I'm also getting the weird stretchy, occasionally stabby tummy pains. Below my ribs has been a been a bit sore last night too. Just putting it down to things happening and hoping for the best.

Can't see who asked now as on the previous page but we bought our car seat at a mothercare event as they had an expert there, and discount, and ended up getting a maxi cosi. Now it will stay in its box for 6 months 😂

fishfingerSarnies · 24/06/2017 07:15

We are going to get a big one (car seat) that does all stages, probably the joey stages I think it's called. Saves money in the long run as you aren't having to buy car seats after a year it's also extended rear facing my big 2 year old is rear facing still in his.

glastogal · 24/06/2017 07:17

We are going for an extended rear facing one too fishfinger! I think we might get the joie one or one we saw from Recarro.. decisions, decisions!

TootsyBella84 · 24/06/2017 08:31

I didn't think about car seats expiring.. We still have the infant seat we used with my youngest (maxi cosi cabriofix) so we were just planning on using that and we have an isofix Base for it. When do car seats expire?!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/06/2017 08:40

We're going to go with the maxi cosi pebble plus I think. Change up to the 2 way when LB outgrows it.

Hey glasto! How is glasto?

Thanks Miami, I know, it's hopefully normal but last night my tummy felt funny quite low down and I think I started to panic. Feeling ok this morning. One of my friends said she could feel movements by now. I've not noticed anything! I'm definitely getting bigger though!

We don't know what to do about car seat, we have one from DHs sister which is a mothercare one. she is also going to sell her icandy peach (think it's a 2 model) to us if we want it, so we might buy a car seat that fits onto that and the adaptor..... going to a mothercare event next week so will learn about that then hopefully.

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/06/2017 09:01

Ooooh and I'm 16 weeks now. Yay!

fishfingerSarnies · 24/06/2017 09:13

I had a lot of pains last night in my stomach. I had to sit in the bath to try ease it. Don't remember anything like it with my last two pregnancies but is settled down today so I'm just forgetting about it.

Back to feeling sick today, and thrown up twice getting up early with my toddler definitely makes it worse.

Zaberwocky · 24/06/2017 09:16

Scots how are you doing now? Has the sickness calmed down?

Brens Grin you can get it out and play with it you know. It doesn't NEED to live in the box! I'm still so happy you feel good about buying stuff now though.

Family (my side obviously ...) are coming up for a visit. My mother has already apparently filled the boot with her purchases 😂 I'll update when they get here!

Brens13 · 24/06/2017 10:01

biker that's exactly what we've done. Just thought it would be handy to be able to use the car seat as a carrier which you can't with some of the bigger ones as they don't have handles.

Haha zaber I don't imagine it will be long before it's out the box, but probs doesn't need to be in the car just yet! Defo ready for shopping now. Me and my sister are having a wish list making shopping trip next weekend, can't wait!

How's your job going?

QueenEnid · 24/06/2017 11:36

I have the britax dualfix for my daughter and have just bought another one for the new baby. Mothercare had it down to £289 in the sale in black. New covers are only £40 if you want to change colour!

I can highly recommend this seat. It does a full 360 so suitable for front and rear facing up to 18kg

Brens13 · 24/06/2017 12:17

Ugh, DH in a grump. As part of a convo told him that for the first 2-3 weeks (in my head more like 6-8) I wouldn't want anyone staying at the house. They could come and say hi but not stay over. His parents live 2 hours away. He's obviously assumed they'd stay if the came to visit baby. I think I'm being totally normal in my wish. He obviously doesn't. Lovely.

Carley27 · 24/06/2017 12:19

You're definitely being normal brens, I can't imagine many people want guests staying over that early!

My in laws are a few hours away and it's a matter of time before we have this conversation 🙄 they are more than welcome to visit but they can find somewhere else to stay!

Oysterbabe · 24/06/2017 12:27

I'm with you Brens. My in-laws live 2 hours away and my parents 4 hours away. If they visit in the first month they'll stay in a hotel. I want to be able to sit on the sofa all night with my boobs out watching box sets during clusterfeeding without feeling worried about people walking in.

Brens13 · 24/06/2017 12:30

Thanks carley. He defo takes it that I'm just saying that to his family, but mine are closer and are the sort to need to be invited rather than intrude so I know we don't have to worry about them. I think I'm going to have to have the convo with his mum soon as otherwise it will continue to hang over us. I think she'll understand if I explain, tho I don't think it'll entirely stop her trying! I hope you have better luck when the subject is raised x

Brens13 · 24/06/2017 12:33

Exactly oyster I just think poor DH has no idea what it's going to be like and I'd rather so no now, with the chance of feeling OK and saying they can come sooner, than say yes but feel utter rubbish throughout. (MiL is the type who in the morning will probably tell me exactly how many times baby woke up in the night and other such useful nuggets of info!)

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/06/2017 12:38

Brens I don't think that's unreasonable. My mum lives a while away and I've told her she can't stay during December. My dads asked us to go for Xmas as his which is only half an hour away, and we said yes depending on when the baby is born and how things are but we probably won't stay there. We just want to be in our own space, just the three of us for the first few weeks.

I'm having a total meltdown. Had my hair cut this morning now lying on the sofa feeling sick and my tummy feels funny again. Meant to be going out with DH, our friend and her little boy this afternoon. Bleurgh I feel awful.

rebs1993 · 24/06/2017 13:38

@QueenEnid thank you someone has added me already!

Well I'm struggling today with my 12 and half hour shift! 1st of 3!! Can't wait to get on to some night shifts and not have such a heavy shift! Just wondering what everyone else does for work and how they are coping ? Hoping I'm not alone! Sad

CarlottaJo · 24/06/2017 14:23

After months of the very opposite issue the pregnancy constipation has well and truly got me Sad

MontyPants · 24/06/2017 15:25

The hormones have really got me today. DH went to help my dad assemble a shed this morning while I was asleep from night shifts. But he's still out running errands and I'm so upset. It's totally irrational! I just want him home. Gosh these hormones are silly!!!

Carley27 · 24/06/2017 16:35

Just booked our gender scan for two weeks time Grin Grin Grin

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/06/2017 18:55

Hope work is going ok Rebs!

Monty hope you are feeling ok, do you know when he will be back? Hope it's not too long now.

I'm totally beat today. Just sat on the sofa now eating my tea! Ready for bed Shock
