We're pretty early but thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is here already.

I'm 4+1, apparently due around 2 May. Would be great to have some company :). Already obsessing over every little thing. The next 8 weeks are going to drag!

So sorry Holdtight and Filly. I really feel for you both.

I mc last month, so I am petrified. But on the plus side... I got preggers straight away! So I think there might be truth in the "super fertile after mc" thing. I know that doesn't stop it hurting like hell though xxx

Piglet, good luck. Pls keep us posted and good luck.

Thanks other ladies, that's eased my mind somewhat. My mum said she never got sick, main symptom was killer nipples!

katiegd · 15/09/2017 23:45

Hi all, am so behind on the thread as I've been just trying not to dwell on the pregnancy too much and reduce anxiety - feels like I can't get too excited about anything at this stage. Wanted to check in though especially as a few are going through tough times.

Holdtight and filly - so sorry to hear what you're going through. Filly - I really feel for you being stuck at a party with that going on. I hope that you've managed to get out of there now.

I hope others are ok. I'd not quite anticipated that the first 12 weeks would be so damn tough and anxiety-filled.

I'm tentatively joining- only just found out so it feels a bit early to be confident...

LadyPug · 16/09/2017 08:22

The second trimester is much better katie hang on in there!

Welcome timeisnotaline

Kirstipops · 16/09/2017 08:38

Yes I agree Ladypug, the second semester is great, esp feeling those first little buzzy bubbly feelings of your little one wriggling around Smile

6+0 here and the morning sickness started a few days ago. It's funny but I wasn't expecting it to come on in the morning. After hearing so many people say "why do they call it morning sickness, it should be called all day sickness" etc, getting woken up by nausea at 5-6am really took me by suprise. It lasts the whole day but is the worst in the morning.

It's bearable and only one vomit so far but I'm scared because I ve read 7-8 weeks is the worst. I dont want it to get worse!

Kirstipops · 16/09/2017 09:29

Could be different for everyone but when morning sickness started for me it didn't ever get worse as such, it just stayed on the same level til it subsided iyswim? It was worse in the morning for me, but almost immediately better once I'd eaten something.

readysetcake · 16/09/2017 09:46

I was the same last time kirstipops, it peaked around 6 weeks then just stayed the same until 12 weeks. It dropped off just before my scan which sent me into a panic. But once I knew everything was ok I felt lucky as I know some ladies who felt sick the whole 9 months.

Hello timeisnotaline, welcome Smile

Lindyj0 · 16/09/2017 10:18

Sorry to hear about the sad losses in the group yesterday, hope everybody is ok. Despite the sadness I find this group a constant source of support as I haven't told anyone yet (other than DP) so it's nice to have somewhere to come and chat and catch up with others who are at a similar stage. I'm 43 and this is my first (other than 1 mc), I'm pretty scared by the mc statistics for women in their 40's. I'm thinking of telling my Mum soon so I've got someone to talk to.

PocketNiffler · 16/09/2017 10:52

Tentatively joining in! Due May 22nd with second baby. But feel very aware that so much could go wrong! Feeling tired and a bit iffy.

Dorotha · 16/09/2017 10:59

Last time my sickness lasted until 18 weeks. I'm not looking forward to 3 months of this. All I can eat at the moment are my son's suckie yoghurt pouches.. so sick and tired.

Dorotha · 16/09/2017 11:00

Oh and I had my eyes tested so for the first time someone (who's not my husband) knows. Feels weird! :)

smu06set · 16/09/2017 11:23

Sorry to those who have had losses the past two days :(
I'm trying to be positive but I have literally no symptoms so I'm constantly worried something is wrong...

MammaBear18 · 16/09/2017 11:49

Welcome timeisnotaline and PocketNiffler

My sickness kicked it at 6+5 and first barf came last night bang on week 7 Grin although I spent all time prior to that worrying whether it was going to kick in at all! Today I spent the whole night dreaming I had HG - you can't win!

JuniUmiZoomi · 16/09/2017 12:53

Oh gosh so very sorry for the worries and losses here yesterday. Sending lots of love to those who need it. A couple of my friends had recurrent mc and went to the clinic at Coventry. They both now have children after some medication in the first tri. I'm happy to pass the info on though appreciate it's hard to think about.

MooChops89 · 16/09/2017 13:14

So sorry for the losses Sad Flowers
I've been sick this morning, feeling constantly nauseous and occasionally something will trigger me to be sick. Today it was because one of the kittens did a really smelly poo in their tray 😷 also struggling with waking up at stupid hours and not getting back to sleep. DH got in at 2am from a work night out and I was lying there fuming coz he was snoring away and heaving coz he was farting in his sleep. Between him and the cats I've got no chance 😂

NancyNoo32 · 16/09/2017 14:12

Hi, also tentatively joining. Am 5 weeks tomorrow and due 20th May. Conceived 1st cycle this time round (it took awhile for DD to come along so completely in shock). Had terrible morning sickness last time and (all being well) feel like it's looming in the not so distant future! Finding the thought of doing it all over again very overwhelming!

LadyPug · 16/09/2017 14:23

Welcome newbies! moochop I'm sure you know this but don't get too close to cat poo!

LadyPug · 16/09/2017 14:24

Hi Nancy, I'm due the day after you and also only took the once whereas with DD took months so major shock! No symptoms yet apart from back pain and period cramps which makes me a bit nervous!

katiegd · 16/09/2017 15:50

Welcome newbies!

I am panicking today. Am 7+5 and having brown discharge again and pregnancy symptoms have receded. Not much nausea at all and boobs much less painful.

I know the likelihood is that it's nothing to worry about and I just need to wait for a few days, but I can't focus on anything else today. Urgh.

OP posts:
piglet81 · 16/09/2017 16:18

It's really hard to focus when you're worried, katie. Fingers crossed for you. Brown is old blood, so less of a worry...

Unfortunately I'm out - have had cramps all day and now bleeding properly. And I'd just got my scan appointment letter in the post! Wishing you all lots of luck for the next 8 months. May is a lovely time for a baby Smile

MegsMog · 16/09/2017 16:45

So sorry piglet. I've been there before with the scan letters, it's very upsetting Sad

Take care of yourself xx

MegsMog · 16/09/2017 16:46

filly hope you're ok too xx

LadyPug · 16/09/2017 16:55

So sorry to hear this piglet :-( thinking of you and hope you're taking it easy!

Jaronior · 16/09/2017 17:01

@piglet81 I'm absolutely gutted for you. I completely know how you feel Sad sending hugs xxx
