We're pretty early but thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is here already.

I'm 4+1, apparently due around 2 May. Would be great to have some company :). Already obsessing over every little thing. The next 8 weeks are going to drag!

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and this is when I started bleeding with my miscarriage so seeing this as a little milestone! Hoping my scan on Sunday comes round quickly!!

How is everyone feeling? My nausea has ramped up considerably but am only being sick after tea on an evening and I think that because I'm eating bigger meals then.

Hairgician · 18/09/2017 08:23

I seem to vomit in morning then not too bad during day then evening it ramps up again. Still need anti sickness tablets though.

Hurraahhnaptime · 18/09/2017 08:46

Hi, can I join? I'm found out I was pregnant on Saturday. I had been having negative test for about a week. So I'm 5 weeks today. Due 21st May. My partner was away and I just told him this morning. He is really pleased. This is baby number 2. I'm generally scared and excited all mixed up!

Poppy012 · 18/09/2017 09:00

I have my midwife appointment today so will be asking her about my spotting as it is still going on 2 weeks later it's really getting me down now Sad I'm 8 weeks tomorrow!

Dorotha · 18/09/2017 09:16

I really incapacitated by the sickness even though I'm not throwing up (yet). But it's always there along with exhaustion.

Hairgician · 18/09/2017 09:31

The nausea is the pits . And tiredness makes it worse. I'm just sat now after taking anti sickness tablet and eating sausage rolls. So healthy!! I find I need to eat when I take them. Esp the first one in morning.

readysetcake · 18/09/2017 09:36

Hi hurrah I'm due 21st too. I haven't had much sickness which is worrying as I was really sick with my first. But I know the second pregnancy can be different. Just keeping fingers and toes crossed.

I'm having an ultrasound on my kidneys soon. Wonder if they will swing it round the front and have a little peek if I ask nicely?!

PhoenixDown · 18/09/2017 09:41

I swear I feel worse every day! No vomiting but the constant queasy feeling, and the exhaustion is just ridiculous. In bed by 9pm every night. Just dropped DD at school, got some bits from supermarket and I'm about to crawl back into bed again. Try and get as much sleep as possible before my night shift.

@MooChops89 I'm going to have to tell mine soon even though I'm only 5 weeks. I'm so obviously shattered and not right I think I might as well get it out of the way. I've just rotated to a new area too so not looking forward to it really :/

PhoenixDown · 18/09/2017 09:42

I've just realised I'm not even 5 weeks yet, if go off when I think I ovulated. I'm 4+5. HOW do I feel so bloody horrendous already??

readysetcake · 18/09/2017 09:45

Twins, phoenix?! Grin

PhoenixDown · 18/09/2017 09:54

Haha don't even go there! I'm thinking (hoping??) it's just my stressful job and having a child to look after too this time around. Grin

LadyPug · 18/09/2017 09:59

Hi naptime and welcome! We're due date twins!

MegsMog · 18/09/2017 10:23

Hi all. Have just had a scan & still in limbo - by my dates I should be around 7 weeks but embryo is measuring 6+2. Heartbeat seen which is good but need to go back in two weeks to see how everything is looking. I am pretty certain of my dates and given I got a positive pregnancy test fewer than 10 days after conceiving I struggle to see how I could be that far behind, but the sonographer did say that at this stage the measurements are so tiny that error margin is big.

Feel a bit bad as we had a scan at same gestation with DD, and DH and I were both over the moon with her tiny heartbeat etc, whereas this time I don't really feel much at all...

MrsF10917 · 18/09/2017 10:27

Hi Everyone,

I am 4 weeks and 6 days and feeling slightly overwhelmed, I go between crazy excited wanting to tell all our happy news and mega nervous about reaching that vital 12 weeks stage. I am in the process of booking an early 6 week scan as still cannot quite believe this is real!

Is anyone still regularly exercising? Prior to discovering I was expecting I exercised 4 times a week doing High Intensity Training, I have been doing a little bit here and there but worry I could cause damage so being super cautious.

I also have really nasty constipation, i went to the pharmacy who gave me a liquid type solution but read up on it (dammm google) and mixed views on how safe it is so now just eating as much fruit as i can manage. Anyone else experiencing this?

Huge congrats to everyone xx

MotherOfBoy · 18/09/2017 10:42

MrsF exercise is fine in pregnancy as long as you don't start something new. So if you are used to doing HIT 4 times a week you can continue todo so if you feel ok. The issue is with suddenly increasing activity that your body isn't already used to.

Re constipation I had awful constipation in pregnancy with DS. Lactulose is absolutely safe in pregnancy so you can use that I think I had 15ml twice a day or something. Plus drinking lots of water.

PocketNiffler · 18/09/2017 11:06

MrsF - I'm 4 weeks 6 days too! Prune juice is another natural bowel remedy.

MrsF10917 · 18/09/2017 11:15

Thank you MotherofBoy, will certainly keep up the exercise as guessing it can only be a good thing but avoid abs work. Did the constipation last throughout your full pregnancy? Lactulose is what they have given me but going to wait a few more days and increase water and fiber intake and cross my fingers for the best!

PocketNiffler congrats on your exciting news! How are you feeling? do you have any early symptoms?

MotherOfBoy · 18/09/2017 11:26

mrsf yes and no. I was iron deficient anaemic during pregnancy so had to take iron tablets which made it loads worse. So I stopped them and then had an iron infusion via a drop instead and don't remember having constipation after that! May be the iron in your vitamin tablets that is making it worse too. Shouldn't last forever tho it's just body getting used to hormone changes. As I remember! 🤞

HerSymphonyAndSong · 18/09/2017 12:19

Have found a sports bra that can accommodate sore comedy-sized breasts, so have been able to do a bit of running again

willisurvive2under2 · 18/09/2017 12:20

6 weeks tomorrow and sickness has well and truly started. So far this pregnancy is a mirror image of my previous one - I remember sickness starting on the same day as I was at a Christmas party and had to make my excuses. Being in the car makes my sickness so much worse - not easy as we live in the middle of nowhere. I phoned my midwife from last time but she was doing a home birth and said she'd call me back... fair enough Grin

BagelDog · 18/09/2017 12:24

Can I join in? 5+6 so due mid May, pregnancy number seven, hopefully baby number four. Feeling incredibly tired just like previous times, but also so so queasy which is new... such fun! Have an early scan this week as previous ectopic so I can check there is only one in there!

Good luck all xx

PocketNiffler · 18/09/2017 12:49

I real symptoms here, just feeling tired to the point of hungover. Slightly worried my boobs aren't sore as that was my main symptom last time around! Hoping that breastfeeding for two years has just set them up well so they're being a bit lazy.

mrscordy · 18/09/2017 15:33

I haven't been vomiting but wish I could, surely then it might feel better for a bit... Like when you are really hungover?! By my googling it tends to get better by 12 weeks, so fingers crossed!

AlexsMum89 · 18/09/2017 15:41

I feel that I'm in the right place with all you nauseous ladies. I'm not doing very well, it's mostly horribly intense nausea but today I've been throwing up, but only bile appears (sorry TMI).

It completely floored me Thurs and Fri, and I've gone all out with as much ginger as I can find and the travel bands which does seem to have improved things a bit but I've still spent a lot of time in the loos at work today. I'm around 6 weeks so I've got a long time to go to get past this!

AlexsMum89 · 18/09/2017 15:48

@motherofboy I just read your comment about feeling your first come out of you. I did too, it was like a big slippery fish hahahahaha.
I had to have forceps last time and an episiotomy, but I'm hoping I still class as low risk. I have my booking in appt next week so I'll ask about it then.
