Are you recovered then GMM? Hope you enjoy your day

geordiemacminx · 23/03/2007 09:07

Yeah not feeling too bad actually, had a reasonable amount of sleep which has done me the world of good!!!

Everything ok down there? Dont think I'll be down til the baby is here now, as driving myself last time was a nightmare.. still we are supposed to be going to liverpool next weekend for the arsenal game... will be taking hospital bag with me just in case.. Dp would be absolutely over the moon if I gave birth down there - it would truely be his dream come too... infact he might even want to have sex with me!!!

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 09:14

Fine here thanks! Hope you have a liverpool baby then - don't forget your notes!

geordiemacminx · 23/03/2007 09:18

he's still a bit early to be coming yet... much as I would love it I would hate to wish him to be here because of my own impaitence and then from him to be poorly.. not 35 weeks til tuesday...

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 09:28

Oh I didn't think before posting that - sorry! Sending 'stay in' vibes your way!

charNbump · 23/03/2007 09:30

Do i need to go to a health food shop or summit? xxxxxx

Also sending hugs to all peeps who really aren't feeling great at the moment - keep smilin ladies

oooggs · 23/03/2007 09:30

1b3 feel for you hun, I'm with you all the way. I have no doubt that you feel shit with dh being an idiot with everything else.

I am still in prison,...... sorry hospital and hope to be out today....not sure how long for!!!

someone hurry up and produce baby/babies.

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 09:34

charNBump - I found it in Holland and Barrett, sure most health food shops will have it. Now I've decided I want the tablets though!!

doghouse · 23/03/2007 09:38

Just a quickie post to say hi and a special {hug} to 1B3 - it does seem rather unreasonable that they can't help you along a bit and even more unreasonable of DH. but as everyone has said you have done so well - hang in there.
have been reading a positive birth stories thread (see Mumsnet home page) - a must read for all of us first timers! x

Eddas · 23/03/2007 09:40

Been reading evryones posts and i'm off to get raspberry leaf tablets today, pleeeeaase bring on labour. Had totally forgotten about them this time! I took them last time and it never occured to me that they'd helped at all as i had to be induced. But reading the link that Katy provided(thanks!!) i did go from only a few cm's dilated to fully dilated very quickly so maybe they did do something after all. Mind you in my usual hap-hazard way i'm sure i didn't take them regularly, but i will this time!!!

1b3 & ooggs, want to repeat the others again i really do think of you both a lot and have such admiration for you both with the dt's. ooggs hope you are able to get out today, 1b3 at dh on your behalf what an ass, fingers crossed that the hospital is better today

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 23/03/2007 09:41

1B3 - I think the way they treated you yesterday is unacceptable - when you go in today be firm and say you want to see doctor asap - if not I would throw complete hissy fit, cry and cry and cry and cry until someone did something - they could atleast make you comfortable fgs. Keep ringing the bell until they do something - you're past the stage of worrying about botherirng them or being a pita so stand your ground!

Ooh that was a good rant

Maveta - have a lovely day with your sister

Birdie - you made me chuckle!

Have no plans for today so may pop into Bath and have a nice coffee and cake and look at raspberry leaf stuff!

Emmymummy · 23/03/2007 10:01

1B3 - totally agree with what others have said - go in and make an almighty fuss, cry & cry & tell them you're not coping. They cannot be allowed to ignore you. I just do not understand how they cannot give you a date for you c-section a.s.a.p. Really got my fingers crossed for you honey, you sound so down. Please, please make them understand that you need some help now.

Bramshott · 23/03/2007 10:05

Have enjoyed catching up, but now my brain feels like mush and I have nothing of any interest at all to say!

My friend who was due yesterday emailed pics of her little girl who arrived last weekend so had an "ahhhhh" moment looking at those. Nice that this bump has a little friend already!

Getting a bit stressed now as my friend who was supposed to be having DD when we go to hospital now tells me she is away from next Tuesday for a week!! Arggghhh!! I have other people I can send DD to, and with any luck it will be a weekend so my mum can come over, but still feel very worried about it as I think we'll just have to play it by ear and call the most appropriate person for the time of day / day of week etc.

I keep having loads of BHs or something in the night, get convinced it is all kicking off, and then being surprised to wake up in the morning still intact and no contractions! I guess it's my body 'limbering up' and could go on for weeks .

Lots of hugs to everyone this morning - sending "get them out" vibes to all who want them out asap, and "keep them in" vibes to all who want them to stay in a bit longer!!

96 rolls of turf arriving later today which should give DH something to keep him busy over the weekend .

Bramshott · 23/03/2007 10:08

Emmymummy - when do you start your maternity leave? If next Fri then that's the same as me - maybe we can manage to meet up over the Easter hols? I'll email you.

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 10:30

Ditto to Bramshott's "keep 'em in" vibes to all those (like me) who want to go a little longer .... and "GET OUT NOW!!!" vibes to all those hwo wanna hold their little bubba in their arms RIGHT NOW!!

Saw my friends week old bubba yesterday - she was yummmmeeee! Smelt gorgeous, so schnuggy and small - made me feel v.broody, which is good as I am getting v.nervous abo having this one atm ......

Hello and Welcome to bumble and to LesleyR - they're all coming out of the woodwork now!!

Hope your sis' op goes well today runny - Let us know ..... she is a brave lady!

What time is your scan maveta? - Enjoy seeing your LO!

Oh 1B3 - COME ON BABIES - [[[[[[hugs]]]] sweetie - wish there was so much more I could do or say. Have you got anyone close who can help you through this time?? I really do hope the twins decide to pop soon sweetie. Kisses.

I am feeling bit spaced and sicky today, which is not nice. Left my coat at friend's yesterday, which is annoying as it looks like it is going to be a nasty sort of day here on the "Sunny South Coast" DH coming home this PM so we can take the girlies swimming, which is nice. He is widening our driveway all day tomorrow so taking the DD's to soft play or a farm (depending on weather) tomorrow PM with MIL and friend. It'll be sooo nice to actually be able to park in the driveway at last ..... hoping it is good weather for him and his friend who is helping him ....

Love, [Hugs] and Babydust to all. xxxx

Lusciousladylush · 23/03/2007 10:38

Hi all,

Can I ask if any one has recently gone completely scatty. Not just the normal dizzy and forgetful, but acting like brain has fallen out of bottom.

Having waddled lurchingly (if there is sucha word) to the tube from the office, I then realised I'd left my tube pass and my work pass on my desk...so when I waddled in v bad mood back to work, had to find secuirty guard to let me back in to pick up both passes and waddle back to the tube again, round trip of 40 mins (so not impressed!...... then whilst at charing cross station waiting for train, I was hit by bad hunger pains and really fancied some food, only to realise I now didn't have my purse.. (left it at home I later found out), and only had 30p in my pocket. Only silly things I know - but thank goodness today is last day at work, I think they might be realising my brain and I no longer have a relationship!.

commierations to you all with pains and bad sleep I joined the gang last night and hardly got a wink with the painful twinges I have been getting in lower belly. Don't remember this first time round! Still want to try and keep baby in a little longer as am only 36 wks! xxx

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 10:45

LLL - DITTO!!!! [hugs]] Totally sympathy from the "Dippier than Ever" Camp!!

Lusciousladylush · 23/03/2007 10:49

Phew!

Was beginning to think I'd completely lost the plot.

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 11:18

Nope - my brain is complete mush .....

oooggs · 23/03/2007 11:20

have now seen the chest clinic and am going onto steriods. can't wait!!! should be home later xx

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 11:23

Hope they really help sweetie - Glad you are going home - Put your feet up if poss! [hugs Not long now .......

nellyhel · 23/03/2007 11:37

1b3 - I was going to moan about my bad nights sleep and bad mood at dh this morning who left for work doing nothing for anyone except himself but you really put it in perspective. Echo other comments, I would probably be sat on floor stamping my feet (if that is possible?) and refusing to move until I was seen and sorted out. Mind you probably wouldn't be able to get back up off floor without help anyway. Still it is easy for us to say.
My friend had twin girls when I had ds and alhtough the first few weeks were v hard and sleepless, she got them into a routine by about 6 weeks and they slept all night. My ds took until about 18 months despite all my good intentions of not repeating mistakes of dd! I was exhausted. The other thing I remember is how fed up she got with "oh, are they twins" and "are they both girls" comments (two tiny babies dressed the same in pink) in supermarket etc. Used to take her ages to get anywhere. Maybe you could start planning smart responses for that one? Sorry, you probably can't think much beyond today so this is probably just irritating you - but really good luck.

Can't believe this morning nearly gone, supposed to be making biscuits for play group coffee morning, tidying stuff that was moved for decorating, and endless other things. Am also bad mummy reading mumsnet while ds trying to get attention building power rangers with lego. Will go and make some baddies and a megazord to get over my guilt... at least he has got bored with tv and switched that off!

Good luck to those nearly in labour, sorry I can't keep up enough to mention speoifics, and hope everyone has as good a day as they can .

(Oh finally, someone mentioned Edinburgh, I am about 30 miles away so there must be quite a few of us) Right really must go now...

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 23/03/2007 11:41

Morning all.

I am so angry for you 1b3 - and so sorry that they are messing you about. Can you talk to someone at the hospital about how you are feeling psychologically as well as physically. I remember when pg with Becky, and whilst only a week overdue, I was beginning to get mentally stressed and also started to resent pregnancy/baby, so I know where you are coming from. I really hope you can get some answers today and they take some positive action.

Oogs, really pleased you are able to go home today.

Maveta, good luck with the scan and have fun with your sister.

Ellie, hope you get the money owed to you - not what you need at the moment on top of everything else.

GMM, glad you are feeling better and enjoy the Chinese buffet.

Hope everyone else is ok, or as ok as possibly can be.

All ok here. Slept well, B still dry, and dh being a lot calmer with B. Baby is moving around like a nutter which is quite painful.

Have the plumbers in today fitting a water softener so the place is a tip, but I am trying to ignore it! Hopefully going out to lunch with dh shortly, as he is working from home this am.

Lots of love to you all.

geordiemacminx · 23/03/2007 11:44

Nellyhel - whereabouts are you?

bumble75 · 23/03/2007 11:46

Just a quick sneaky post as am supposed to working but really can't muster up much motivation (9 more working days till mat leave!)

1becomes3 - sending you huge hugs and ditto to kicking up a fuss, you need to be looked after properly.

LLL - have completely lost my mind, got so excited that local M&S now has mat clothes section that didn't check size of tights I was buying and came home with a small - I am almost 5ft 8! Luckily petite girl in office also pregnant so went to a good home.

Thanks for the welcome messages from everyone, is defo the friendliest board on mn!

Not good news last night - dh has been made redundant... not great timing but on the upside he'll prob get good package & we can hang out during my mat leave and he may get to spend more time at home once baby is born.

Was supposed to be quick so must resume pretending to work...

Hugs and good vibes to all.
