LOL Octo, I keep getting lots of "how ARE you" and "you must be feeling big/tired/fed up...." when actually I am feeling alright. Of course I would like to meet baby but I am in no rush not to be pregnant (yet).

DH gone to golf lesson (yes, in dark!) and am bored - going to find crap maternity tv programme to watch.

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:04

Am bored too. Think I have done most of baby "planning" and now just counting days. I wish someone would hurry up and drop!!!

WestCountryLass · 22/03/2007 21:04

Nooooooooooooooooooooo runs away screaming

Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:06

Have had 2 people tell me they took caster oil and both had their babies within 24hours, so if you're desperate it's the thing to try.

Am as have just booked tickets to see Cirque du Soliel's show at the Albert Hall for February 2008! And only just managed to get really good seats as apparently they are 'selling like hotcakes'. Took Em to see Alegria in January and she absolutley loved it.

Opinions - will tickle your fancy on colourful pasts, one memorable evening involved the dance of the flaming arseholes. Ahem. Will leave the details to your imagination methinks.......

WestCountryLass · 22/03/2007 21:07
Hmm
Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:09

Oh God have just re-read that last post. I was just watching the dance by the way, not actually participating.

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:10

Yeh we'll believe you. Am just trying to imagine what it involved exactly...can just picture loads of bums on fire??

Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:12

Yes definately on the right lines. Also loo roll involved....

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:15

Loo roll on fire and bums on fire. The mind boggles. And dancing you say???

Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:17

Oh yeah, fit, naked men dancing.....

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:21

Now you're talking. How fit??

Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:21

Army fit!

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:25

You and your army. I bet you're looking over your shoulder right now just to make sure no-ones checking up on you.

Its funny you say that cos I had a dream last night about 3 really fit guys and they were kind of army ish and we all had to make a get away together in a speed boat - ahem??

Not 3 all to myself of course. Very questionable but very real at the time. My dreams seem to be getting worse???

Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:27

Lol - it's OK, dh is sitting opposite me and has no idea what I'm typing, although he's probably wondering why I'm smiling to myself.

3 men? Now that's just greedy!

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:31

No there was one each as far as I can remember. One of those lovely hazy, summer type dreams where you're all pre-pregnancy and young and toned and its just all too good to be true, oh god I want this baby out soon!!!

Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:36

Tell me about it. Keep lusting over all the lovely summer clothes that are appearing in the shops and looking longingly at the contents of my wardrobe wondering & hoping I'll be able to get back into any of it this summer. Will I ever dare bare my stomach again or is it tankinis for me from now onwards?

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:37

No offence baby but I've had enough now - its time to get back to that gym!!

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:39

As far as my stomach is concerned I think its had it. I think I am going to go on serious weight loss mission and then back to the gym and then when all else fails then go under the knife, if the stars can do it why not us. And while they're at it they can get to work on those stretchmarks too.

Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:41

Oh yes definately! Gym, bike, walking, swimming, yoga....I'll take the lot please! Even lusting after the dreaded spinning classes - hell on earth whilst doing them, but they get you fit quickly. Just hope we have the energy to partake in these delights!

mammyjo · 22/03/2007 21:42

Havent heard mention of the dance of the flaming arseholes for years! A definite favourite at the local rugby club among young and often the not so young men Not particularly fond memories of that one although quite amusing as long as not taking part! (I didnt take part BTW just in case you were wondering!)

Clarice, the antibiotics for baby are actually recommended by the group b strep support group who are seemingly well respected. Ultimately its better to be cautious with it, I think I have just worked myself up because all the memories of poorly ds came racing back to me today.

Welcome LesleyR to the friendliest thread on mumsnet.

I have been taking my raspberry leaf tabs for a couple of weeks now. Mine are 900mg and I take one twice a day as per the lady in the shops instructions. Maybe thats why I am suffering although I took the exact same dose last time without any of this so who knows? Did end up with ventouse delivery but otherwise fairly straightforward and took 15 hours from waters breaking to delivery. Didnt think that was too bad for a first baby that weighed 8lb 11oz!

babysopiniontakesover · 22/03/2007 21:43

Energy or pro-plus or even ephedrine at a push???

Emmymummy · 22/03/2007 21:45

My big comfort is the fact that this is my last pregnancy, so any effort I make post-baby isn't a waste, IYKWIM. I always felt that all those sit-ups pre this preganancy were a bit of a waste of time, knowing it would all go to pot if/when I got pregnant again.
