The sickness has now fully arrived here! :(

Excited1203 · 08/08/2017 12:49

Congrats Moose, good that you worried for nothing.

MrsW0812 · 08/08/2017 13:09

Congrats moose

I have admitted defeat and come home from work straight to bed. 😞 feel like I'm a failure as haven't even been sick

mrskitty15 · 08/08/2017 13:16

@MrsW0812 You are definitely not a failure. I find the constant nausea much worse than actually being sick. I am off for a sleep now too as I think tiredness makes the nausea worse.

Excited1203 · 08/08/2017 13:57

Tiredness definitely brings on the nausea for me. I didn't even make it in MrsW, so you bested me today. I've been very up and down all day though, so I don't regret it. I just need the rest. The little one is far more important than work.

xxHappyHippyxx · 08/08/2017 14:43

@Sallywiththegoodhurrr congrats on twins! 💕 I'd love to be told there's two in there, probably unlikely though with my lack of symptoms... do you have to have extra appointments for twins?

A palm reader lady who was at the fair I was camping at over the weekend says she saw twins in my future, and I hadn't even told her I was pregnant.. how likely are they to miss the second heartbeat in early scans?? I'm finding it hard to not get my hopes up 🤣 should I change my username to 'gulliblehippy'? lol

@Excited1203 just read about getting trapped in the bathroom! You poor thing.. hope the door is sorted now, we have so much to do in the house before it's really baby proof too, I need to write some lists and make a plan and stop burying my head about it before it gets too late!

Anybody else with acne? 😭😭 not on my face, particularly, which I suppose is a slight blessing, but my shoulders are dreadful like they were when I was a teenager and I hate it!!

Excited1203 · 08/08/2017 14:50

No, the door is not yet done, earlier today I got a laugh and promise of the new handle going on. He does do stuff, it just takes a long time. It's supposedly safe, but I leave a slipper in it just in case.

KerryLeanne84 · 08/08/2017 14:52

Very excited for your twins too Sally! I'd love them as well, although definitely a big ol' challenge!

xxHappyHippyxx · 08/08/2017 15:17

Good idea with the slipper, maybe you could leave the tools in the bathroom then sneak after him so he gets locked in and has to fix it to get out!!? Or am I being mean...? 😅

I don't even have a bathroom door if that makes you feel any better about needing the handle fixed..?? That's one of the jobs to go on my list! As it is, nobody gets to go to the toilet without at least one canine witness!

Excited1203 · 08/08/2017 15:22

Oh poor @HappyHippy, you deserve a door!

Flatwhite31 · 08/08/2017 15:59

@xxHappyHippyxx you never know re twins! Keep us posted after your next scan, haha!
I've had a bit of acne. I have oily skin anyway, and had a bit of a face breakout at weeks 5 and 9 on my forehead. I'm convinced the first one was hormones, and I'm pretty sure the second one was due to bad eating as I was barely eating anything healthy! Thankfully I've managed to get my healthy eating more back on track in the last week, and lone behold, the spots on my forehead are mostly gone (touch wood!).
Around a week ago I started to get some small spots on my back and chest which I never ever get! I bought some organic green tea body wash which seems to be helping though.

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 08/08/2017 17:03

Congratulations to sally and moose!

Excited, please please do what Happy suggests - might I suggest also playing the Crystal Maze theme tune through the door to further motivate him?

ChaoticKate · 08/08/2017 17:08

@Excited1203 My area isn't that generous unfortunately! They don't offer it on the NHS at all otherwise I would definitely have saved myself the money. I can be a bit of a worrier so I thought I'd head any concerns off at the past and just pay for the test. I've probably saved about half that much already by giving up my daily Starbucks!

ChaoticKate · 08/08/2017 17:09

At the pass not at the past! Idiot.

Stuckinstressville · 08/08/2017 17:17

Need to read all of #3 ... as been so worried and shoved on a beast load of medication by the miscarraige drs BUT booked in today which was a HUGE milestone as normally i have not seen a viable heartbeat so cancelled all bookings. Am mega jittery and the midwives say it could be pred /steroid i am on and they want it reviewed next week as i am sooo jumpy, nervous and not like my normal mellow self. But in big news, that dh is not even aware of yet i booked to have home birth! Now to give myself reasons why and convince Dh. Other than Ds was 2 /3 hours end to end with 20 mins in a pool after a full delivery ward meant i laboured in the corridors! erm...

bluebell hope scan was ok...

Sally wooooohoooooo!!!!!!

Excited1203 · 08/08/2017 17:17

Haha, that's mean @Happy and @GivemetheTea. What if he can't get out? He's at the shops buying me snacks right now, I can't get cross with him.

Onceuponamama · 08/08/2017 17:30

I've discovered biting into golden delicious apples and ice lollies (lemonade flavour) has helped with the dry heaving.

Do you think it is worth going to the gp for anti sickness tablets for nausea and dry heaving but no vomiting? (I don't want the doctor to think I'm being silly going there with no actual sickness-but I literally can't cope with this stomach bug feeling all the time!)

I'm so sorry if I sound like a total grouch! Anyone looking forward to the next trimester too? Grin

BlueeSpottyTiger · 08/08/2017 17:56

Aww wow sally That's good news! Eeek!
flatwhite I'm abit spotty too only on my chin but my skin feels greasy 🤢
mrsw being nauseous is worst than actually vomiting imo. That's what's so debilitating.. hope if passes for you soon x

I have to go back for another scan on Thursday to make sure baby is still okay after my last scan (where i did see a hb)as I've had spotting and cramping 2 days at weekend. Also I have a uti that I've had atleast 2 weeks so on antibiotics that are safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding. And imight need to go back for an ecg as my heart is being veryyy poundy recently. Oh on top of that I have my occupational health appt on Friday. I've been told by the dr then that if im still unwell on Monday to call back for an extended sicknote. Dr does think it will be hypermesis again as i had it will dd but can't have that confirmed until I'm out of the 1st trimester. Couldn't eat or drink anything between 7.45am and 4pm.. not even water but yet i managed to have a hot coffee mocha?
Feel like cancelling my holiday! Sorry I'm rambling away I'm just abit fed up now.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 08/08/2017 17:58

onceupon i think you should definatley go to the gp.. it's awful! Xx

MrsW0812 · 08/08/2017 18:05

Oh Blue - you deserve a break - positive thoughts and hugs being sent your way.

Re bathroom door - I don't bother shutting fours and it drives DH mad but I get scared don't like being shut in plus the dog hates it when she can't be near me! 😂

MrsW0812 · 08/08/2017 18:06

Oops press send before finished.

Slept all afternoon and feel better for it - awful sore throat though. Just had a toasted pitta and some hummus yum might go get another one ......

1000jobstodo · 08/08/2017 18:14

Wow Sally, what exciting news!

fuzzyowl I think I've just sent you s pm... I think. Confused

1000jobstodo · 08/08/2017 19:14

Sorry you're having such a tough time Blue

Doublegloucester · 09/08/2017 08:33

Just checking in waves.
Nothing new to report...constant nausea and tiredness gets boring after a while!

Exciting news re Sally's twins!
My colleague who guessed I was preg decided I was having twins as I'm showing so much....prob just bloating though!!!

SheSaidHeSaid · 09/08/2017 09:11

Wow Sally , how exciting!

Nothing new to report here either other than that I think I've started getting pregnancy headaches as I've had one every day for the past few days. Hope it's just a surge of hormones or something and it doesn't last.

Currently sitting on a train on my way to a meeting trying not to heave, smelly commuters are not the one when you're pregnant.
