Huge congratulations @tuxedocat! What wonderful news. Enjoy all of these special moments with your new son!

ScotsLamb · 29/11/2017 13:09

Hi @AgainPlease welcome to the group! I hope you are keeping well. As you can see we are super excited about babies arriving!
There is a Facebook group with about 80 others on it. If you would like added then drop me a pm with your email address.

ScotsLamb · 02/12/2017 22:50

How are things @tuxedocat ?

tuxedocat · 02/12/2017 22:56

Thank you ladies. It still feels so surreal. Everything is going so well though, he's only lost 4% of his birth weight, and BF seems to be going well. It's so tiring though! He feeds 1/2 hours and settles lovely on the day but night is much harder. I think I've had about 12 hours sleep since last Sunday in total 😬
He's worth it though (as much as I wish we had a manual)

ScotsLamb · 03/12/2017 02:35

Sounds very similar to most of the stories coming from baby mummy's on Facebook. 4% is really good. Well done to you and your bazoongas.
I hope things start to settle down and you get som sleep too.
I'm very jealous of your baby cuddles. I'm still at the "argh heartburn/insomnia" stage.

tuxedocat · 03/12/2017 10:05

Hope your little one turns up soon scots! I found myself crying uncontrollably last night though the hormones hit like a brick!
It's wonderful but by my god the shock of responsibility is so real and everything got so 'what have I done?! Am I adult enough for this?! I want my mum!' and the lack of sleep is something I've never realised
Which is the worst because the last few weeks of pregnancy are the worst with pressure and bladder and all the rest of it! Good luck, you'll smash it x

ScotsLamb · 03/12/2017 10:29

Thanks @tuxedocat I'm not due for another 3 weeks so a while to go yet potentially. Could easily be a January baby. Seems like lack of sleep and baby not settling are the main first few week issues but those with babies over a week are saying it does get better.

How are you @Mrsbluebell17 ?

Mrsbluebell17 · 03/12/2017 15:14

Good to hear how things are going @tuxedocat - keep up the great work, even though it's challenging!

@ScotsLamb Hey! I'm ok thanks. Due next week so things are getting closer but no signs of labour just yet. Finding these last few weeks pretty tough with sleeping. How are you?

ScotsLamb · 03/12/2017 22:09

I'm ok. Just struggling to sleep because of heartburn. Hoping tonight is better.

Mrsbluebell17 · 04/12/2017 09:34

Ah I know that feeling all too well. Being propped up was my saviour! Hope you got some sleep!

ScotsLamb · 09/12/2017 23:09

@Mrsbluebell17 Happy due date! How are things with you?

Mrsbluebell17 · 10/12/2017 17:33

Hey @ScotsLamb! Well, that was a whirlwind week. Baby Bluebell arrived on Thursday and she is perfect in every way! HaloStar.

Hope everyone is good? x

Carley27 · 11/12/2017 09:31

Congratulations bluebell! Hope you and baby are both well and you're enjoying lots of newborn snuggles 😍x

@Mrsbluebell17 so so please that baby Bluebell is here!! How are you? How was the birth?
Smile

Mrsbluebell17 · 12/12/2017 04:25

Hi @ScotsLamb
I'm ok physically thanks and the birth was actually ok too. Assisted with ventouse so a few stitches but all in all it went very smoothly.
Mentally I'm elated. Absolutely over the moon with our precious baby.

Hope you're not waiting too much longer now. Are you all set?

ScotsLamb · 12/12/2017 04:33

So please that things are going well. Hoping that the stitches heal well.
I'm very jealous of the baby cuddles. We are all set. Just need baby now. Aiming to bring maternity leave forward to either end of tomorrow or end of Wednesday. Eek. Gets a bit real.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/12/2017 05:32

Congratulations @Mrsbluebell17 ! Thinking of you, enjoy your lovely girl 💗
As you know we shared a due date but I unfortunately mc at 10 weeks in May. But I got my rainbow BFP this morning!
Good luck to the rest of the December mamas & babies x

ScotsLamb · 12/12/2017 07:29

@TheGrumpySquirrel congratulations on your BFP. Sending lots of positive thoughts that this is your time xxx

feelingcalledlove · 12/12/2017 07:35

Congratulations Bluebell, I'm so pleased that things went relatively smoothly and that you're really happy. It's so exciting now that there are quite a few actual babies here Smile

And GrumpySquirrel congratulations on your BFP - that's great news!

Also congratulations TuxedoCat - I hope everything's still going well and you're enjoying your little one.

Sorry I've been rubbish at posting on here, am terrible at keeping up with this and Facebook (I'm still pregnant with no sign of baby's arrival so not much to update!) xx

H24x · 12/12/2017 13:19

Hello has anyone had a stretch and sweep yet ? I'm 37weeks+4 and had one on Sunday! Wow it hurt like hell is that normal ?

Eseld93 · 12/12/2017 14:05

Yeah H24x, I have a week or so ago and It really hurt. Yeah I'm very normal to hurt. Do you have any signs of going into Labor?

MontyPants · 12/12/2017 15:27

Sorry I haven't posted on here in ages, but just wanted to say a big congratulations to Tuxedo and Bluebell (and anyone else I've missed) on your new arrivals! ❤️ My LO was born 1/12/17
And congratulations to Squirrel on your BFP 😊 Good luck with it all xx

H24x · 12/12/2017 16:22

Nope nothing belly keeps going hard but no niggles or bh's I'm seeing a consultant on Friday so hopefully know more then my midwife had been crap if I'm honest so I'm a little in the dark x

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 14/12/2017 23:59

Congratulations @Mrsbluebell17 !

And amazing news @TheGrumpySquirrel !

X

ScotsLamb · 16/12/2017 01:44

@H24x I would say your belly going hard is Braxton Hicks. It's how mine show. It even showed lots on the monitor when I went in with reduced movements.

I hope it's progressed on to labour!
