I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Hi to all the newbies! @unicorn when is your scan? Maybe go for a private one in a few weeks if it will help your anxiety

Scan is 23rd August at very early o clock! (Good, less time to get stressed on the day) It'll take a good few weeks for booking appt to come through, so still don't know when that is. I'm thinking of private scan at 10 weeks, as I'll be nearly 13 by the time of my nuchal scan. Just need to convince dh, as he's not keen!

Welcome newbies! I did another test this morning, just to check as the previous two I did were very faint. A definite positive, which my achy boobs and desire to sleep continuously could have told me anyway . Called the midwife team but they won't deal with me till I'm six weeks'. They don't seem to understand that I'm very impatient and want to do things NOW!

@Fefifoefum yeah, much easier! Apparently nicotine is gone from the body in 72 hours from last cig so I don't think I can use that as an excuse for moodiness anymore haha all hormones now!
@DancingUnicorn August is aaaaages to wait!! How much would it be for a private scan? I'd be tearing my hair out waiting for that lol

I am terrible at keeping secrets so my close family knows already, and my OH seems to be even worse; he's pretty much been telling everyone he meets in the street (he's very excited) and actually told some of his friends I was pregnant before I even was, despite my telling him off for jinxing it all! And then my mum gave me a 'look' while we were out so a friend sussed me out too...

And some stats:
Age 25
First human baby due 4/3/18, although I do already have a mini menagerie of fur babies!

Ooh and he met a psychic today who told him he was expecting his first child (true) and that we would have three together (I want 4 eventually so that's close) and that I was younger than him (true) and that it would be a girl so I'm pleased if that's true too!!

@givemethetea mine said 5 weeks too I was like don't you know how impatient I am! Plus going to wait to tell everyone after first 12 weeks scan like I did last time. Have been struggling to keep it in!

We haven't told anyone yet, but will be telling immediate family this weekend. We'll wait to tell DD until after the scan though, otherwise she'll tell all her friends at nursery, and I don't want the staff knowing yet!

Last time we waited till the scan before we told anyone at all, and that was so hard! We've got loads of events this summer though, so I need people on side who know why I'm not drinking, cos that's very unusual for me

What fur babies do you have, HappyHippy? I can't have any at the moment, so have to take vicarious pleasure in everyone else's pets!

I can't wait to get appointment dates! I was at school on my feet for 10.5 hours today. Beyond exhausted! Early night on the cards.

Ah amazing flat due date buddies! I'm thinking of an early private scan. 12 weeks seems too long to wait! How early can you get one does anyone know?

With you flat, I have 2x 13hr shifts this weekend, I'm already in bed!

Morning lovely ladies! I've been awake since 6, and I'm tired but can't get back to sleep. @Dancing, I've got 3 weeks to go! Am lucky I'll have the summer hols if I get sickness etc! Talking of sickness, has anyone had any yet? I haven't, but apparently it's unusual to have it at 4 weeks.
@rex, from what I've read, most women who get an early, private scan have it done at 8 weeks.

Morning @flat! No sickness here yet, long may it continue... here's hoping for a rapid next three weeks so you can finish work and I get my appointment!

@givemethetea at the moment I have three dogs and a ferret and a hamster.. which actually doesn't seem like a lot now, since my ex got cat custody and I used to have four ferrets but their numbers have gradually dropped in the last year... Now I'm thinking new pets.. must resist... how come you can't have any? There's always room for a goldfish!! lol

Morning all! I've been feeling slightly sick for the last couple of days, but I also have a sore throat so it's probably a virus rather than morning sickness.

They're all so cute, HappyHippy! I'm renting, and the landlord won't let us have pets.

Woke up this morning with sort of a room spinning feeling. Half way between dizziness and nausea. Hoping the nausea isn't going to be horrific.

Advice needed ladies! Going out for dinner tonight, and my friend keeps messaging me about cocktails! What should I do?! The antibiotics story won't wash as she knows I'm not ill! Help!

How good a friend? My friend knew about my mc and was with her earlier this week at drinking event. So she guessed and I just told her. But she's my closest friend... so didn't feel too bad. Could try not wanting to be hung over. Or the dentist thing... it's the antibiotics for dental things where you genuinely can't drink at all...? So not ill. Is it just the two of you?

Had a slight panic this morning when I saw some very slightly pink tinged discharge. Non since and trying to reassure myself it's very common. Sore boobs and very tired but no other symptoms here.

Oh speechie, it's probably nothing. But understandable to have a little panic. I'm still on knicker watch after almost a full week of spotting after bfp, which fingers crossed has stopped now!

Thank unicorn. Glad your spotting has stopped. I think I'm going to book a resurrance scan at 8 weeks to hopefully make me feel a little more relaxed. I also need to tell work fairly early and would rather have a scan first.

She is actually a really good friend. However, it has just been postponed as two of the girls coming have a sickness bug! Quite glad, really, as I'm absolutely shattered after such a busy fortnight.

Does anyone know what their body temp is at the moment? Mine has been hovering around 37.5 - 37.7 which seems a bit high? I don't feel ill though. I do know your body temp is higher in pregnancy though.

Speechie, it sounds like an implantation bleed, from what I remember from last time. As I recall, it's only a cause for concern if the bleeding becomes much heavier or if there are any clots.

Can I join please? I'm 4w2d after my first donor egg ivf cycle. Still feeling a bit surreal and cautiously optimistic as it doesn't feel real! Waiting for my quantitative beta blood test on Monday but already had a blood test confirming it's a positive over 25.
I'm 39, dh is 46 this month, this will be our first child together hopefully!!!

So far my symptoms have been an elevated temp, cramps on and off, and just feeling a bit off generally. I think my sense of smell is increased as suddenly I can smell more gross stuff lol.
