I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

countdowntofour I've been on the other side, a good friend of mine fell with her 2nd last year, also doesn't live close to me, but she sent me a message explaining, she said she felt so bad about it but wanted to let me in on the "secret" early as I was a trusted friend. By doing that she made me feel special and gave me longer to adjust as well so by the time she told the rest of our group I could show genuine happiness. I mean I was genuinely happy for her anyway but I could show it in public with getting a wobble if that makes sense. Good luck though, it's never easy x

OrangeCloud18 · 19/07/2017 06:59

Aaaaaand I threw up again this morning! Only managed to reach the kitchen sink though Blush
Hope everyone else's morning is starting better than mine!

Flatwhite31 · 19/07/2017 07:17

Oh poor you @OrangeCloud18! I have been feeling sick ALL night. Still no throwing up though. I seem to just be getting constant nausea all day instead. I keep getting an upset stomach in the mornings too. Pregnancy is so attractive! Haha!

aeyzsm · 19/07/2017 08:09

Hi Ladies please may I join? Got my BFP yesterday. I'm not due AF til Friday but just had this feeling...five tests later with lines that came up straight away, there's little doubt!! Terrified that AF might still arrive on Friday...I think I'm going to worry my way through the next nine months. According to DD calculators my DD is 30 March. This is our first! X

Doublegloucester · 19/07/2017 08:13

Welcome, aeyzsm!

Just been catching up on the thread - pantsnot Grin
Nothing very exciting to report here, except all-day nausea and feeling constantly knackered! Yawn!

SheSaidHeSaid · 19/07/2017 08:39

Morning everyone!

7 weeks today and got my reassurance scan tonight, I can't wait, just want today to go by quickly.

Symptoms don't seem as bad today, unless I'm just getting used to them. Been getting slight cramping feeling but think that's just everything stretching to make room.

whyhastherumgone · 19/07/2017 08:55

Hello all, I'm very tentatively joining at 4 weeks + 4. I've been lurking and wasn't going to join until I've had an early scan but figured I was being silly.

Had a MMC last year in December which I found out at 9 weeks had stopped progressing at 6, so am hoping to book a private scan at 7ish weeks as midwives here won't see you til between 8-10 weeks.

So far slightly different to last time - no sore boobs [well only occasionally] but by the end of the day I am so bloated, on and off upset stomach [nice!] and so so tired. I seem to wake up every morning feeling like I haven't slept, feel ok in the morning then shattered again in the afternoon. I also had a week of feeling weirdly queasy before I took the test, that seems to have settled a bit now although I'm still getting a weird dizzy/lightheaded feeling I can't really describe properly.

This would be our first. Cautiously happy but mainly just waiting to see what happens - I thought I would be incredibly anxious this time but actually feel a lot more chilled about things - what I realised last time is that you can stress and worry [I did pretty much from the get go, I was an anxious mess] but it doesn't change anything anyway.

Good luck to everyone who has early scans planned in this week!

SophSoph92 · 19/07/2017 09:23

I'm officially 5w today 🎉🎉 I'm really lightheaded too @whyhastherumgone, almost like everything shifts when I stand up or turn around??
I'm feeling more sick today, but oddly I love all my symptoms; tells me something's still going on in there!

Sallywiththegoodhurr · 19/07/2017 09:38

I'm 4 weeks today (I got my BFP at 3+2!) and the symptoms have started to kick in, I've got so much wind in the evenings Blush it was exactly the same throughout my last pregnancy too Blush

Please tell me i'm not the only one? I feel like violet from charlie and the chocolate factory - just slightly less blue Grin

Banania · 19/07/2017 09:55

Nausea is pretty bad here too at 6+1. I went to bed at 8.30 last night and slept on and off until 6.20ish. I am.so glad that the dc sleep through now so I could actually do that (!) And am already dreading going back to sleepless nights.Shock

Hope everyone is doing ok. I've a house to clean, visitors to prepare for, and a delivery coming soon. Need to start getting my ass into gear. This is my first summer off work, so far it's not been overly productive I must say.

whyhastherumgone · 19/07/2017 09:59

@SophSoph92 that's exactly it - almost like vertigo! It's such a strange sensation. I've also got a weird taste in my mouth on and off - not metallic as such but not pleasant either.

@Sallywiththegoodhurr I was exactly the same the week leading up to taking my test and still am now! Blush

I work for myself which is a luxury but also a nightmare as I need to motivate myself and so far this week I don't seem to be doing that well on that front! Good luck with all your prepping @Banania

stumblymonkeyagain · 19/07/2017 10:00

@Sallywiththegoodhurr

Love the username Grin

The pic below is me with my ridiculous 24/7 bloating. I'm in maternity clothes already as nothing fits...and just for scale I have G cup boobs and my stomach is still bigger!

Ignore the PJ/gym leggings outfit combo...it was the only comfortable thing I could find that would stretch Blush

whyhastherumgone · 19/07/2017 10:10

@stumblymonkeyagain that outfit looks super comfy! I've been living in sweatpants. How far along are you?

stumblymonkeyagain · 19/07/2017 10:11

I'm only 6+1....I have a tiny lentil in there somewhere with my massive gas baby!

SophSoph92 · 19/07/2017 10:19

Is it a lentil at 6w past LMP?! I thought it was only a sesame! Got them all written in my diary 😂

SophSoph92 · 19/07/2017 10:19

My bad!! I'm getting a week ahead of myself! 😂😂 ignore me 😇

SheSaidHeSaid · 19/07/2017 10:25

F sake.

Went to the loo and had pink when I wiped, now it's brown. Not loads but enough to be worried. I've called my GP and am waiting for them to call me back. Haven't told my DH as he is in a client meeting and at least an hour and a half away (by train), I don't want to unnecessarily worry him or make him want to come home in case it's nothing. I was meant to be going off to visit somewhere an hour away on the train for work but I'm holding off in case my Dr wants me to come in.

I'm panicking. I feel slightly crampy too so don't know what it means.

whyhastherumgone · 19/07/2017 10:30

@SheSaidHeSaid I know this is super easy for me to say, but try not to panic. Pink and brown can be normal during pregnancy, my friend had pink and brown spotting throughout - was it just a little when you wiped?

Keeping fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you that everything is fine xxx

Countdowntofour · 19/07/2017 10:34

@shesaidhesaid Brown is usually old blood, and light pink is really common so try not to panic, hopefully your gp can put your mind at rest though 💚 @poochieblue thankyou for your reply, I think you're right in that I just need to be brave and do it. Should I do it when I know she's at home? So she can react how she wants to? This'll be much easier once she knows lol.

stumblymonkeyagain · 19/07/2017 10:39

@SheSaidHeSaid

Can't add anything to the last comment, I know it must be a worrying thing though. Have all fingers and toes crossed and four cats with crossed paws for you...

xxHappyHippyxx · 19/07/2017 10:40

I thought it was sweet pea at 6 and blueberry at 7..?

I'm really grumpy today for no reason.. unless going to work counts lol also super tired and my boobs are getting ridiculous, some days more painful than others but they're like blimps!! Going to need more bras.. primark had quite a few wireless options last time I was in, for anyone who was worrying about that..

Got my midwife appt this evening, and I don't know what I need to ask.. suggestions welcome!

SheSaidHeSaid · 19/07/2017 10:44

Thanks everyone. Was only a little bit so hopefully nothing. I just generally feel I'm an unlucky person so have it in my head that it's not good. Thankfully my private scan is today anyway, talk about perfect timing. But will also take anything NHS offer me, if they do.

stumbley, as a crazy cat lady myself (albeit I only have two) this made me smile - 'and four cats with crossed paws for you'. Thank you Smile

whyhastherumgone · 19/07/2017 10:45

Is it your first appointment @xxHappyHippyxx?
Usually the midwife just goes through a bazillion questions with you about your medical history, your partner's medical history, how you're feeling then asks if you have any questions at the end - so if you have ay anxieties or anything like that I'd mention them/you can get advice on things you're not sure of [if anything] I think my booking in appointment last time took nearly two hours!! Not sure if it's the same for everyone tho. I also had bloods done and had to give a urine sample.

xxHappyHippyxx · 19/07/2017 10:46

@SheSaidHeSaid fingers crossed for you!! 🤞 bleeding isn't uncommon apparently, especially pink, most likely coming from cervix not in womb. And cramping also normal as everything is growing and changing. Another try not to panic and good luck! x

xxHappyHippyxx · 19/07/2017 10:48

@whyhastherumgone yeah first one, I think I've googled everything I want to know x1000000 so maybe it'll be quick lol
