Sounds like my toddler @NorthernBelly

I got those exact dreams when pregnant with her (it was following a mmc) and was advised it is actually a good sign of your hormone levels increasing. So no matter how horrid and realistic the nightmares are, hopefully you can get some comfort by knowing they are normal and also a good sign rather than a premonition.

hometownunicorn · 11/08/2017 11:26

@NorthernBelly I'm having really weird and vivid dreams and quite a few nightmares too. My OH isn't impressed that I keep waking up and telling him I've dreamt that I don't know who the father is (it's definitely him!). I've also had several dreams about bleeding, miscarrying or something going wrong which are very scary. Last night I dreamt we got a new puppy and some random woman was haranguing me for not being able to look after anything properly. I'm hoping it is just hormones.

Flatwhite31 · 11/08/2017 11:36

Hi everyone! No need to apologise @Excited1203, early pregnancy is hard!

Lovely to hear about everyone's toddlers! I've been looking after my 3.5 year old nephew who is (mostly!) lovely. He's grumpy when he's tired or hungry (or thinks people are ignoring him lol) but he's a real sweetie overall. He loves being outdoors at the park, so the improvement in weather has been welcomed!

Best of luck with your scan @FuzzyOwl. My 12 week scan is in 12 days and I'm so anxious already!

SheSaidHeSaid · 11/08/2017 15:10

I can't feel my fundus, but then I also have no idea what I'm doing and so just randomly poking my stomach.

Might also be because I'm only having the one baby and I'm 10+1 so too early for me.

Good luck with your scan Fuzzy.

FuzzyOwl · 11/08/2017 16:04

Thank you and scan today went well. Big relief!

ZylaB · 11/08/2017 16:55

Yay, so glad it went well @FuzzyOwl

justtheonethen · 11/08/2017 18:03

Yay!!!!

1000jobstodo · 11/08/2017 19:26

Tell us more Fuzzy! what date did they put you at?! Glad it all went well.

My dd is 3.2. After a lovely few months there's been some really difficult behaviour. Realised I've been reading her a story about a little girl who becomes a big sister- although I've not said anything directly to her, I think she's processing it.
Especially as after this evening's tantrum, I finally calmed her down and she said 'I don't want a baby brother to break my toys and take my things' Shock I'm not sure how she's at that conclusion from reading a story, but she's extremely perceptive. I just calmed her and said it was only a 'one day thing' and I would protect her favourite toys IF there were ever to be a baby in the house.
She melts my heart- to all of you p with your 1st- it really is the best thing in the world.

Have the headaches starting. Anyone else struggling with those?

Gallopingfeet · 11/08/2017 20:05

Northernbelly I'm also having horrible dreams and a dream I miscarried the other night I've never been so happy to wake up! I've got my 8 week private scan tomorrow so if everyone could keep there fingers crossed and good thoughts it would be very much appreciated :-)

SheSaidHeSaid · 11/08/2017 20:07

I had about 4 days of solid headaches 1000 which started Sunday and ended this Wednesday just gone. Couldn't shift them and the plain paracetamol wasn't doing much at all.

I've now got what I think might b round ligament pain. It's almost like a stitch in both my left and right lower abdomen/groin. Started in left but also right now and I feel like i need to hold myself when I cough otherwise it's quite painful. Having a like warm bath to try to give a bit of relief from I but not sure what else I can do.

Anyone else getting this or had it before?

whyhastherumgone · 11/08/2017 20:12

Yay @fuzzyowl I thought of you earlier.

Yes @1000jobstodo i've had a headache on and off for the last few days had to come and have a lie down this afternoon. i thought it might be dehydration but i've been drinking loads

I'm going to try and get a handle on my diet this week, going to try a few healthier options and see how i feel about them at the moment my diet is atrocious still. All my healthy mainstays i previously ate = really not appealing

Enariva · 11/08/2017 20:23

I was having some really vivid and violent dreams a few weeks ago. Definitely pregnancy/hormone induced but was also watching lots of Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Didn't help.

My nausea seems to have reduced but I've been getting the headaches instead. Sending happy, healthy thoughts everyone's way!

Excited1203 · 11/08/2017 20:34

Happy day @FuzzyOwl, congrats. What's your updated EDD?

Thanks @SheSaid, I've had that a couple of times, mostly rolling over too fast in bed and one time coughing (kind of coughing/retching). I was planning to Google or post here to figure out what the brief snapping feeling was. Round ligament pain. I'm pleased to see it's because the baby is growing, though it's meant to be felt from second trimester and I'm 9+4, so hopefully it's flexing early rather than being too stiff.

SheSaidHeSaid · 11/08/2017 20:35

I'm 10+1 Excited So we are kind of feeling it at the same stage. I guess it is just everything moving or creating space.

Excited1203 · 11/08/2017 20:43

We're very close in date @SheSaid, we'll see on our scan day the actual EDDs (it's you who is 25th, yes?)! I suspect (hope) that I might be a few days or even a week further along. I wasn't tracking my ovulation, but it's usually a week early and clearblue said 2-3 when I would have been 4+1.

SheSaidHeSaid · 11/08/2017 21:05

Yep! That's me. I wouldn't be surprised if my dates go back a bit but only because early scans had me a few days behind... time will tell!

FuzzyOwl · 11/08/2017 21:51

Thanks everyone and this wasn't my dating scan so have to wait for my EDD.

Flatwhite31 · 11/08/2017 22:19

I'm in agony this evening with this abscess Sad. It doesn't look that bad (yet!) but it's so painful. On antibiotics, and really hoping they'll kick in tomorrow. Sigh. Not ideal when ten weeks pregnant...

NorthernBelly · 11/08/2017 22:33

Thanks everyone for your pregnancy dream support - feeling loads better about it now. Going to give myself a little pep talk before bed tonight and hopefully I'll dream of something nicer tonight Smile

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 12/08/2017 08:29

Congrats on the scan, Fuzzy!

I've had a few very vivid dreams too, mostly about childbirth and dealing with a newborn, and none of them exactly pleasant Confused Pretty sure it's just that hormones + anxiety = weird or scary dreams. Horrible to go through though.

DancingUnicorn · 12/08/2017 08:38

Also with the vivid dreams. Dreamt I was taking my baby on the train, apart from when I looked into the carry cot there was no baby. Really hoping it was not some sort of premonition. It's horrible.

I'm just past 11 weeks now, and feeling worse each day. I think because I've had a busy week, but I'm unbelievably exhausted and feeling more nauseous this past week. Which is all fine if baby is still ok. But I've got more than a week to wait to find out.

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 12/08/2017 08:59

I had really vivid dreams when I was pregnant with my other DC. Always really weird/scary ones that I would remember, I'm not usually a big dreamer either

Minervamouse77 · 12/08/2017 09:15

I fell asleep really early last night with my phone in my hand reading all about your dreams and then had 3 nightmares about mc, really vivid and scary! Have woken up with a cracking headache this morning, second one this week. Going to have a relaxing day I think. Hope you all have a good day.

GWeatherwax · 12/08/2017 09:38

Hi all, nice to hear about all these positive scans.

I'm also having vivid and lots of lucid dreams! I didn't they would start until later in pregnancy.

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and apart from fatigue I'm feeling much more human this week and nausea has gone. Woke up at 2am with heartburn though!

NorthernBelly · 12/08/2017 10:17

Oh no, I'm sorry @Minervamouse77, hope you manage to have a nice relaxing day today
