Hi everyone, can I join please?

I'm 9+4 and due on 3 April. I have a DS (4) and since then had 6 mc so have been wary of joining but this is the furthest I have got since DS and I've had 2 successful scans so I'm starting to feel a bit hopeful. I'm 41 so feeling the pressures of time.

DS was early due to GD so I guess this could end up being a March baby - I quite like the idea of a 1 April birthdate but frankly I'll be happy whenever it's born as long as it's healthy.

boatrace30 · 02/09/2017 07:28

@MsJuniper - so sorry for your losses. You've been through such a tough time. Fingers crossed for you. Hoping 3rd April is a lucky due date as it's mine too Smile

WhyTheHeckMe · 02/09/2017 08:49

Morning all. After my mc in July I'm feeling so apprehensive :(

Did anyone find the exhaustion stopped early? Im 6+2.
The last 2 weeks I've literally been asleep as soon as ds has his nap (on the days I'm not working). I suddenly feel like I'm full of energy again the past 3 days and it's really stressing me out.
My midwife is seeing me Monday and then referring me for my first scan but she wasn't sure how long it would take to get an apt.
I've found a private clinic who said they will see me tomorrow at 11am but dh is against it due to the fact we could potentially have a free scan next week!

I don't know what to do :( I've not suffered with morning sickness or sore boobs so the tiredness was all I had to go off.

I did hit 3+ weeks on clearblue which had given me some hope.
L

Hi WhytheHeck, it's really hard isn't it. If you can afford it and it will alleviate your anxiety, it would make sense to have the private scan. If they are able to see you quickly, I guess you could wait until you see the mw on Monday and if it sounds like the scan will take a long time, see if you can get the private one on Tuesday?

Mimilicious013 · 02/09/2017 10:02

Morning all. Fingers crossed for you @whytheheck. If you could go in tomorrow, let think it would put your mind at ease.

Sadly for me, my exhaustion seemed to have gone the last few days and after a scan last night, l have no good news. I am so so heartbroken. After ttc over 2 years, my joy has been taking away.

Wishing you all the very best and thanks for sharing your journeys

Poppyandpeaches · 02/09/2017 11:31

So sorry to hear that @Mimi look after yourself

Keeping everything crossed for you @MsJuniper

@whytheheck I would get the private scan. It is worth it if you are feeling anxious

Sunshinesaz86 · 02/09/2017 11:50

So sorry to hear that mimi take care of yourself.

Star mine is the 21/9! Hopefully it'll come round quickly.

Welcome msjuniper sorry for your losses fingers crossed this will be your sticky bean.

why have you decided what to do? It's such a nerve wracking time.

I have my private scan at 4.30 today, really hoping there is a bean with a HB in there. 🙏🏼 Wish me luck I'll update later x

LivLemler · 02/09/2017 12:23

So sorry to read that Mimi, your poor things. Take care of yourself Flowers

boatrace30 · 02/09/2017 13:16

I'm so sorry @Mimilicious013 FlowersFlowers

WhyTheHeckMe · 02/09/2017 13:17

@mimi I'm so sorry to hear your news. I know there is nothing anyone will say to make you feel better right now but time is the best healer and the pain does get easier. Look after yourself..

Yes ladies I realised that I definitely want a scan asap. Rang the clinic but they only see 8w+ as they're not "medical".

So rang around and I'm booked in at 4.30 today at a private pregnancy hospital. It's double the cost but it's one of those "I don't care" days because I just need to know

I'll update you later. Please keep everything crossed for us :)

olicat · 02/09/2017 13:58

WhyTheHeckMe · 02/09/2017 17:38

Yay @oli and @sunshine! Congrats to you both.

Anyone got any experience of subchorionic haematoma? The sonographer took quite a lot of pics and told me I have a blood clot and showed me and said to mention to mw tomorrow.
Just googled it (damn) and now panicking like mad.
The sack is on the left and the bleed is on the right... anyone? !

Sunshinesaz86 · 02/09/2017 18:26

I've heard of them why I believe they can sometimes disappear on there own but sometimes you can experience a bleed with them.
Did they seem concerned? Hopefully it'll all be ok but yes something more to worry about.

I saw beans legs and arms wiggling! I wouldn't look at the screen until I was told all was ok though. X x

Shnaffle · 02/09/2017 19:40

Hi all just had an early scan, from my dates I worked out I was 7+6 today but the sonographer measured me at only 7 weeks so a little concerned as the dates don't make sense and I hope baby isnt on the small side or something. Heartbeat could be seen on the screen but too early for her to pick up the rate. Should I be worried?
Also anyone know much about the ramzi theory? I've read about it but can't work it out.. Any guesses?

ahh this was me last year. how time flies!! good luck to all Flowers

LivLemler · 02/09/2017 21:23

Fabulous pics ladies! Has anyone had a scan around 8 weeks, and was it internal or external? I'm not great with internal stuff so crossing my fingers for external, but I should probably be prepared.

Why - I'd never heard of a haematoma in relation to pregnancy until a couple of day ago. A woman I'm FB friends with mentioned having one. She's 20 weeks now and it's been decreasing steadily. She's having extra monitoring but her consultant doesn't seem overly worried. A couple of other ladies shared similar stories. Hopefully it won't be anything dramatic for you, and just something to keep an eye on.

WhyTheHeckMe · 02/09/2017 21:30

Hi @liv, thanks that's reassuring to know. I'm hoping nothing comes of it. The sonographer specifically told me not to Google it and just speak to my mw. So obviously I googled it and now am thinking the worst. In America they're put on bed rest as standard it seems and told to avoid sex and exercise (every cloud and all that Wink )

With regards to scans, in my 1st pregnancy I had a 9w scan that could see things abdominally but they asked if they could do internal as it was much clearer and precise. I agreed and everything was fine. They told me the probe only goes up 1 inch and could never cause mc.
That's the kind I had today as well and I did feel more nervous due to my mc 8 weeks ago but it was all fine x
