I have just got a (faint) BFP which, going by ovulation, would give me an EDD of March 2nd.

I recently had two early MC so I'm definitely not getting excited yet - but equally trying to stay positive and believe this one might just stick, hence starting this thread!

This would be my second DC, I have a DD who is 26 months.

Anyone else?!

Sorry, feel like I'm not offering much ATM, just reading along. Don't feel like I have anything to add!! Very glad to be here though.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 18/07/2017 10:34

I'm having my first proper sick day. I've been stood at the kitchen sink heaving most of this morning since 7.30.. My dd looks really concerned for me.
I'm in work 2-7 this afternoon but not sure i can face it... i feel awful and have hot flushes so im currently lying in my garden in the shade. I forgot how bad this felt.

rebbles · 18/07/2017 11:33

@blueespottytiger Dont bother going in..will just make yourself feel worse.

In my email from ovia today it said "the placenta is growing so will take on more of the burden". Hoping will feel better soon...a horrible feeling of underlying sickness just constantly!!

OrangeCloud18 · 18/07/2017 12:31

I managed to make it to work after throwing up this morning... I'm also feeling exhausted since yesterday. I went to bed at 8pm, woke up at 6.15am and could have easily slept 10 more hours as I am struggling to keep my eyes open.
I have some tablets to take for nausea but not sure they are helping so far...

BlueeSpottyTiger · 18/07/2017 13:15

Aww orange Its tough isn't it.
I'm going to go in work, i would feel guilty if i didn't as I'm only 5+2!! I had HG last time, i was really close to hospitalization on many occasions. I don't take tablets so apart from it passing naturally it looks like i would be stuck with it. Like I've mentioned before.. i only worked around 20days, i was so sick. It finally stopped around 7/8months so i had 6weeks of holiday to take and started my maternity at 35weeks. I'm with the same employer.. its a massive company but i just feel bad. I know i can't help it- but it makes me feel guilty.
Did anyone else suffer with HG? X

My nausea kicked in properly yesterday, it seems to be worse on an evening. I'm getting through the day at work by sucking mints when I start to feel sick

mrskitty15 · 18/07/2017 14:27

Hello ladies, Smile I would like to join if that's ok please. I found out yesterday I am pregnant. I have been trying to work out how pregnant I actually am, clear blue test said 1-2 weeks but when I looked online on some of the due date calculators it said 3-4 weeks so I am confused? Trying to decide when I need to go and get to see GP and midwife etc. Any advice would be much appreciated Smile

NorthernBelly · 18/07/2017 14:45

Hi @mrskitty15 welcome and congratulations! Clear blue tests time your pregnancy from ovulation whereas Drs and everyone else times pregnancy from the first day of your last period... so 1-2 weeks on a clear blue test is the same as 3-4 weeks pregnant according to Drs. Hope that makes sense? 😊

FuzzyOwl · 18/07/2017 15:21

Congratulations and welcome @mrskitty15.

Countdowntofour · 18/07/2017 15:25

Hope everyone's feeling ok today! I'm 7 weeks today and feeling tired, nauseous and my bowels are all over the place! Blergh. Just want to go to bed but I can't yet. I also need to figure out how to tell my best friend I'm pregnant with no 4 when she's struggling to conceive no 1 😯 I need to tell her sooner rather than later, I just don't want to upset her. Any advice v welcome!

Fefifoefum · 18/07/2017 16:01

I've found those breakfast biscuit things to be my saviour! I've completely gone off hot drinks which is odd!

Also ladies, someone told me today you can't wear underwired bras?! Is that right? Like at all, whole pregnancy?!

Flatwhite31 · 18/07/2017 16:41

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the nausea tips. No vomiting thankfully, but I felt so bad this morning! The Ritz crackers really helped at work, so I'll make sure I have a steady supply of those. I'm also getting headaches quite a lot, which is a common thing in early pregnancy. My GP said paracetamol in pregnancy is safe, so I've had to take some, as teaching with a headache is nigh on impossible.
Am also so tired. Luckily my summer hols start next week. I can see myself sleeping for most of the week!

Flatwhite31 · 18/07/2017 17:04

@mrskitty15 congrats and welcome!
@Fefifoefum I haven't heard the bra thing! Will have to look that one up.
@Countdowntofour oh bless you re your friend. That's a tricky one. Are you planning on waiting until after your 12 week scan?

My stomach has also been, ahem, dodgy, but only in the morning! TBH I would rather that than constipation (TMI, sorry!) as I'm already really bloated.

FresasAndFrambuesas · 18/07/2017 17:11

Is anyone having cravings? Today I needed pickled onions. This is the first time this pregnancy, I craved picked beetroot with DD for about 2 weeks in the 1st trimester, hopefully this is a good sign, I didn't have any cravings with my mmc or my ectopic. Glad I only have to wait until Monday to see my obgyn and have a scan, right now I'm beyond worrying if something will go wrong, I just can't believe it will go right until I've seen it's in the right place.

dancing how is your spotting, has it settled? Someone else had bleeding too but I can't remember which name, I hope it's settling down Flowers

ZylaB · 18/07/2017 17:13

5+5 and queasy still, sort of wishing being actually sick on myself lol. So so tired, I'm wishing away the weeks to be honest 😂

MrsW0812 · 18/07/2017 17:51

Welcome new ladies!

I'm 5 weeks today and the only symptoms I'm struggling with are the sore boobs, constipation, cramping and tiredness. Not looking forward to the sickness kicking in as my mum said she suffered horrendously with it.

Re underwire bras. I read that you can wear them but it's not advised as can cause thenmilk ducts to block plus they can become uncomfortable. I only wear underwired ones and have already found them to be uncomfortable for my achy boobs so bought a couple of non wired Ines today - not a great selection and nowhere near as pretty 😞

whereareyousleep · 18/07/2017 17:53

6+1 and so tired and very bloated it's so hard keeping it from work when I feel so rubbish. Not as much nausea as I had with 1st though so that's good.

Countdowntofour · 18/07/2017 17:53

@flatwhite31 I'm not sure, I'm sort of avoiding talking to her at the mo which is easier than it sounds as she lives far away.. which is not making me feel comfortable either. I know she'll be happy for me but I know it'll just reiterate her difficulties as her sil has recently announced she's pregnant too. Argh. It'll be worse the longer I leave it, its just finding the words to say!

1000jobstodo · 18/07/2017 18:45

Still no nausea!! 5+1 from ovulation, 6+1 from lmp. Anyone else?! This is a bad sign isn't it. I'm beyond tired and irritable and bloated and craving beetroot but no sickness?! Oh I'm also very lightheaded and dizzy which may be a symptom Hmm
Not heard of the underwired bras, I don't think it would be a problem personally

OrangeCloud18 · 18/07/2017 18:56

1000jobs This is not a bad sign not to have nausea. Some people don't have it, some people have it for a week or two and some people for their entire pregnancy.
We are all different so our bodies will all react differently to the pregnancy.

I had an ok afternoon nausea was not too bad and managed to eat my plate of spaghetti bolognaise tonight! I am starving and cannot stop eating and nausea seems to be giving me a little break! Feeling better after being sick this morning, but for how long?

Bluebell93 · 18/07/2017 19:09

Hi Guys, can I join? Been reading for a while but too scared to say anything as it's so early!

Only 4w+5 today, but been feeling sick/bloated on and off for the past week! I'm so scared of getting full blown sickness as I'm emetaphobic (phobia of being sick). First pregnancy so fingers crossed it won't get any worse...

Have an early reassurance scan booked for 7w+6 as we're both worried about everything!

EDD 21 March

SheSaidHeSaid · 18/07/2017 19:14

Some people do not get any symptoms at all. In fact, someone where I work didn't know she was pregnant till she went in to labour!

I only slightly get a sicky feeling in the morning but nothing major. It really is the tiredness that gets me, by 2pm I'm struggling to stay awake.

WiIdfire · 18/07/2017 19:19

Welcome bluebell! I was only sick once last pregnancy, so you might escape it.

About the bra thing, its only a problem if it is poorly fitting, as the wires can press on the ducts and cause a blockage. If it is well fitting it is fine.

mrskitty15 · 18/07/2017 19:36

Thank you for the lovely welcome everyone 😊 I don't really have any symptoms so far except for tingly boobs and a heightened sense of smell. With my previous pregnancy (DD) my nausea and sickness didn't kick in until 10 weeks and lasted until around 17 weeks. I remember redecorating our bathroom Blush just before my 12 week scan. Trying to cope with drinking the required amount of water with all of the Nausea was just too much. We still joke about it now Wink

stumblymonkeyagain · 18/07/2017 19:43

Have just checked the daily mc stats and finally under 10% for me at 5+6. Counting down the hours to my early scan on Thursday evening!

I've been looking at maternity clothes and have favourited a few bits which I'll buy if we see a heartbeat....

Tricked myself into thinking I was bleeding this afternoon like almost every day so far but I wasn't
