florence Joan Elizabeth if it is a girl ..... (Joan was DH's mum's name ad think it sounds better that way round rather than Florence elizabeth Joan.....)

MW was fine - DD1 was soooo sweet - the MW gave her the job of "waking baby up" so she could get a clear heartbeat on the Doppler - DD1 enjoyed poking me and shouting: "Baby! Baby! Wake Up!!" Bless. Anyway - all is ok - lost 2cm on fundal height in the last 5 days apparentely. Yeah right - soooo arbitary .... Anyway, MW said baby's head was completely engaged and that she didn't think it would be long ...... Have to admit, I take everything MW's say with a v.generous pinch of salt - I am sure I could go and see another this afternoon and they would say the baby was nowhere near engaged - Would be nice to believe that arrival was imminent though!

Hope bubs comes soon for you Doghosue -no nice to be overdue, but they will come when they are ready .....

Come on babies!!!!!

Hoep you all have fabby Bank Holidays ....

Katy44 · 09/04/2007 11:16

Glad your baby is fully engaged CD.
LOL at your DD shouting "Wake up!"

Eddas · 09/04/2007 11:20

Just checking back in, glad there's no more babies!!!!

No sign of mw yet. I am so impatient, kinda glad she hasn't given me a time though. But it will drive me mad to wait til 5 so hope she's here soon. Just want it over with. God i'm nervous, bloody pathetic really!! Right need to keep my mind off of it. What can I do? Have tidied dd's room. Could clean some more baby toys. Could clean the oven. Could iron. Ooo must put washing on.

So does my day sound exciting??!! cleaning/ironing and an invasive internal sweep, nice

octo · 09/04/2007 11:25

Morning all - had decent night sleep and feel much better today

DH taken boys out so have about 3 horus to myself - was going to to download all my pics and clear memory card too - but it is on glovebox of car dh has taken!

Have a few other jobs need to get done - sorting cupboards, ironing etc but think will just sit in garden with cup of tea and have another bath. Think will leave ironing for my mum when go into hospital I do need to make a cake to take to a friends tomorrow but may do that with the boys later.

Happy due date to whywhywhy and ellikeK and big labour vibes to all those overdue.

I am trying to think of a good answer machine message for this week - any ideas most welcome!!

octo · 09/04/2007 11:28

eddas - I went for a sweep with ds2 but my cervix was still to far back and not dilated at all - was really disappointing - think I was a week over and was hit with the reaslisation it could have been another week off - but was only another 3 days - I am not really planning on going for a sweep this time - too uncomfortable tbh.

Hope yours works and we have an Easter baby!

octo · 09/04/2007 11:29

And ... I think its odds on for sospl and cd by tuesday night

Katy44 · 09/04/2007 11:31

Eddas - I didn't realise you didn't have a time, hope you're not waiting too long x

CaptainDippy · 09/04/2007 11:37

I hope so octo - getting really restless atm - horrid feeling.

Both DD's asleep!!! So DH and I talking etc - Is nice - wouldb e nicer if I knew the whole day was going to be like this ..... .... Grrrrr! Don't get me started .....

Hope MW comes soon Eddas hon!

BTW, my DH says that you can get a 'Universal Card Reader' from www.7dayshop.com for £3.79+P&P to solve all your memory card/photograph problems!

....and he typed it all by himself, bless him!

Tili · 09/04/2007 11:46

Morning

Congrats to smole and family.Lovely name Jesse.hope you are all well.

Ange G what beautiful pics your Ds looks so proud bless xx

Good luck to Eddas hope it goes well

So I take it we are all feeling quite uncomfortable then? I know I am.

Had horrendous back pain last night which started to move to my front was wondering if it was the start of things but I soon managed to fall asleep tbh I could of slept on a clothes line last night was so tired I had the family over for lunch really took it out of me but it was a lovely day.

Today my back is slightly achey but nothing much Dh is on pins he starts his hols next monday so is hoping that nothing happens until then, but seeing as Im 38 wks tomorrow for me the sooner the better

Anyway better go see what we have to eat.
Will pop back later xxx

runnyhabbit · 09/04/2007 11:48

Thanks for all your tips on the photos/memory card thing.
CD - will be ordering one those thingys, but have still told dh to pull his finger out and find the lead And great news about being fully engaged. Although will not be happy if you go before me

Glad I'm not the only one feeling restless. In a bit of a strange mood today Dh keeps asking me what needs to be done around the house, and why don't I put my feet up. Ashamed to say that I've just bitten his head off because he wasn't hanging washing on the line the same way as me
Think I need to get a grip, or have a baby soon...

CaptainDippy · 09/04/2007 12:02

Feel exactly the same runny - only I don't get the "put your feet up" line!!

Need to go and pack picnic as we're off to the beach .....
