We've had lovely weather too all weekend had a day out today at the beach and it was 25 degrees. I'm 12 weeks today and look at least 4 months I was quite big to start with though so I think Fat has been pushed up that's how it seems anyway. I had lost 2 stone when I fell pregnant so was just getting a flatter tummy now it looks huge again. Scan tomorrow at 3.10pm looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measure. Good luck to all other scans x

Jacqueje · 28/08/2017 17:14

Oh, also (rant warning) we told my MIL this weekend, which was the biggest anticlimax ever.
She's the first family member we've told as DH v. close to her. But turns out my SIL, who I thought may have sussed me by the not drinking but who I hope would at least be a bit tactful, has been talking to her Mum that she thinks I'm pregnant. So MIL's reaction was "I already knew". After that she said it was lovely news etc etc, but no surprise there, which pissed us both off as had been looking forward to breaking the news ourselves.
She's a rubbish liar so we'd have known if she'd tried to pretend she didn't know but wish SIL could have maybe realised that we would want to break the news ourselves, as first baby for us, and will be first grandchild in the family too. So now feeling pissed off, maybe unreasonably, maybe due to the hormones...
Telling my parents next weekend which should be a surprise as haven't seen them since found out, so if they've figured it out they're either psychic or SIL is ringing round everyone!

I had my official booking appt this afternoon at home, it was my cue to go a bit mad cleaning and tidying, mainly because the house has been a bit neglected recently. I am absolutely exhausted now though, thank goodness we're at my in-laws now so we have help with the boys. Appt was fine, mentioned the sudden reduction in symptoms last week, midwife wasn't overly concerned and was lovely. I can't shift the niggly worry but will just have to hang on for my scan, which should be sometime next week, I'm 10+6 today.

@Sallywiththegoodhurr I haven't had any scans yet.

I'm also short ish at 5ft4, I'm feeling massive already, all the food and bloat. I can't wear anything that digs in to my tummy at all, so clothing choice is limited at the moment.

Onceuponamama · 28/08/2017 17:30

@Bluebell that's exciting 😀 I'm so nervous but can't wait at the same time!

I'm a middle girl I guess at 5ft 5! I'm in bigger trousers now as anything tight on my stomach makes morning sickness worse! Bought undies two sizes bigger and I'm mostly living in leggings now!

@Jacqueje it seems with baby news comes family politics! My granny 'out' law was so insensitive when I first saw her post baby news.... questioning why I didn't have a bump and making sure I knew I might not get to full term! It takes all sorts though I guess...

Good news hearing about the dating scans. Keeping everything crossed that I can join you girls on the other side soon!

scottishem · 28/08/2017 18:24

Oh lord @Jacqueje that sounds rubbish some people just don't seem to understand that no matter how much they suspect its not their news to tell!
To be honest I'm kind of dreading telling MIL as our relationship has been strained since xmas time when she kept over stepping the mark with rude comments so although I know shes going to be super excited I know the conversation will quickly turn to my job (which shes never supported), money blah blah blah.... rant over Grin

I was saying to my boyfriend the other day though that a part of me doesn't want to start telling people cuz I've just loved living in this little bubble with our secret that only we know

Jacqueje · 28/08/2017 19:42

Yes family politics always an issue, think my parents will be excited but will also probably get immediate questions about when we're moving etc.
@scottishem I know what you mean about the little bubble, MIL was sweet (eventually) and excited but also going on about how she will be able to take little "creature" to the beach and making plans just her and it which sort of made me want to ask exactly where we fitted in to these plans?!

ZylaB · 28/08/2017 19:58

Constant nausea seems to have been replaced with hormonal upset, I'm in floods of tears and I don't know why lol! Still knackered all the time though, this needs to get better!

mrskitty15 · 28/08/2017 20:03

Hello All, Is anyone else still struggling with Nausea? I will be 10 weeks on Wednesday and it is pretty much all day every day 🙁

ZylaB · 28/08/2017 20:58

Mines only just started easing a bit, still there when hungry or tired but not all day now. I'm 11 and a half weeks

lokelani · 28/08/2017 21:00

Mine is easing. Now I can eat a little more I seem to be managing it a bit better. But evenings are still bad. I'm 12+3.

Scoobygang7 · 28/08/2017 21:12

I haven't @Sallywiththegoodhurrr mines Wednesday

WiIdfire · 28/08/2017 21:30

Feefifoe - I'm 6ft too, you aren't alone. Wonder if you'll grow a big baby too?

Jacquije - my MIL was the same. 'I just knew', 'I could see it in your eyes', 'some people just know'. Thanks for deflating us there. Cheers.

My nausea actually got a lot worse from 11 to 13 weeks, am hoping it is starting to settle now though.

What is lovely is that I discovered my cousin is also pregnant - due almost the same day as me! How fabulous. Wonder if she is on here...?

Enariva · 28/08/2017 21:36

After being sick twice morning and night yesterday, and constant nausea for weeks, have been feeling almost normal today. I know it is too soon to hope it's over but still...

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 29/08/2017 02:24

Another one with no scans at all yet here!

Just been woken up with "mummy, I've wet the bed" for the second night in a row. So hacked off. Urrrrrgh.

ChaoticKate · 29/08/2017 05:12

@MrsKitty15 Hang in there! Mine eased massively during week 11 and if I remember correctly quite a few people started feeling a lot better around the same time. My midwife also said most people start feeling better about then. I'm nearly 13w now and feeling much more human.

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 29/08/2017 08:24

@Enariva my sickness stopped at 9 weeks, pretty much over night and was exactly the same with my other pregnancies. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Good luck to all those with scans still to come

OrangeCloud18 · 29/08/2017 08:54

I am nauseous 24/7 but have stopped vomiting. I am still on 3 tablets of medication a day though.
I have my scan this morning and am so anxious, I feel I am about to throw up x)

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 29/08/2017 09:00

I hope your scan goes well @OrangeCloud18, and you stop feeling so unwell soon!

blinkineckmum · 29/08/2017 09:47

No scan here yet either. I did another test yesterday as I have been symptomless so far and was so worried about getting to the scan to find nothing there. Still pregnant!
I can't remember why everyone was mentioning their height, but I'm 5'3" aswell. Nothing else to report. Scan next week. Can't wait. Hopefully all will be well and we can start sharing the news.

blinkineckmum · 29/08/2017 10:06

Best of luck OrangeCloud. Hope the sickness fades soon too.

ChaoticKate · 29/08/2017 10:33

Good luck @OrangeCloud18

whyhastherumgone · 29/08/2017 12:18

Good luck @orangecloud

My nausea seems to have got worse in the last couple of days - I'm 10 + 3 and was expecting to start feeling a lot better. It was just when I was hungry and tired before, but it's now whenever I eat as well, so can't win!
Like a sicky throat nausea more than stomach nausea if that makes sense? I've also had an upset stomach on and off since I got my BFP - it's all glamour isn't it? I have a sensitive stomach anyway and this just seems to have made it worse.

Still haven't got my 12 week scan date, going to give them a nudge this week if I haven't heard by Friday when I should be 11 weeks. I know as soon as I get the date I will be really anxious again though!

Hope everyone is going okay today - I like how many of us are around the same height :) My 'bump' seems to have gone down a bit so I'm assuming it's all bloat.

Got a really busy week this week and I am really struggling already and getting a bit panicky that I won't get it all done - I work for myself and have a load of outstanding invoices already so can't afford to slack but don't have anyone to delegate too and am feeling so so tired by the afternoons. Ah well, it will all be worth it :)

OrangeCloud18 · 29/08/2017 13:07

All well Grin Baby is healthy and comfortable, low risk for the syndroms and we have a very cheeky baby on our hands!
The sonographer really struggled to get all the measurements haha
New EDD 04/03

We are so relieved!

Doublegloucester · 29/08/2017 13:11

Great news orangecloud!

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 29/08/2017 14:04

Brilliant news @OrangeCloud18, so glad everything went well for you!
