Hi to those who recently joined, and congratulations!

My face broke out after my mc and it was terrible. Acne like I've never gotten before! I'm still trying to battle it now but I read somewhere that acne medications and peels etc aren't that great when you're pregnant.

On another note, I saw my doctor today and he's asked me to come in in 2 weeks for a scan. I'm a bit nervous as I'll only be about 7 weeks then and scared i won't see anything.

Juey2002 · 25/07/2017 21:24

Hi ladies, congrats all!! Got my bfp a few days ago, think I'm about 4+3 with my second. Super anxious as had 3 miscarriages in the past 18 months, so am googling everything and poas everyday and obsessing! Would be lovely to share the journey with you all, fingers crossed for sticky beans 😊Xx

Parney · 25/07/2017 23:20

Hi everyone, excited to join in if that's ok? Got a BFP Sunday, I've taken a few including a digi since. I'm not really sure when I'm due, estimating March 30th as I had a BFN over a week ago so I couldn't be more than five weeks.

Mimi!!!!!!!!!!! Wow wow wow!! I'm so thrilled for you!!!! I must go catch up on the square one thread to learn more. I honestly couldn't be happier and it looks like we'll be due date buddies.

Sparkle I hear you! AF had just returned in June after having my first DS in December, so we'd really just been seeing what would happen when bam decision made itself! Delighted though. No symptoms here really, but I didn't have any last time except dul cramps some of you have been describing.

Parney · 25/07/2017 23:22

Sarmi the scan will be terrifying leading up to it but the reassurance will be amazing. Hoping for a smooth journey for everyone here.

RU486 · 26/07/2017 04:28

Sarmi, when I was with the RMC I had a scan at 5 weeks and we could see my sons heartbeat, am sure by 7 weeks you'll be able to see your little bean

Sunshinesaz86 · 26/07/2017 08:08

Hi ladies can I tentatively join please? Got my BFP yesterday even though not due until tomorrow however it looked pretty strong.

I'm hoping it's sticky after a MMC back in Feb we found out at 12 week scan and bean had stopped growing at 8+4! But we've stayed very positive. DS who is 2 is poorly also so we've been very busy with that.

This was cycle 4 as we didn't try again straight away so luckily hasn't taken us too long.

Very exciting/nervous to be starting the journey again.
My first hurdle is a hen weekend on fri with 20 other girls including my 2 sisters trying to swerve alcohol. 😳

Sallywiththegoodhurr · 26/07/2017 08:19

Can I join please?

I'm 5 weeks and due March 28th, I've been on the march thread but I'm sure this baby will be late like the others!
This is DC4 for me Smile

Mimilicious013 · 26/07/2017 10:01

Morning ladies, hope you had a good night's sleep.

@parney, it's really nice to see you here hun! !!.hope you and the baby are doing well. Due date buddies indeed.

Thanks @boatrace, long time ttc is not easy. congrats Wink

@sarmi, at 7weeks, your chances of hearing a heartbeat are good .the count down is a torture though.

Sorry about the mmc @sunshine. It's going to be an interesting Friday for you! !

Hahaha @sparkle, I too told you guys before dh. How did it go for you yesterday? I can only share my news on Saturday when dh is back.

Thelostsock · 26/07/2017 18:04

Wow good luck on the hen do @Sunshinesaz86! What is your excuse going to be?

Speechiebaby · 26/07/2017 18:35

Hi ladies!! Hope I can squeeze in on this group! We found out on Saturday!!! Our estimated due date is 2nd April!! I've done 5 tests and still find the need to do more and feeling sick but unsure whether its nerves or symptoms!! Feel like I don't want to work already bloody shattered!! XxShock

Speechiebaby · 26/07/2017 18:38

Congrats to all my due date buddies!! Xx Freaking out about not drinking at my sister in laws wedding on Saturday! Any tips would be fab as think they will suss me out as threw up last week on her hen do and my mother in law kept pulling a face as if she knew before i did!!! Xx

Thelostsock · 26/07/2017 18:55

I ended up buying a very expensive round last night while out with work colleagues! Got cocktails for everyone (secret mocktail for me) then said I was driving home so had soda water the rest of the night. Did the job last night but no idea what other excuses I'll come up with. Have a weekend away with friends this weekend and in fact most of the other weekends leading up to 12 weeks.

DH adamant that we'll not tell anyone early, and I do agree but it's quite a strange secret to be keeping from close friends and family.

Congratulations to all the new joiners Grin

Sunshinesaz86 · 26/07/2017 19:09

thelostock I'm thinking of putting non alcoholic wine into my usual wine bottle for the Friday when we're staying in. And then 'vodka' lime and soda while I'm out! However your mocktail idea is great! Didn't think of that one! Also becks blue in a glass but appreciate not that many places do becks blue?

after this weekend I think I'll just pass on as many nights out as i can until 12 weeks.

speechiebaby I would put the champers to your lips and then pour away when u get chance to nip to loo, or if dh/dp in on board swap drinks with him (unless hes a Guinness drinker or something) then that won't work. 😕

Speechiebaby · 26/07/2017 19:28

Sunshinesaz86 Haha!! Loving these ideas i'll try the mocktails and becks blue and just nurse my drinks! I'll hold the champers to my lips too for toasts and smile and nod and pray no one cottons on!

Thelostsock (love the name by the way haha!) I agree keeping it a secret from my close family who are all attending the wedding will be odd! Really bad at lying and my facial expression reveals all! Just definitely won't spill the beans then and steal my sister in law's thunder!! You could hide a bottle of the wine in your room and then reappear after a loo break with a full drink! I'd go down the antibiotics route but don't think they'll believe that xx

Ruthisnice · 26/07/2017 20:00

speechiebaby thelostsock sunshine I'm loving all your excellent ideas! It's my cousin's wedding at the end of August and I'm convinced I won't be able to hide it (it's a free bar!) I'll be about 12 weeks by then though so I might not try to hide it. I've/dh has already told way more people than we probably should have Confused. It's just too exciting!

MegsMog · 26/07/2017 20:38

I was at a civil ceremony today and will be at a wedding on sat. I just had a couple of finger or two of champagne (which I did drink) and accepted a quarter glass of wine which I had a couple of tiny sips of then left.

I've found that in practice people rarely pay much attention to what others are drinking! I am quite relaxed about having a few sips of alcohol at a do though, I know some prefer to avoid altogether.

As an aside Emily Oster's book "Expecting Better" covers the subject of alcohol brilliantly, in fact her whole book is fab. Really recommend it.

MegsMog · 26/07/2017 20:39

Oops that should say "a finger or two", not a couple of them!

Speechiebaby · 26/07/2017 21:44

Sunshinesaz86 i've just seen your previous comment and I also had a mmc in Feb and found out at 10w5d that it had stopped growing. I'm staying very positive though and taking a step back in work to stay as chilled as possible. Same here that we got pregnant in 4th cycle but didn't try straight away! So happy to be pregnant again!! Very exciting and crazy time!! Grin

NoseringGirl · 26/07/2017 22:06

Another one tentatively joining!
I've had 2 faint BFPs but have also been bleeding. I thought that was it for me but bleeding has been light and I've been feeling very sick (the kind of sick I get when I'm pregnant) and exhausted. So clinging onto hope. I'm also putting off testing again until Saturday so I don't drive myself mad.
This would be #3 for me!

Sunshinesaz86 · 26/07/2017 22:53

Oh wow speechie lots of similarities, I'm roughly due 6th April.
I'm taking the relaxed approach and staying positive my last pregnancy got to 8+4, but I have no reason to believe this one won't work out. We had a lot of stuff going on with my DS when I last found out I was pg (was a surprise) as he's poorly so that kept me busy and I didn't have time to dwell with so much going on.

Fingers crossed to us we all have sticky ones.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you nosering keep us posted.

I'll have a look into tye book megs I love a good read. And I'll prob try out the finger drinking for the weekend too 😂

MrsDneedsaB · 27/07/2017 10:42

Hi Ladies,

Don't mind if I join do you? Tentatively like so many others...

First BFP after a MMC last November, didn't get AF back until May and June was holiday so... July was first month TTC again! Cannot believe we caught so quick and nervous could not be more of an understatement.

I'm a larger girl with PCOS and Prolactinoma, 3 chemicals and 1 MMC under my belt, so I literally have a lot of things going against me.

Researching everything I can to get this bean to stick but feeling rather detached this time round Confused

stellaaaaaa · 27/07/2017 11:03

A tentative hello from me, so glad to have found this thread! Got my BFP on our first cycle of TTC baby number 1. Can't quite believe it! I've ordered some digi tests which should arrive today, feel like I need to see the words for it be real. Been stalking these threads for weeks, feels strange to finally be posting!

So far had quiet a bit of lower back ache, period-type cramps and a bit of nausea. Hope you're all doing ok Smile

Mimilicious013 · 27/07/2017 11:19

Morning everyone
Congrats @stella @mrsd and @nosering
Hope you all have a good day

RU486 · 27/07/2017 11:44

Hello ladies and congrats to MrsD, Noserintg and Stella!
I got to poas again today, been a long wait since Friday, but got a good strong line really quickly so starting to hope this might be a sticky bean. Will call the docs to arrange my mw booking appt etc
Happy Thursday everyone

NoseringGirl · 27/07/2017 13:26

MrsD I have PCOS too, hope it all goes well for you.

Congratulations to everyone else too. Hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies!

I tested again this afternoon (despite saying I'd wait until Saturday!) and it was still very faint. The bleeding seems to be slowing down. Nausea and back pain are still there.
The tests were a lot stronger with DS1 and DS2 at this point so not feeling too hopeful.
