@mimi has OH been home for he good news yet?

@baby he's always been a good sleeper so been very lucky. Not taking it for granted though as I know this can change at any time! I'll really miss all the guilt-free napping I enjoyed last time! We're very similar if only had one AF too. Also had a wedding yesterday and my excuse was driving home to DS, think I got away with it. Well people may have their suspicions but nothing was said so happy enough.

Parney · 29/07/2017 20:12

Congrats @Liv and @Linz enjoy all the excitement.

Sarmster · 29/07/2017 20:48

Oh my I haven't checked this thread in a day and a half and lots of new people have joined - how exciting! Hello everyone and congratulations on the BFPs! Hopw it all goes well and it's a sticky little bean.

Guys I have a quick question and worried it might sound silly. Have anyone of you had sex since your bfp? Tbh I'm a tad worried about doing it in case of bleeding etc. Thoughts?

itsascottishbaby · 30/07/2017 00:22

Mummy I think private scan places offer them from 6 weeks.

Sarmster unless you have a reason to worry I'd say go for it - I also was super careful last time for the same reason but it's a long 9 months and if you're feeling up for sex it will be fine! Smile

Babydreaming · 30/07/2017 08:42

Sarmster I think guidance is that it's okay if it feels comfortable. If there's any pain or bleeding then stop until you've had a scan as your placenta may be low lying. Your cervix will be tight shut and your baby will be protected. In majority of cases it's absolutely fine though. I had sex in all three trimesters last time with no problems. By 6 weeks I felt very nauseated and the though of my husband kissing me made me want to throw up so enjoy it whilst you can!

Mimilicious013 · 30/07/2017 09:23

@parney, dh came home last night and I showed him the big fat positive Grin.he is still in shock and thinks l am pulling his leg lol . are you still bf hun, and do you plan on continuing?

@sarm, as long as you are feeling up to it, and you are not at risk then enjoy yourself before that belly starts growing.

Hie@mummy

Do you guys realize that this Christmas we won't be able to sleep on our tummies or backsHmm

Happy Sunday everyone Flowers

Sarmster · 30/07/2017 09:36

Thanks @mimi @babydreaming @itsascottishbaby! We'll see how it goes but yes it is a long 9 months!

@mimi I can only go to sleep on my back but hopefully a bump pillow will help us.

We were hoping to go to Edinburghs Hogmanay in Dec but may need to rethink plans Grin

thecraftyfox · 30/07/2017 10:49

Hello all. Got a bfp this morning but suspected I was pregnant since Monday as my boobs were agony. Managed to make myself wait until today when I'm a day late and yup, 2 lines straight away. Already have a DD age 3y and despite having an awful pregnancy with her, quite looking forward to doing it again!

RU486 · 30/07/2017 11:17

Congrats to the new ladies and wishing you happy healthy pregnancies!
When are you planning on telling work? I'm a bit worried about letting my boss know as things aren't brilliant right now. But if my morning sickness is anything like my DS then I'll be pretty poorly soon Confused

MummyToBe2018 · 30/07/2017 11:37

Itsascottishbaby - thank you hun will look into that x x

Fuzzyduck21 · 30/07/2017 14:57

Hello everyone I am about 4+2 with second baby...first is 22 months :) delighted as needed fertility treatment with first and managed to conceive naturally this time. Congratulations everyone x

Anban · 30/07/2017 22:45

Hello all.

I did two tests yesterday and both were bfp. Will be testing again in the morning and will probably get a digital just to see it. First bean on our second try. Was so positive that I wasn't pregnant despite my boobs being bigger and constantly sore. Got some bfn last week but Friday night DH said 'you feel warm, have you taken a test lately?' I am usually always cold so I did a test the next morning.

Edd is currently 6-10th April, been getting mixed results cos I know for sure the date of conception (another reason I was sure I wasn't). AF was due today, but I usually get spotting for a day before hand which never happened so fx for a sticky.

Also have a wedding in two weeks damnit. Tonight at dinner with my parents I had a 'gin' and tonic. Hopefully that will throw them off the scent.

Really glad others are having abdomen twinges. Wasn't sure if I was imagining it because I am so hyper aware.

Also, itchy bellybutton?

LinzLinz · 31/07/2017 07:26

Good luck @Anban let us know how you get on today!

@LivLemler how are you feeling? Is it sinking in yet?! I still can't believe it! 😁

LivLemler · 31/07/2017 07:58

A little queasy Linz! Other than that... It's weird, isn't it? Looks like it'll be early Oct til I've had a scan and can tell people, that seems very far away!

LivLemler · 31/07/2017 07:58

And congratulations to all the new people on the thread!

LinzLinz · 31/07/2017 08:24

Have you been to the doctors yet @LivLemler ? What happens at that first appointment? I'm actually abroad atm so will go when I get back. We've told our parents but will wait to tell the rest of the world! It's good to be able to chat on here!

LivLemler · 31/07/2017 08:28

I had an appointment booked for tomorrow anyway, so will mention it then. They'll love me for that I'm sure! Supposed to just be a new patient check.

Can't remember what happens from there, but the NHS website has a whole section on pregnancy including an article about the various appointments.

We'll tell our parents too, wouldn't get away with not telling them. But will hope to get another couple of weeks first.

Sunshinesaz86 · 31/07/2017 11:07

Congrats to everyone who has joined.
I survived the hen weekend, was so tiring walked around 8000 steps each day which is more than what I normally do 😂😂 that's without a 90 min dance class and club dancing on top. Glad to be home for a rest.
Even tho last night I 'nearly' fell down the stairs with DS and I've managed to damage my foot on the bloody stair gate, luckily I regained my balance. But jeez I can hardly walk today.

How's everyone feeling?
Who's got what symptoms going on?? X x

LinzLinz · 31/07/2017 11:25

Hi @Sunshinesaz86 sounds like a hectic weekend even for someone who's not pregnant lol! Enjoy your rest!

I'm only nearly 4 weeks with my first so this is all new to me! so far I feel completely normal, no major symptoms yet. Slightly achey boobs and I have the stiffest neck, it's really quite sore! Is this related do you think?!

RU486 · 31/07/2017 12:31

Pink spotting today Sad

Midwife appt on Wednesday, hoping the spotting goes away

Sarmster · 31/07/2017 13:04

Oh @RU486 fingers crossed it's nothing to worry about. Glad you have an appointment scheduled for this week. Can you try and rest till Wednesday? Bed rest?

@sunshinesaz86 glad you survived the hen! I have my work leaving drinks on the 11th and not sure what I'll do. Tbh a few ppl know that we are trying for a baby and thats why i dont drink so may continue along those lines.

Congrats to all the new BFPs! My EDD is 30 March but I'm quite enjoying the April thread.

RU486 · 31/07/2017 13:13

Thanks Sarmster, no bed rest for me tho, am working today and tomorrow morning and have a 17 month old to chase after.
Trying to keep positive, am sure I had a bit of spotting with DS but after 3 mc you can't help but panic

Mimilicious013 · 31/07/2017 13:18

Sorry @Ru, hope it's nothing to worry about. I second sarm , could you maybe rest.
How was the wedding @baby?

Congrats to the newbies Flowers

Glad all went well @sunshine and sorry about the fall.

Todayis not a great day for me. I feel nausea all day so far. It's going to be a looooong road.

How is everyone?

Thelostsock · 31/07/2017 13:21

Good luck with your midwife appointment @RU486, hopefully everything is ok

Well done on everyone surviving their weekends. I got ridiculed for my "two day hangover" but managed to avoid drinking alcohol and coffee and had an excuse for an afternoon nap, hopefully all without suspicion.

I did however have a complete lapse in all things food and ate goats cheese, salami and a runny egg without even thinking. It wasn't until Sunday when I was working out how to avoid pate that I realised and now I'm feeling stupid and worried. What should I do?
