Hope you’re not stressing too much @ScotsLamb. We’ve been told our Midwife support worker can be called out to help with anything like that?
We don’t have any family close so are going it alone so it scares me too. But google is my friend hahaha.
Anyone else struggling with sleeping too at this stage? I wake so much and can’t sleep again for ages. Hmm

ScotsLamb · 21/11/2017 06:22

I've had to consciously avoid my phone at night or I can be awake all night. Waking up 4 or 5 times rolling over then overthinking everything for a while before going back to sleep. Practicing my yoga breathing to get back to sleep helps.

glastogal · 21/11/2017 06:52

Morning ladies!! Feels like forever since I posted here.. I hope you are doing well MrsB?!! Been awake since 5am and just lying here willing the baby to give me a good kicking. He's moving but deffo running out of space for the big rolls and kicks now!!

Can't believe my due date is next week Shock

So understand the concerns about putting babies into nappies and clothes etc. I feel so clueless Grin

tuxedocat · 21/11/2017 10:19

I feel your pain RE sleeping. If it's not getting up at 2/3am for the worlds smallest wee it's lying awake wondering how my DH can snore blissfully!
Trying to make the most of having a bump because I know I'm gonna miss it when it's gone!

glastogal · 21/11/2017 14:35

Oh tux.. the teeny middle of the night wees are so annoying, aren't they?! I can't imagine being without my bump but I'm not sure I will miss it and the discomfort it brings!! Grin

Mrsbluebell17 · 21/11/2017 18:39

Hey @glastogal! I’m doing well thanks, just finding the waiting game a bit odd at the moment. Due date 2.5-3 weeks for me but already assessing every twinge and things.

Ohhhh yeah the tiny wees in the middle of the night are so frustrating. Getting in and out of bed is tough now too isn’t it! I’m currently only managing to sleep for an hour or two at a time and then awake for an hour and so on.....

I’m also feeling the same changed movements now too!

Can’t wait to meet our baby, just got some anxieties now about getting baby here safe!!!

tuxedocat · 21/11/2017 22:01

I'm being sent for a growth scan tomorrow as I'm measuring small, and she happened to mention that we need to put everything in the car 'just in case' 😳 We've not even tried the car seat in yet!!

The small wees are the worst. I hobble down thinking it's gonna be worth my while and I'm like 'is that it?!' It's so annoying! Especially like you say bluebell getting out of bed and then getting back in bed to get comfy too.

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/11/2017 06:41

Good luck for today @tuxedocat and let us know how you get on!

I had a growth scan last week due to change in movements and was measuring what I thought was quite big so now I’m scared lol.

ScotsLamb · 22/11/2017 07:28

Good luck @tuxedocat

tuxedocat · 22/11/2017 08:39

Thanks lovely ladies. I know the growth scans aren't accurate at all so I'm not worried about that it's just hoping all is ok - irrational fear!

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/11/2017 09:09

I know the irrational fear feeling all too well. Let us know how you get on. Thinking of you.

tuxedocat · 22/11/2017 16:36

Thank you. All looking fine, likely it's just because I'm petite and all baby bump 🙂

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/11/2017 20:16

Glad to hear all is good @tuxedocat

ScotsLamb · 24/11/2017 22:03

We are now on baby number 7 on Facebook with a week left to go until December!
How is everyone? I've had my last ante natal class but still feel like there is a while to go until baby arrives but I'm in no rush. Lots of work stuff to do and some last minute Christmas shopping things.

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/11/2017 22:54

Wow - who has had their babies @ScotsLamb? How early are they all?
I’m ready and waiting now but still another few weeks to go probably.

glastogal · 25/11/2017 06:40

I haven't had mine.. huff Wink

I can't remember all the MN names now Blush how crazy is that? The pics are making me so broody though (which is a good thing I guess, 6 days from my due date!!!)

Mrsbluebell17 · 25/11/2017 09:48

Hey @glastogal !!
How you doing? Guessing you’ve had no signs of anything happening yet? I’m a couple of weeks away from EDD still. This wait is driving me insane haha.

How you finding the wait?

ScotsLamb · 25/11/2017 10:27

I'm the same as @glastogal and can't remember names!!

There are a few having elective section next week due to naughty babies being breech or health things so more babies on the way😊

I'm 4 weeks away from EDD and I'm ok with the waiting just now. I am still working so it is keeping my mind off it and I have lots of things on this weekend. Next weekend is a bit quieter so hopefully get finished with baby things I need to do (or just lounging on the couch lol)

I've worked out how to stop my hips being sore in bed. I'm now sleeping on a layer of pillows to add to my pillow fort already!

glastogal · 25/11/2017 13:32

Hey @Mrsbluebell17 - I'm doing well thanks!! Absolutely no signs of any evacuation here.. I think he's gonna hang on as long as he can! It's a shame though because I know my consultant wants him out next week and I switch between wanting the same and wanting to give him time to be ready! I'm not generally a very patient person though Grin

Couple of weeks isn't long! Hopefully you won't be kept waiting either.. could happen any time though, right?! That's what we have to keep telling ourselves (until we go bonkers!)

Mrsbluebell17 · 26/11/2017 02:09

@ScotsLamb I’ve done the same with pillow mountains hope you continue to enjoy the last few weeks.

@glastogal yup that is what I’m telling myself too. It’s hard not to watch out for every little sign isn’t it? I’d be extremely happy with baby being here on time at the latest.

Fingers crossed your baby decides to play ball and come when it should.

AgainPlease · 27/11/2017 20:18

Hi everyone 👋🏼 very late to the party but I’m being induced on the 18th December. 3 more weeks, can’t bloody wait!

Excepting a girl 🎀

Mrsbluebell17 · 28/11/2017 05:38

Hi @AgainPlease! Welcome! That’s exciting. Is your induction planned now for medical reasons? Hope you’re doing well with these last few weeks.

tuxedocat · 29/11/2017 05:01

Hi ladies. Baby boy arrived yesterday (not a December baby!) after I called in with suspected ICP (itchy hands & feet) so I was going to be induced as I was 38+5 and there's a risk of stillbirth past term - however found out I was 2cm dilated anyway(!) and had my waters broken the next morning! He arrived safely despite meconium in the water (none swallowed thankfully) after about 8hrs of natural labour. it was incredibly hard but so rewarding. I can't believe he's here(!) and how whirlwind it was. Good luck to you ladies waiting x

ScotsLamb · 29/11/2017 07:09

Yay!!! Well done @tuxedocat hope you've managed some rest and baby is all happy and feeding well.
We had another baby overnight on the Facebook group too! We are now into double figures of mumsnet December babies.

glastogal · 29/11/2017 07:59

Ooh @tuxedocat congratulations!!! That's marvellous news - so glad minitux arrived safe and well Wine hope you are recovering well too. Yay for babies GrinGrin
