Hi All, Another lucky ttc #2 September grad. Faint bfp yesterday and stronger today, 1 day before af was due. My due date would be 31st May going by 1st day of period but I ovulated late so I think it will actually be 2nd June. I'm too nervous to set up a June bus yet, can I hang out here for a bit?
My local MLU was so amazing I wanted to 'check in' at 34 weeks. Mood lighting, pool in every room, double bed, ribbon/ropes from the ceiling to pull on when pushing, birthing chair. Just lovely. Sadly not meant to be as I went 15 days over, induced and ended in EMCS but it really wasn't that bad, DC1 was HUGE so I'd automatically be consultant led this time even without the EMCS. I actually want another CS if I can. 24 hours of labour and dc1 head never engaged, I'm very narrow and to quote the consultant afterwards 'you would never have got it out'.
For those with birth trauma, I did a daisy birthing course, a lot of women there went after a difficult first time and it really helped them. I can't even remember what book I read first time around but the 'how to grow a baby and push it out' is written by a very funny NHS midwife and apparently lays everything out honestly.
Not even 4 weeks yet and I already feel so sick, with DC1 I had about 6 weeks when I felt great (wks 14-20) and other than that felt sick all day every day despite never actually vomiting. Travel sickness bands were my lifesaver, still have them tucked away so will be getting them out soon.
