Hello everyone! Can I join you please? I've been a member of the January 2018 babies group as my edd was 31.12.17, however it's now 26.12.17 and due to a velamentous cord insertion im strongly considering a c section so will be mid December I think!

Hope everyone is having a happy healthy pregnancy so far :)

Brens13 · 22/09/2017 20:28

Of course you can join! Welcome and congratulations. If you would like we also have a private Facebook group that now sees a lot more action than this thread. 8f you would like to then if you pm me your email address I can add you. Absolutely fine if not, but I know lots don't check here anymore and didn't want you to miss out x

ScotsLamb · 24/09/2017 09:56

Welcome pickled. Hope all is well with you apart from having to have baby early.

My bump has been annoying me over the last two days. It's so solid and stretched all the time. No longer joogly fatness. I'm 27 weeks today and gained 1kg since booking in appointment. I'm a bit concerned that it's not enough although I was only just in the normal range at booking in.

Reading back I think I'm having a worrying weekend!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 26/09/2017 08:37

I know what you mean, @ScotsLamb. Bump getting very distended and heavy. Great aesthetically that I’m all bump, but less great to carry around! Tailbone and lower back have been killing me recently too, I imagine from the increased weight and general mass...

Looking forward to the baby shows coming up to complete any missing items from my lists though 🙂

ScotsLamb · 26/09/2017 21:20

My inability to sleep is back! Tried everything with pillows and no pillows to stop my back being sore or my bump hurting. I'm guessing baby is growing lots as my bump feels like it's ready to explode. When it's not exploding it feels like baby is going to fall out. Can you tell I've had a bad day?!?

Mrsbluebell17 · 26/09/2017 21:47

Hey sorry for the recent radio silence from me. Scots I totally get it, I feel exactly the same. Can’t get comfy at all.

ScotsLamb · 26/09/2017 21:57

I dread to think what 38 weeks will be like :-(

Mrsbluebell17 · 26/09/2017 22:17

Hey @ScotsLamb I know!!! I can’t find a comfy position, with or without pillows, and still find I sometimes wake up on my back too which I know I shouldn’t do but can’t seem to stop! Anyone else?

In other news, I’m feeling lots more of baby movement nowadays. I’ve also been hit with some stretch marks now. How is everyone else doing?

Brens13 · 27/09/2017 08:06

Hello! I can sleep, but always wake up with a bad back, and struggle to get comfy, but think I'm so tired I fall asleep anyway. My back is most comfy if I'm slightly on my front, but little one wriggles like crazy if I do so am not sure it's comfy for them. If I'm on my side my bump defo doesn't feel supported, pillow or not and I think that's why my back hurts. No idea what to do.
Have lots of wriggles most days now which is lovely and also have some stretch marks, which is not so lovely!

fishfingerSarnies · 27/09/2017 19:35

I'm the same Brens, I sleep on my stomach on a double duvet sort of padded round me and propping me up thats the only way not to get hip or back pain for me.

feelingcalledlove · 28/09/2017 13:12

Hey everyone, sorry it's been ages since I've posted on here, struggling to keep up with both this and Facebook! Am finding the same with sleep, have got a big pregnancy pillow which works well for getting to sleep but I wriggle so much in the night that I wake up in some really weird (and uncomfortable) positions.... Not really sure what to do about that!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 29/09/2017 09:19

Yep, back pain (kind of the top of my left glute?) and tailbone pain too. Sleep has been horrendous lately. 31+ weeks now - I don’t know how I’m gonna cope with the next few weeks either!!

Eseld93 · 05/10/2017 11:02

Hello, I hope you don't mind my posting on this thread.
I'm due December 13th 17 with my second little boy. I'm 30 weeks and one day.

Brens13 · 05/10/2017 11:55

Hi eseld93 welcome to the December group and congratulations. If you are interested, we also have a private facebook group that has sprung from this thread. It is very active, so not many get the chance to check back here. If you would like to join you can PM me your email address and I'll get an invite sent over. No problem if not, but I didn't want you to not get the interaction you were after. Congrats again x

Beck2017 · 11/10/2017 19:54

Hey everyone, I'm 32+4 and would like to join the FB group. Can someone add me please x

ScotsLamb · 11/10/2017 23:40

Hi Becks!

Welcome. If you send me a pm with your email address I can add you in.

ScotsLamb · 18/10/2017 07:40

How is everyone doing?
My sleep is still very up and down. Sometimes I'm asleep all night, others I can't get to sleep and then some I'm awake every couple of hours. Last night every time I woke up I had braxton hicks tightening. I'm wondering if that is what is waking me up.
Feeling better than I was a few weeks ago and now very much counting down the days/weeks until maternity leave.

fishfingerSarnies · 18/10/2017 10:12

Sleep is going ok for me. I have to say dh being away makes sleep easier as I have a king size duvet and all the pillows to myself. The of night he’s home it’s much harder to sleep so one benefit to him working away Sad

My hips are quite sore but I have a support thing that’s helping.
8 weeks today until section!

ScotsLamb · 18/10/2017 21:44

Ooh. You have a proper date for welcoming baby! How is your preparation going? When do you finish work?

fishfingerSarnies · 19/10/2017 13:29

Well I have done 0 prep, still need to buy some stuff as we gave it all away after our last baby. My dh is back for a couple of weeks in November so we will do some prep then.
I’m not working I’m a sham so there’s no stop date, just dealing with the current kids.
How are you feeling?

ScotsLamb · 19/10/2017 21:23

I'm feeling really good actually. 30+4 and just heartburn plus iron tablets to contend with. Seem to have regained some energy. We shall see how long that lasts!

beltanelove · 19/10/2017 21:23

Hello. Late to the party but I'm due 6th December. My second child, a girl. Could i please have an invite to fb group too? Smile

Brens13 · 20/10/2017 07:44

Hi beltanelove welcome and congratulations. If you want to join the facebook group just send me a PM with your email address and I'll get an invite sent over ASAP x

ScotsLamb · 20/10/2017 18:16

Hi ladies

I have tried adding those who have PMed me (out4thecount, beltanelove, ml3jp and Beck2017).

If you have not had a notification from Facebook that you have been added could you give Brens13 a pm and she will be able to add you.

I've no idea why it has stopped working!

Brens13 · 23/10/2017 07:56

The email links seem to be playing up I think Scots - very annoying! I've sent beltanelove and Beck2017 a message, so if the other two would still like to join then please pop me a PM. We might have to become temporary facebook friends in order for me to add you as the email is not behaving.
