I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Hi @Snowdog! Congratulations! So pleased for you. My cousin conceived at 39 with her first egg donor ivf cycle, and now has a gorgeous 4 year old girl!
I have an elevated temp too. We are practically at the same point - I'm 4 + 3 Smile.

DancingUnicorn · 01/07/2017 20:29

Hi snowdog. Yes, everything stinks!! Congratulations. Really hope everything goes smoothly!

rebbles · 02/07/2017 07:29

Hi @snowdog congratulations! Welcome.

GWeatherwax · 02/07/2017 07:31

Hi guys, can I join please? Got my BFP on Friday, think I'm 4 weeks today. I'm 28 and this will be our first Smile
Hi fefi and kittykat! waves

Apart from ravenous hunger and the odd
bit of cramping I'm feeling fine Smile (my temp is up but have stopped temping now). My bestie just had a gorgeous girl last night eee she's so cute!

GWeatherwax · 02/07/2017 07:33

hippy your furbabies are so cute Grin

Fevs · 02/07/2017 07:47

Hello all,
Can I join please?
I'm 35 and have a 2 yr old daughter.
We have been trying for a few months but then I found out a lost my job on Friday! Trying not to feel too stressed or anxious as I know that's not good for the baby but it's hard!
I think I'm due mid March, these first weeks are so tough! But I keep thinking have to think for the best 😊

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 07:49

Hi weatherwax! Congratulations. Here's hoping for a smooth journey ahead. I'm with you on the ravenous hunger!

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 07:50

Hi fevs yes, it's really tough. So many unknowns!

I'm so sorry about your job situation. That's crap. Will you be looking for something new? Must be hard not to be stressed.

Flatwhite31 · 02/07/2017 08:17

Hi @weather and @fevs! CongratsSmile. Love that this thread is getting bigger! Really sorry to hear about your job @fevs. Look after yourself.

I've definitely developed a craving over the last week or so - curry. Lol! I could eat it every day. No sickness yet!

Tiberius12 · 02/07/2017 08:22

Hi can I join too?
Got a faint BFP on Wednesday and just done another test and the line is so much clearer. My DD is 2 but I've had an early MC last year then had a MMC in March so I'm trying not to let myself get too excited. X

Fevs · 02/07/2017 08:46

Thanks guys, yes will try and find something new I think but ideally before the bump is too obvious!
Regardless this is such an exciting time for us all! Fingers and toes crossed that everything works out.
Can already tell it's going to be so much harder preggers with a 2 yr old! Ha

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 09:06

Tiberius hi, and congratulations! I also had mmc around March/April. Ive found it hard not to let myself fall for this little one, which is really scary. I really hope things go ok this time around!

Fevs yes, I can't imagine this with a toddler! I have my dh running around after me...

Flatwhite31 · 02/07/2017 09:20

Welcome and congrats @Tiberius Smile. Sorry to hear about your previous losses. Keeping everything crossed for you this time round.

I highly admire all of you who have toddlers while being pg! My 3 year old nephew and family are coming to stay next weekend. They live abroad, so I haven't seen them since our wedding in Feb. It's going to be tiring hosting and entertaining a toddler, but I'm looking forward to it!

ChaoticKate · 02/07/2017 10:07

Hi ladies, may I join?!
I got my BFP yesterday although I'm still convinced AF is going to arrive anytime. It doesn't feel at all real. I think technically I'm 5 weeks today based on the first day of my last period but probably less than that really as I have long cycles and ovulate later. So far I seem to have almost constant heartburn and lots of strange cramping and prickling feelings. My boobs can't make up their mind either - swinging from really sore to absolutely fine every 5 minutes!

Flatwhite31 · 02/07/2017 10:34

Hi @chaotic! Love your username. Congratulations Smile. I hear ya with the sore boobs, although mine are sore 24/7.

I'm also a bit confused with how many weeks I am. If I go by my last period, I'm 4+4, but I know for a fact I ovulated around 3-4 days early. We only DTD twice last month as I had been involved in a quite severe concussion accident at school on 22nd May which resulted in an overnight hospital stay, so wasn't in the mood for DTD a lot after that. Luckily, something convinced me to do an OPK on CD 11, and it was very positive. We DTD that day (10th June) and then again on Sun 11th June, then by Monday, the OPK was negative. I was still getting headaches from my accident, so we decided not to DTD for the rest of the month. So, either my period (had I not fallen pregnant) would have been 3-4 days early, or I just ovulated early in my usual 28 day cycle. Who knows!

It makes me laugh, as in my 3 previous cycles we were trying properly, yet it was the cycle where it was a half arsed effort that I fell pregnant! Am surprisingly nervous about it all, though, as I do think that given the circumstances, it was clearly 'meant to be'. As a result, I am often worrying that something will happen to my bean. Fingers crossed we all have a happy, healthy 9 months. Smile

WiIdfire · 02/07/2017 12:02

Hi, I'd like to join in! EDD 1st March-ish, second child (already have a two year old). Still very early days, but its nice to have a group to wait out the first 12 weeks with. Helloooo!

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 12:53

Hi chaotic and wildfire! I'm going to start losing track of people soon! Definitely good to have people to get through the early days with wildfire. It's pretty lonely feeling rubbish but not being able to tell people about it! (Well, I'm choosing not to tell people about it for now)

SS81C · 02/07/2017 14:48

Hello. Can I join too please.
Think I'm about 5+1 (edd of 2 March based on ovulation as I caught really quickly after stopping BF DD1so not sure about cycles)
I have a 22 month old.
Feeling tired and a bit nauseated and have totally gone off tea (which I usually love)
We haven't told anyone yet so hoping for some mama's to be to chat to. Seem to be super anxious this time round. Already gone through about 6 pregnancy tests!!
Xxx

Flatwhite31 · 02/07/2017 15:03

Welcome and congratulations @Wildfire and @SS8.
I agree @Dancing, it's so hard not telling people, especially my parents! As I said, I want to tell them in person, so I'm waiting another month as that's when I'll next see them.

SS81C · 02/07/2017 15:13

Im finding not telling people really hard this gime. Both my partner and I keep nearly dropping ourselves in it to family! What chatting to my MIL yesterday about childcare for my DD1 and was saying 'he's got his Rota up until February so I can work round that and then it won't matter anymore because I'll be on.....and then stopped abruptly.....she didn't ask but I do wonder if she now suspects.....

Fefifoefum · 02/07/2017 15:59

Welcome all the newbies! This is exciting! We need a list or something?! I norminate flat, this needs teacher organisation!

If one more person says 'you look tired' I may scream, yes that'll be the 36hrs in 3 days I've worked this weekend....

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 16:48

Oh fefi that sounds exhausting!!

Speechie14 · 02/07/2017 17:28

Hello to all the newbies. Exciting that numbers are growing so quickly and lovely to have some people to share the first few weeks with. We've told mine and my husbands parents as I'm rubbish at keeping secrets.

fefi that sounds hard. Hope you've now got some time off to put your feet up.

Flatwhite31 · 02/07/2017 18:25

@fefi you poor thing! I kept crying on Fri as I was so tired (well, that and hormones). Hope you get a chance to relax a bit now. What is it you do?

Just out of interest, where is everyone based? No pressure to answer that if you don't want to though. I'm in the South East of England.

DancingUnicorn · 02/07/2017 18:38

Me too flat!

So I've spent this weekend feeling incredibly anxious. No reason specifically, just general feeling that I can't cope with another loss and I don't know how I'm going to cope with being pregnant. I'm already feeling just not really myself... and crying lots. And I feel like I should be feeling really lucky that I get this chance at all. Anyway. I guess, is this vaguely normal? Does anyone have any coping techniques?
