That's great news Flatwhite. Pleased the doctor saw you so quickly, and hope the antibiotics kick in quickly Smile

1000jobstodo · 10/08/2017 17:22

Sorry, used 'quickly' twice. I'm tired and can't chase my toddler around anymore. Really struggling with pregnancy with a child already in tow!

NorthernBelly · 10/08/2017 17:32

@Flatwhite31, hope the antibiotics kick in quickly.
@1000jobstodo, I know how you feel. I took my toddler to see In the Night Garden Live this morning, then out for lunch. I've been lying on the sofa all afternoon absolutely exhausted while she entertains herself. Got no energy to go out to the shop to buy food for tea so had to ask OH to pick up some stuff on the way home from work. Urgh! Looking forward to bedtime!

hometownunicorn · 10/08/2017 18:06

@Flatwhite31 it's great you were able to get antibiotics so quickly, I hope they start working soon!

Those of you doing this with a toddler already are very impressive. I can't imagine how much harder it must be.

Has anyone else come out in spots? I'm a bit prone around my period usually and last time I was pregnant I had the most gigantic spot that took up half my face before I even got my BFP but I was really hoping I'd be lucky this time. Today I came out in a load or big red spots on my forehead. At least I can cover them with my fringe otherwise I'd be glowing in a very teenage sort of way.

SS81C · 10/08/2017 18:16

@100jobstodo I had a proper meltdown today because my toddler asked me for the eleven millionth time for another peach her request for which I had declined (her third in the space of an hour).....we'd been out all morning too (she's at that awkward age where even at toddler play you have to watch her like a hawk because she'll lob a truck at someone's head or jump off the slide) definitely feeling like a) a terrible mother and b) that I will never be able to cope with 2 today.
@northernbelly - what age do they start entertain themselves??? I usually get ten minutes peace before I'm being jumped on! Haha.
She was very cute when I cried though came and gave me a big hug and patted my back

1000jobstodo · 10/08/2017 19:07

@northernbelly I feel your pain. Sounds like a lovely morning for your toddler though. I made a lovely dinner then looked at it and thought Confused so just left it. I found it hard the first time of course because I'd never experienced tiredness like it, but I'm certainly finding it more challenging as I can't just sit and relax if I need to. My work days are my break days!

@SS81C yes I know what you mean about patience. Mine is wearing thin. Dd was awful yesterday, talking to me like dirt at times then screaming and asking for a cuddle the next. I cried in the evening when she had another massive tantrum as my dh works night shifts and I had failed miserably to keep her quiet. I don't think it does any major harm for them to see how their behaviour affects you every now and then! Today although there's been the odd answering back, it's been much better.

I too had the whole 'how will I cope with two' thought today!
My sick dog is getting better now though so that's good.

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 10/08/2017 19:17

SS81C, I'm starting to find dealing with DD harder at the moment - it's a combination of her going through a whiny, clingy phase, me feeling exhausted and shitty because of pregnancy, and the thought of trying to cope with whatever situation is happening while also having a newborn which frankly terrifies me . Altogether it results in me freaking out over things I wouldn't normally Blush

SS81C · 10/08/2017 19:17

@100jobstodo glad your dog is on the mend. Yeah my DH is on nights this week so we've been out of the house a lot too which hasn't helped with tiredness and I couldn't face it.....looked like a zombie when he got up and I felt awful because I hadn't tried hard enough so I totally get that. Glad you've had a better day today though

Drizz · 10/08/2017 19:20

How old are your toddlers? We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old in the house. The elder one is pretty amazing re: sometimes playing by himself (he adores his train tracks). Our little one tries to play by herself but when she disappears for more than three minutes it is time to investigate as she's very good at helping herself to any food she might discover, removing all the (plastic) dishes and bowls from the cupboard, emptying her brother's clothes closet etc....

SS81C · 10/08/2017 19:59

Mine is 23 months....in fairness she does occupyvherself really well when I'm doing something or helps but when I just wanna sit or lie on the sofa she feels the need to climb on me or shout 'mamma down' endlessly until I get odd the sofa and play on the floor.
She's very good really, if not a bit cheeky and definitely pushing boundaries, I've just had a bad day!

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 10/08/2017 20:10

My DD is 3.4. She's fairly well behaved for her age, normal pushing-the-boundaries/overtiredness acting up notwithstanding! She's in the middle of a weird phase where she hates to be in a room by herself for more than a nanosecond, and is more prone to whinging than normal. Have asked her repeatedly if she feels poorly or if anything hurts etc to which she answers no, so we're hoping it's just one of those odd behavioural humps that small children sometimes go through. DH and I are constantly playing 'DD pong' where we pass her between us so one deals with the clingy child while the other gets stuff done, then swap and repeat ad infinitum! Bless her, she's adorable but quite full on at times. Grin

Jacqueje · 10/08/2017 20:10

Oh FFS, felt crap all day, now trying to have quiet night watching movies while dh is out, and just had fricking mouse scamper across my living room floor! And we have people coming over this weekend! The rest of my evening has just gone on researching the best mouse traps...

Countdowntofour · 10/08/2017 20:37

Hi ladies :)

Like most of you I'm tired lol. Today I got up, had breakfast, got annoyed as my blood sugars went high even though it was a healthy breakfast, and then made a batch of biscuits in rebellion (atleast I could smell them lol..). Then painted a canvas and got annoyed as my eyes kept going blurry (only happens when I'm doing close up detailed painting!) which obviously isn't useful. Made the kids lunch, then babysat my friends two kids for a few hours this afternoon. Fed everyone, and then put my girls to bed at 8. Phew. Feeling tired now, and annoyed cuz once again my sugars have gone high for no real reason. In bed now catching up here and thinking about sleep lol.

Pretty symptomless other than tiredness today and one tiny episode of nausea and gagging lol.

Minervamouse77 · 10/08/2017 20:57

So tired today and I've been ridiculously emotional all day. I had a good day at work but for some unknown reason I cried most of the way home, which on a 2 hour commute is quite impressive. Feel better now I've had dinner and a bath. I'll be glad when the weekend gets here so I can sleep. At what point does this become enjoyable?

mrskitty15 · 10/08/2017 21:57

I am loving all of the little stories about your other DC Smile My DD has just turned 2, she is pretty good most of the time although she can definitely have her moments. A couple of times recently we have left toddler groups earlier than planned as she was giving her best terrible two performance.

She was however adorably cute the other day. It was just the two of us at home and I burst into tears as I was upset regarding my mother's cancer treatment. My DD immediately came over to me asking What is the matter mummy? She then went and picked up her Peppa Pig toy phone and was trying to call Dr Brown Bear from Peppa Pig for me to make me better Smile

I do sometimes worry though how I will cope with two.

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 11/08/2017 07:48

Mine are 4, 3 and 1. All girls, I think DH is hoping these 2 are boys Wink

I checked this morning and I can feel my fundus a few inches out of my pelvis (nearly 8 weeks)

Excited1203 · 11/08/2017 08:15

The toddlers all sound wonderful. I'm going to play with 3 toddlers and a baby at lunch today, although my favourite of friends' kids, a little girl (3.5), is at nursery.

How do you feel your fundus Sally? You're more likely to show early because of twins and 3 previous kids, right?

Sorry for the meltdown yesterday, I'm much better today (because I didn't have to get out of bed at 6).

Excited1203 · 11/08/2017 08:15

Oh - and glad you're getting that sorted @flatwhite, it sounds horrid.

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 11/08/2017 08:45

@Excited1203 you feel above your pubic bone and it feels like a harder bit and then drops off when you've reached the top of it? If that makes any sense at all!

Your uterus doesn't usually rise out of your pelvis until 12 weeks, it's just because there's 2 I can feel it I think Smile

Excited1203 · 11/08/2017 08:55

Thanks. I've tried prodding (I'm 9+4), it's all quite solid under the flab. I'll prod it every few days now, to see if it changes. My scan is 2 weeks today, feels like a proper countdown now, it's very exciting.

FuzzyOwl · 11/08/2017 10:24

My toddler has just turned two and I also have an almost ten month old. They are both great!

Scan later today which is causing lots of anxiety! I really hope all is ok.

Excited1203 · 11/08/2017 10:26

Good luck @FuzzyOwl, hope you see a happy wriggly one!

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 11/08/2017 10:48

Good luck @FuzzyOwl Smile

NorthernBelly · 11/08/2017 10:56

My toddler is 2yrs 3 m, when I say she 'entertained herself' yesterday, what I really meant was she watched telly, climbed over all the furniture and sprinkled water on the carpet while I laid on the sofa. She is very good though, so I can't complain.

Is anyone else having horrible dreams? The last three nights I have woken up after dreaming that I am miscarrying. The dream feels so real that I still think I am miscarrying after I've woken up for a few seconds until I really think about it and realize I'm not actually bleeding. They are so realistic, it's horrible and I'm starting to think it's a premonition Sad

Excited1203 · 11/08/2017 11:17

That's hard @NorthernBelly. I've dreamt about spitting blood recently, think that's wanting to give up work! Had a couple of miscarriage dreams about 3 or 4 weeks ago, when we had a run of women in our group having them. I had a bit of panic that it was premonition or that I'm having some kind of phantom pregnancy, but I seem to have managed to convince myself since that everything's ok. Or rather, my partner convinced me. No bleeding nor actual pain = extremely high probability that you're fine and it's just nerves.
